Anyone know what's up with Green Lantern? When I went on Satuarday there were 10+ incidents where riders re entered the station at an odd angle and could not be set into the loading position without a mechanic.
Has anyone ever seen Insane have this problem as well? I just remember it happening a LOT on Saturday...
Yea, that's pretty much normal. I guess it goes with the nature of the ride. It happened around the same amount of times on my 38-ride single rider marathon session in December. Hopefully they're working on a way to speed up the process of putting them right-side-up when this happens, as they said in the Q & A.

Awesome day today, and can't wait for tomorrow! Night ERT on X2 was incredible without having more than a two train wait.
-
Leaving in 5 minutes! Going to be there right when check-in starts to meet all of my TPR peers!
-
Green Lantern:FF at SFMM about a month ago. It will be my first ride since then during ERT at WCB on Saturday!

How are we going to get a backstage tour of Silver Bullet if 70% of it is over water?...
Just like under the station and electrical stuff near the station? (Which, don't get me wrong, would be totally cool too)
I was thinking about that too... I'm most likely going to do the Montezuma's Revenge tour if we can only do one, followed by the roundhouse tour as my second choice, with Silver Bullet being last.

Agreed. I have ridden Green Lantern at least 30 times, and not once have I had an issue...um down there. All my rides have been fun and enjoyable. And I haven't heard anyone complain about the other Zac Spin incarnations. What is it with Americans and finding some kind of pain on any ride that doesn't move in a straight line.
I'm with you, I've had no pain down there on my 50+ rides on it. Only a few times can I recall any pain in my stomach area, and those were on very imbalanced rides where I was going through the initial turn head first...

Viper would have to be the worst ride in the park, my left ball still hasn't drop from riding that coaster three months ago....Scrap metal sounds about right!
That award would have to go to Revolution, IMO.
If I were you, I would hope that QueerRudie doesn't see that, or you'll feel the wrath... I have Nina as my least-favorite. I like to use the term least-favorite over worst because every coaster is special.

Goliath has a theme?
I suppose it does, the whole line has that "jungle" theme. Plus the sort of sand/clay look of the letters and outside area that sort of extends to the ride station.
^^I will half to whole-heartedly disagree, I'll take the ride with the roughness over a few other rides in the park!

^ That and theres a bumper sticker on the tractor that's says "got aquatrax"
No there isn't
You aren't looking closely enough then.

And here I was reading this whole thread thinking it was brand new... Everyone made some great points though, no local should expect special treatment, anything extra is a bonus.
-
^FYI, there's an edit button.
I recall reading that California Screamin' is an Intamin... Not that fast by any stretch, but I think it's a fun launch.

^Six Acres is six acres! I won't complain at all if we get a huge coaster, but I would really love to see the park get at least one really nice flat ride first. Obviously that wouldn't have to be in the LJ area, though.

I'm doing the DL 1/2 in September. I'm shooting for 10 minute miles and qualified at a 10K this past week for the prioritized start! Excited. Sir Clinksalot, didn't you just run the one last month? How was it?
-
Definitely going opening day as well, I've never been to an opening day for a ride at any park, and I'm sure as heck excited for this one!

Not to take away from Robb's point about Cedar Point being the better choice (and I would agree based on what I know without having been there), but I'm surprised Robb didn't mention Tatsu. Also, being a SoCal local, I've had *many* rides on X2. I've had my fair share of rough rides, but I wouldn't call that the norm. But Tatsu.
You'll still have a blast!

Wow, can't believe this! This Intamin goodness will surely make me forget that S:EFK will be closed at SFMM!

From what I've heard, Disney really doesn't want to infringe upon your "DIsney experience," so they try to stay as much away as possible from having to deal with stuff like this. This is why they let you take photos of your on-ride photos, etc...
-
^How are you adding the 3D to the video? Youtube says it's converted 3D. Nice update BTW.
-
Awesome pictures! LOVED the prop room pictures.
-
^Not sure if this is the point you were trying to make (so forgive me if I'm just repeating you in a different way), but there's no California law for this. As a counter-example, Montezuma's Revenge at Knott's uses lap bars.

^^^You should be able to get in with the voucher, when I went with my voucher for my pass I went straight into the park with it (they scanned it) and later went to processing.
-
Man! Sounds amazing! Can't wait! Six Flags has announced nothing! That sucks. But sounds like KNott's day will be AMAZING! Hope we get some tours and such at SFMM.
Let's get a tour of Log Jammer!

Even though I want a coaster, and it'll probably be a coaster by SFMM standards, I really would be pleasantly surprised and also very happy if it isn't.
But who am I kidding?!
I doubt that it won't be a coaster, but if it isn't, I would expect a very nice flat ride... That would make me very happy.

Actually, some parks practice this, but only if the guest is really disgruntled with this inconvenience.
EDIT: However, these passes are usually referred to a front of the line pass (good for one use), not a re-ride pass.
I've heard ride ops refer to these as exit passes, but maybe that's just staff slang.

I had the most exciting two days at theme parks I've ever had! Thanks to Robb and Elissa and the two parks for putting this all together! I will also now be going on the New Hotness tour! (pending approval by Robb and Elissa)
