  1. "Thank you for being a Six Flags Pass Holder.

At Six Flags America, the safety of our guests and team members is our top priority. Recently, we've made some changes to our park policies that you should be aware of. In order to make the most of your visit, please consider the following:

During Fright Fest, there is no new entry and no re-entry allowed after 6 p.m. Please plan to arrive with plenty of time to get through the park entry process. If you think you'll need a jacket, bring it with you.

All our rides, themed walkways, and Halloween shows are included with your admission. If you wish to come face-to-face with our ghouls, make sure you purchase a Fright Pass, which allows access to all five of our premium haunted attractions.

Two of our premium haunted attractions, Twisted Fairy Tales and Total Damnation, will open at 4 p.m. to allow you to begin the scares sooner. A Fright Pass is required for access to these and our other premium haunted attractions.

All guests upon arrival will go through a contact-free electronic security screening process. To make the process go as quickly and smoothly as possible, please limit the number of items that you bring with you into the park.

We are proud members of Prince George's County and the State of Maryland who are committed to doing our part to create a safe, strong, and vital community for generations to come. The operational changes we have outlined above are just a small piece of the work we are doing to ensure our mutual success in reaching that goal. We thank you for your dedication, patience, and support as we move forward together.

    Park President

So my understanding is that I know have to pay for something that was promised with my season pass because kids can't behave? And there are still no age restrictions whatsoever.

  2. Looks like it's a Larson model. Something I learned recently is that Larson models have two speeds, low and high. Snapping is pretty much useless when they are run at low, you can do it it's just not nearly as fun. Only park I've been to that has theirs on high was Hershey and that was easy and fun to snap, just not allowed so I stopped.

Anyone know of others that run in high? It's pretty obvious once you've seen the two modes. Pretty sure all CF and SF parks have theirs on low but could be wrong. Maybe I'll add that info to the list if I get enough of it.

  3. I was just wondering why no one ever posts TR's from fairs, they are often more fun than amusement parks for me!

Bummer about the Zipper, maybe it's still amazing, but for me the fun was always getting thrown around that car, and it always baffled me why the new cars still even have a door? I feel like if the front was open it would probably make up for it.

Deggeller Attractions still has a classic Zipper which is the best I've rode, pulls more G's on me than any ride I've been on. They do the Maryland and Virginia state fair, will probably post some photos from the Maryland one. I think they have the only Huss Supernova in the United States as well.

Thanks a lot for the unique TR!

Wow, what a rambling series of disconnected thoughts. Paragraph upon paragraph describing Google Earth images. This is not "research." There is nothing firsthand in the entire article. The author read some articles and used some mapping programs and wrote about an Internet search. Nowhere in this entire piece is there any original reporting or any actual journalism. It's sensationalism. Moving on.

Can't you at least be a little constructive with your criticism? He clearly put a lot of work into that, and it's obviously okay if you think it's crap but that's a bit harsh no?

  5. I was very surprised to see a classic park model listed on a used rides site, as I thought the eight in operation where the only ones left.

Question is, does anyone know where this ride is from? I did as much research as I could but the only photo is a photo of a photo and shows almost nothing. Would be much appreciated if someone on this forum can ID it!

The ride vehicles are unlike any of the flyers currently in operation, and the price makes me think it's not in great condition and probably hasn't been operated in a while.

  6. ^It's the worst loose article policy I have ever experienced that's for sure. No clue what they were thinking, the locker area is way too small like you said and creates a bottleneck before the actual ride sometimes too.

It's also the perfect area for fights to break out, it's cramped and people are stressed about their expensive items. I've only seen a few aggressive arguments between guests but I would be shocked if there have been no fights there.

And the poor employees that have to work it and and have to enforce a dumbass policy that many guests will yell at them about. I get loose articles have been an issue on these RMC's, but this can't possibly be the only solution.

  7. "Family members have said they were unable to free Michael and David from their restraints after the raft flipped, which left them submerged for several minutes.

“When it flipped over, all of us were trapped in the safety seat belts," their father, also named David Jaramillo, said in an interview with "Good Morning America" earlier this week. "I see the silhouettes of my sons trying to grab each other, grab us. They want us to help them. We couldn't do it.”'

First hand accounts from accidents are notoriously bad but I think this is what people are going on. It's not hard for me to believe it was the belt, even in no panic situations kids have trouble with those types.
