I'll definitely take pics. Now that they've given us Fat Tire here in Chi-town, I'm hoping they start spreading the love with some Blue Paddle. Derek, I'm a big fan of the Pyramid Hefeweizen. I haven't been able to find Thunderhead around these parts. I've got some photos of some other local brews to come in the next day or so.

Photo TR--My Disneyland Grad Nite
mcjaco replied to arrowfanman's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Consider yourselves lucky. Back in my day, grad night consisted of hanging out in the gyms and courtyard of our high school. Hmmm, let's see I just got out of this dump and now I can hang out there another eight hours??!!! Sign me up! Oh wait, it was mandatory.......crapballs. -
Mmmm beer. Another great TPR! I'm off to Denver next week on business.....somehow I planned just enough "free time" to head up to Fort Collins.....New Belgium here I come!
-
I'd love to got to Fenway as that would complete the trifecta of "original" ballparks. One of these days......one of these days......I hope it's nicer than Yankee Stadium, I was rather disappointed in it. Way too much hyp for what I thought was a dump.

Real fans know that Alex Gonzalez's miffed grounder caused the melt down, not Bartman. My wife is friends with his cousin and I've met him a couple of times. He was a doofus before the "incident." He has been in hiding since then though. As for the tickets, they're tough to get which is part of my dismay with the organization. If we keep filling the stands, why put a good product out there? The Tribune is making money hand over fist because of this stupidity. 1988, was awesome. I loved that Dodgers team. How can you not remember Kirk Gibson's homer?!!!

^Thanks. In the last three years I've been to games at Dodger Stadium, Jacobs Field, Yankee Stadium, Chase Field and Miller Field. I've "visited" Coors Field and Huber H. Humphrey Metrodome. I'm off to Jacobs Field in two weeks...perhaps another PTR. I will do a large PTR of WDW when I go there this fall to make up for my Random PTRs'.

PTR Guy's Overpaid, Underworked, trip to N.Y. & New Engl
mcjaco replied to Guy T. Koepp's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
This is seriously one of the best TR's! I've been trying to stiffle my laughter at my desk. Thanks for making part of my Friday afternoon at work go by a little faster Guy! -
Make daily sacrifices to Jobu. Just watch the pitcher's release (easier said then done), the hand grips the ball off to the side rather than from behind (like fastballs) and, they flick the wrist. They're taught to actually snap their fingers at the release point. Then pick out the spin of the ball. The laces tend to rotate horizontally. And do that all in four tenths of a second!!!

They keep "improving" Wrigley so, I figured I better get some pictures before it really changes. The bleachers were completely redone this year and were digusting named "The Budweiser Bleachers." Glad to see commercialism seeping into the last stadium to steer clear of it. I still play semi-ish pro ball. It's the one thing I can't get enough of.

The exterior shots they uses Maine East. I'm not sure of the interior ones. John Hughes liked to use a branch of Maine high schools that was closed and used as a adult education center (the same one he used for Uncle Buck).

OK, so I'm a devoted Cub fan (thanks Dad) that's been cherring for the Cubbie Blue for over 31 years now. In that span the "Lovable Losers" have gone to the playoffs 4 times......FOUR stinking times. It pains me to think that there's a 15 year old Brave fan that doesn't have any idea that a team can't make the playoffs. Anyway, this year I decided against purchasing any tickets to show my disgust with the Tribune Company for pulling the wool over our eyes for the past 20 some odd years. They won't get my money....yeah that will show them. My buddy, however, still clings onto the hopelessness and gets ten games worth of tickets every year, just in case. Whatever, these guys are miserable. So, he's got an extra ticket and asks me so, naturally, after a two game winning streak I'm feeling pretty good (their first since August of last year) and I relent. Seriously, I might as well jab pencils in my eyes, it would be less painful. Here we go: (I magically posted these pics backwards.....I'm a Photo TR virgin, be gentle.) The statue of Harry Carry, the most overated sportscaster of all time. Note the sun beams, I think it's photographic proof that the Tribune Company is still trying to blow sunshine up Harry's buttocks. The famed Marquee. Hmmm, seems to be at a loss for words....as is the rest of Cub Nation. I will admit still the prettiest scoreboard in the bigs. I will note that the Cubs make this easy for the guys working out there. They just have to make sure not to run out of zeros. Man I did get here early. Better get that buzz going, it eases the misery of watching. Here's to you! This is for Wally. Quite a view from the nosebleeds. Look at that cell tower array. And yet, they are more interesting to watch than the Cubs. Let the drinking begin, we've got two hits through 7 innings! No better sight than baseball under the lights. It hasn't helped the Cubs, they still stink. As I walk out in disgust...again, I snap one more picture. I won't be back this year you stinky ass clowns.

OK Derek. I see your Hop Devil and raise you one. This is my first. It gets a thumbs up from me. As for the the look, I'm post shower after softball. So technically I was naked....just before these pictures. Mmmmm. Glad I picked this one up. My Hop Devil. Looks good.

A question about the t-shirts???

^ As long as you don't change it to drywall! -
^ Only if they team her up with Batgirl.

Interesting. I'm wondering if the recent Batman movie has churrned up new interest in Gotham's characters thus, this attempt at revisiting Batwoman.

The Breakfast Club, another classic filmed close to where I live. I have to drive past the high school tomorrow night. Should I take picture in memoriam? Always loved his characters, mean spirited guys that made you laugh. And yes, this is making me feel old too.

OK, here's what I had tonight. Wally, eat your heart out, it's a Bud Light. It's part of a Photo TR I hope to get up in the next few days......heh heh, I said "get up." I'm a Cub Fan and a Bud Man, ok maybe not. There's no way you're getting me to drink Old Style!

Glad the Hop Devil get high marks. I had not seen it around here until Friday so, I immediately picked up a six. I'll post pics of my first taste, perhaps with my man boobs covered up....or not! Looking forward to seeing the first batch of Weiss Ass. Humorously, I had a claimant with a last name is Weidass. It made me giggle.

I was going to post what I had to drink over the weekend but, I'm not sure I can compete after all this!

I don't know, I often think of lovely plaster products while riding coasters. Ok, nevermind, I want the donkeys back.
-
C'mon Wes, you're getting soft on us! I bought lots of beer to help the American economy.
-
Sounds like a good time Derek. I just bought my first six of Hop Devil this afternoon. Your constant TPR's of it better do it justice! I'll post pics later this weekend too.
