  1. I actually had one this summer. I was one Thunderhawk, first row, as we hit the lift hil and began descending my restraint let out one click. Freaked the ever living crap out of me.
  2. ^ Aye, aye Captain!
  3. I was going to say it's pretty close. My Mom actually let us stay home from school the morning this was on, so would understand what we we're going to see in a few short weeks. I remember that clip like it was yesterday... He's got the dates wrong on the videos, it should be 1983.
  4. Yikes, does that bring back memories! Thanks for sharing Robb! Check out the customer in the commercial for Ice Hockey. It's Phil Hartman!
  5. These set ups were just coming out as I was getting out of drumming. I wanted to upgrade to a DW set (they were new then). Ahh the memories, the horrid band names........
  6. Must be nice being able to go outside during the day. We were lucky if they opened up the courtyard for us the last few weeks. Ceramics, I took that senior year. My Mother still proudly displays my ceramic aardvark from that class.
  7. Rotos scream 1980's. I had a set back when I played. I miss drumming, it was a great way to burn off some teen angst. I had a 5 piece Pearl Maxwin Set of rotos Zildjian 14" Medium Crash Zildjian 22" Dry Ride Zildjian 14" Medium Hi Hats Paiste 12" Fast Crash I tried getting back into a couple years ago and was lost with all the changes. I was, however, delighted to see Vic Firth Dave Weckl sticks were still around. Those were my tools of the trade.
  8. Or Miller...... D'oh..... I sampled a Blue Moon Pumpkin Ale last night after my softball game (no pics). No too shabby, very light on the pumpkin taste, thought it could use a bit more kick. I then moved onto the Sam Adam's Octoberfest. Another Sam Adam's I love.....curse than Jim Koch, he's singlehandedly making me poor.
  9. I loves me toaster oven!
  10. No order: 1.) Rollercoaster Tycoon (PC) 2.) Donkey Kong Jr. (Coleco Vision) 3.) Super Tecmo Bowl (NES) 4.) Police Quest (PC) 5.) Bases Loaded (NES) 6.) Paperboy (Arcade) 7.) Final Fantasy VII (PSX) 8.) Splinter Cell (XBOX) 9.) Metal Gear Solid (PS2) 10.) All Star Baseball 2004 (PS2)
  11. Barnaby's takes me back. Good pizza when accompanied by a pitcher of beer. Malnati's, Ginos East, and Giordano's for me. Though, it looks like Giordano's is getting a bit Mc Touristy. Best thin crust. End of story. Giordano's service tends to suck too. I've yet to go to one where the staff pays any attention to you. Their commercials are horrendous too....
  12. ^ Ture dat. Except for maybe some of us losers that haven't been to CP yet.....
  13. Again, congrats to Adam! Poor bastard..... Here's what I was up to last week while the wife was out of town.....I've just about finished off my Sam Adam's Brewmaster collection. Is anyone else getting little red x's for my pics? They were all up last night... I passed out shortly after this picture, from pure New Belgium happiness!!!
  14. We eat Little Ceasar's all the time since it's right down the street. I'm not a huge fan, but it's easy and cheap (like me ). My all time favorite is Gino's East here in Chicago. Lou Malnati's is close behind.......oh man, then there's Barnaby's thin crust......damn it, now I'm hungry!
  15. Mine was Dominator on June 18th! It has been forever!
  16. "Hang on to them hats and glasses....cuz this here's the wildest ride in the wilderness!" Ah, BTM goodness......
  17. Secondary slow???? They couldn't even find receivers! Ug, what an ugly loss. Not as ugly as that SC runningback injury..... What was weird was we were discussing the creation of the Joe Thiesman Award. It would be awarded to the player with the most gruesome injruy caught on TV. I think we jinxed the poor kid.
  18. I played the drums for many years....alas, I didn't have the space or the time anymore.
  19. I will freely admit that I know nothing about beer, especially compared to the rest of you. But I do enjoy the taste of Stella, so I drink it. I also like Guinness. There are two tastes that really don't go together... dt And I say keep doing that Dave. I, for one, don't care for any of the Great Lakes stuff, so I don't get Wally's infactuation with it. I'm sure there are people that don't like Fat Tire (just plain silly).
  20. Ug, my wife is a Michigan fan (I'm an ND fan) and we went to her parent's house to watch the game in HD. I'm wondering if was uglier in HD???? I haven't heard the end of this all weekend long....
  21. Definitely. The sign for SFGAm has been in pretty bad shape the past couple of years. I'd rather see the cash go into something else (like getting Deja Vu or Revolution running consistantly), but you have to start somewhere.... I think paving Deja Vu would be a much more cost-effective idea. Bring back Sky Whirl!
  22. They have this ban in Chicago. I think they ticketed a couple thousand people in the first few days of the ordinance and then stopped enforcing it. Now it's back to business as usual because all the drivers know Chicago PD isn't going to chase them down and ticket them. What's the point of having an ordinance if it's not enforced?
  23. Actually, you have to get to CVG. ORD is still five hours away from the starting/finishing point of the trip.
  24. That's sweet! I'm looking for someone that ships New Belgium stuff. My buddy did a run to St. Louis and picked up some Skinny Dip and Sunshine Wheat a couple of weeks ago. I'm in the same boat, I don't want to waste it. Raglin Road is pretty cool. Have you tried their "Irish Corndogs"? Car bombs are my most feared enemy after Peach Schnaaps.
  25. Definitely. The sign for SFGAm has been in pretty bad shape the past couple of years. I'd rather see the cash go into something else (like getting Deja Vu or Revolution running consistantly), but you have to start somewhere....
