Launch day is near! PS3/Wii-kend Launches.
mcjaco replied to Homer's topic in Random, Random, Random
^ Depends on the Target. My buddy is a manager for the electronics department at a Target in Plainfield. He said the 360 was gone within minutes, although they only had 10. He said he was impressed with the PS3 graphics, but it still has the typical PS loading. At one point, he actually thought it froze on him it took so long. The X-Box was the last system I bought of the last generation, I'll neve go back. I loved it, and I considered myself a PS2 fanboy. Good luck to all the tools waiting in line. -
And by that you mean, passed out on a table, right? Tomorrow, the wife and I are off to Leinenkugel's on our way to Minneapolis to visit friends. We tried to get into the Summit Tour, but they're booked through December! Oh, well. I guess the next trip. I'll have pictures when I get back. As well, as some photos from Camp Snoopy...wiiii!

It certainly isn't the most exciting thing to do, but a well edited video is so worth it.

I would of done it by wearing gloves that were a wee bit too small... What a complete joke this guy is. Matt "if the glove doesn't fit, you must acquit" Jacobs

Dave, There was a robotic dog in the original. I don't think it talked, just made stupid faces when the characters talked to it. Kind of like Barkley on Sesame Street. I actually had a couple of action figures from the original show, like the stupid robotic dog! I loved the evil robot guys and their Kitt like eye.

^ Awesome Erik. Glad to see I'm not the only one that still has his original Figment! I think I still have the baseball hat too.... -
Robb likes meatballs or Yeti skat. You decide.

Maybe we should institute that every so often. Kidding, I like the new polls.

I was waiting for that.

I'm still trying to get the OK from the wife to buy a 360. I'm sorry, but $600 for a system is just to be steep. -
And here I thought he was trying to choose a Computer Expert. Perhaps wait for Vista? Media Edition is just a wasteless update to Pro. I never use any of it's "features."

No. Did you know I'm bringing sexyback?

I'm having the same problem. I've applied at a ton of places for part time work for seasonal help. No one is calling me. Help Wanted signs everywhere, and they won't call back....makes perfect sense.

^ My head is spinning after that post.... Not really "a dream" but we did get to be First Family for the American Adventure. Here's my wife proudly displaying the certificate. -

I've been in WDW withdrawal since we got back. It's already been a month! I'm with Kevin, those are cool! I want some of my own! Wow, I'm going crazy with the explanation points in this reply! -
How the heck do you play a game with marracas? Matt "there should be a game with a washboard and a moonshine jug controller" Jacobs

Oddly enough, I bumped into an "ex" this morning on my way into the office. I hadn't seen her in about 8 years, she looked smoking hot.....I always thought she might be the one that got away. We just could never get on the dating page at the same time. We were really good friends that when one wanted to date the other, the other one was dating someone else. It's always fun to wonder, what if.

I voted for Homer J. Simpson for one office this past Tuesday. We basically had two criminals running for governor here. The current one has been indicted and the one running against him was the treasurer for a past governor that's about to serve jail time. Both of them suck. It's really sad that neither party has been able to come up with someone that really wows the voters across the board. And they wonder why voter turn out is so poor.

I've got to get my drink on.... I've lined up my trip to Minnesota next weekend. Scheduled trips to Leinenkugel's and Summit are already reserved....I'm trying to see if we can squeeze in Capital Brewing in Madison, WI too. The camera's going to get a workout!

Make sure to break down your utilities, so you get a better ideas of what each costs. Cable, phone service, internet, gas, electricity, water, etc. And you'll have your deposit (1 month's rent) + your first month's rent due right away. That can be a chunk of change. As for moving, unless you've got a ton of stuff, get a UHaul and a bunch of friends. Pay them in pizza and beer (or soda). Good luck!

I live in a fairly nice neighborhood on the Near North Side of Chicago. It's a lot of typical Chicago bugalows, but my block is two and three flats of apartments. We're on the top floor of a two flat right across the street from a park and, live above our landlords and their 5 year old daughter (that's an entirely different rant). Our neighbors on one side are silent, naturally that's the side with the dining room and kitchen. On the other side we have our other neighbors driveway and then their building. They hold raucus dinner and vodka parties every Saturday night that go to all hours of the night. And we're not talking young people here, they're in their late 50's with two teenagers (whom they also let drink right out in the open). In June my wife and I returned from a great trip to Cleveland (I scored my first trip to Geauga Lake) to discover early the next morning that they purchased a puppy. It woke us at 3:30AM howling in their driveway, because they rufuse to let it in for the night. This went on for weeks at all hours of the day and night. Our landlords called and talked to them, the neighbors on the other side of them talked to them, the neighbors on the other side of the alley talked to them, and yet it still continues. It continued this morning....I don't get it. You buy a dog, and you won't let it in the house, you don't play with it, you don't take it for walks...and you ignore it while it barks incesantly all day and night as if nothing is happening. Then when the Police ring your doorbell for a noise disturbance, you won't answer the door....WHAT THE HELL???!!! Did I mention we're moving in May????
