[RCT3] Tennessee's Great America
XYZ replied to fraroc's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Looks very good! I like the green and blue "Deja Vu" color scheme as it fits well. My only problem is that helix at the end doesn't look very B&M-like. -

You always show spectacular photos and these did not disappoint. That 2nd photo is definitely my favorite. -
This is the best way I've found to ride all the coasters at SFMM: Go on Orient Express first, then ride Tatsu, Superman, & Ninja. Then, go down the hill and ride Riddler & Green Lantern first. Then, you could ride Batman & Apocalypse, though these two rides typically don't have very long lines. After that, you can head over to Colossus, Scream, & Goliath. X2 typically has shorter lines at 3:00pm, so do not rush to X2 in the morning even if it sounds like a good idea. Also, don't forget to ride Lex Luthor & Sky Tower. Full Throttle will not be open at the time you are visiting the park. Also, bring your Discover card for 5% discounts and for early entry to the park (5 minutes before the park opens).

[RCT2] PROJECT I: Playland Park (NCSO)

1975 - 1976 Update New for 1975 is the Big Blue Skyway, a chairlift that transports guests from Mining Town to the Playland Monster midway. One of Big Blue Skyway's towers is located next to Pacific Flyer's first drop. In 1975, Rocky Shore Expedition was removed for Terror Mountain, a double looping, double corkscrew roller coaster designed by Arrow Development. Terror Mountain opened in 1976 as the coaster with the most inversions. Terror Mountain's double loop. You can see the old waterways of Rocky Shore Expedition underneath Terror Mountain. This is the end of the 1975 - 1976 update. Thanks for reading and comments are appreciated. -
The "Pleasant/Unpleasant Surprise" Thread
XYZ replied to cfc's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
From my first visit to SFGAdv a month ago: Pleasant Surprise: Bizarro: I expected an average B&M floorless, but this was really good and was a much better ride than Scream! It's my 2nd favorite B&M after Medusa (SFDK). Dark Knight: It gave me more of a thrill than I expected and the theming was pretty good. Plus, I like the continuous loading in the station. Green Lantern: I expected an average B&M stand-up, but it became my favorite stand-up. I liked it more than Riddler's Revenge as it was much smoother than I expected. Kingda Ka: Many give OK reviews for this one, but I think it is underrated, it's a very good coaster. It's my 2nd favorite coaster at SFGAdv and is very re-ridable. Superman Ultimate Flight: It was more intense than I thought and the pretzel loop was insane in the 7th row. (I'm used to Tatsu's pretzel loop in the first few rows) Houdini's Great Escape: This is such a great family ride. I knew somewhat of Vekoma Madhouses but I didn't know that they would give the illusion of inversions. Unpleasant Surprise: Nitro: It had a very bad case of the rattles and the airtime was OK. I put Nitro at the same level as Goliath (SFMM) until I get a smooth ride on it and I expected much more from Nitro. Sky Screamer: I haven't been on a Sky Screamer for a few months and I expected a little more thrill than the one at SFDK since SFGAdv's Sky Screamer is taller. I got a very subdued ride, though at least I had rather lower expectations to begin with. -

I've decided to get a CGA 2013 pass when I'm down in the Bay Area for 5 weeks to check out all this hype. It's going to be good to come back to my first home park. -
