The TPR Games Forum Moderators Random Thread
mcjaco replied to robbalvey's topic in Games Forum Moderators
SGW is blocked here at work, so I can't post until tonight. I had drafted something very similiar to Robb's post, and was going to post tonight, along with the _brandon_ exchange, and the PM from Shyguy giving me permission to post his stuff here. Two can play at this game. Except that I'll be leaving the party after that post. The _brandon_ exchange pisses me off, because he's been banned before, disappeared, and re-created a new account to join. Except that he actually posted and told me that he had learned his leason. It was cordial, and I told him I'm always willing to give people a second chance. Especially teenage douchetards. My favorite was gci2011 saying how bad the TPR forum has gotten lately. He's a new user....and one the was a major pain in the ass! -
I just read the whole SGW thread on the train ride in. His software doens't allow posting from a BB, so I'm stuck until tonight. Part of me wants to, and part of me doesn't care. I am going to respond with a screen shot of ShyGuy's "OK" to post his custom scenery on the Exchange. I still have that PM. So disgusted with that group. I thought they were one of the better ones out there....

Posted to Shyguy's World. Basically outlined what Robb just said. And said, "just remember, you're only getting half the story." Shyguy is like the premier Custom Scenery creator for RCT. He's worshipped like a god, but he'll tell you he is no where close. I believe he lurks here. -

I'll write a post to the SGW staff (liam and Shyguy) when I get home. Although I partially agree about the mediafire argument, as I've let it slide in the past (mostly because there wasn't a good place to upload files), my argument with jordy was that his reasoning was flawed in not using the Exchange. Not the actual use of it. These kids take this way too seriously. Shyguy is in his late thirties too, so he gets it, and doesn't care for the drama either. -

Is the file up for download? If yes, how can he stop you???? Just asking. Have you tried Googling "rocker79?" Sometimes that will lead you to the creator. -

gci has sucked since he joined. I don't even recall johan, so that speaks volumes enough. Shyguy is a pretty cool guy, I may shoot him a PM to ask them to knock it off. The more sites out there, the better it is for the entire RCT community. These kids need to go out and look at the sun. -
There's a post? See, my spider forum senses are quite good now!

You're right. And right one the money. Jordy, feel free to post away. You have to understand that we've put a lot of work into this Exchange, and for someone to pop in, post a link to somewhere else (even if it's mediafire), is kind of a slap in tha face. We're offering you everything mediafire does for file hosting, plus a community that's second to none (thanks to the participants here). I'm going to lock this as it's going nowhere now. Jordy, feel free to PM me, and we'll work on getting your stuff properly up and running here. If you want.

Ugh. Three hours of role playing, and three more to go.....why did I sign up for this training. RD you did the right thing. Leave it in here. With one post, he's just trying to be a leach. Wouldn't be surprised if Krypt or jordy is a friend and they're testing us. Kids think we haven't seen it all before..... Back to class!

Hey guys can someone announce the winner today? Totally forgot I'm in all day training, and I won't be at my PC until after 3:30!!!!!

I think what pisses me off more, is that *I* wasn't forcing jordy to use the Exchange, I simply stated it had all the tools available that he claimed mediafire did, which was his statement of why he didn't want to use the Exchange. And I really don't like some kid continually saying "Now let's get this back on topic." It's like telling me to shut my mouth, and that no one should have a say. Glad I'm in training all day today, my fuse if short! -
We've already got a Thread all about this: Recommend an App! Please use the search function in the future!

Fucknuts. Honestly, I think we have a pretty good group of kids on the forums. Granted I've had to weed out a lot of bad apples over the past couple of years, but the forum is actually one of the few that's readable, and not full of pubescent wang slinging. -

^ Use a different roof, or different walls. Too much of the same isn't a good look. Otherwise, I like it. I have yet to mast the hack of getting transfer tracks. So I always like seeing those. -

Krypt is now on my shit list. -
^ You know what irks me? Guys with 38 posts telling me how to run the Forum. I read QR's post as you should upload it to the Game Exchange, as it's easier to do. Not you have to upload it. Context is everything. Jordy's reasoning was that he wanted a down load count, which the GE provides. No one is forcing anyone to use the Exchange, but we're trying to make it the most complete database for game files out there. Excuse us if we want to bend a few arms to get people to use it. I spent over two months populating the Exchange by myself. That's a s*^%ton of work, I'd appreciate a little "yeah you should use it, it's awesome" from some of the users here. Not the typical holier than thou attitude. It was. You brought it up again. Let it go. As jordy said, let's get back on topic.

Like I said, the Game Exchange has a download counter. No calculating necessary.
-
The Game Exchange does this too.
