  1. Hello TPR!

I've begun work on a hybrid woodie, which is unnamed and unthemed at the moment. This is really the first draft of it; I guess I'm really just experimenting. Either way, it took a while to do as much as I have done. Let me just point out that there are no hacks for the supports... yet. For now I'm just using CS.

  2. So... Freaking... Awesome...

    Aah, an afternoon alone with

    My favorite book, "Broadway

    Musicals of the 1940s."

    No roommate to bother me.

How could it get any better than this?

    Oh,hi Rod!

    Hi Nicky.

    Hey Rod, you'll never

    Guess what happened to

Me on the subway this morning.

This guy was smiling at me and talking to me

    That's very interesting.

    He was being real friendly,

And I think he was coming on to me.

I think he might've thought I was gay!

Ahem, so, uh, why are you telling me this?

    Why should I care?

    I don't care.

What did you have for lunch today?

Oh, you don't have to get

    All defensive about it, Rod...

    I'm NOT getting defensive!

What do I care about some gay guy you met, okay?

    I'm trying to read.

Oh, I didn't mean anything by it, Rod.

I just think it's something we should be able to talk about.

I don't want to talk about it,

    Nicky! This conversation is over!!!

    Yeah, but...

    OVER!!!

Well, okay, but just so you know —

    IF YOU WERE GAY

    THAT'D BE OKAY.

    I MEAN 'CAUSE, HEY,

    I'D LIKE YOU ANYWAY.

    BECAUSE YOU SEE,

    IF IT WERE ME,

    I WOULD FEEL FREE

TO SAY THAT I WAS GAY

    (BUT I'M NOT GAY.)

    Nicky, please!

    I am trying to read....

    What?!

    IF YOU WERE QUEER

    Ah, Nicky!

    I'D STILL BE HERE,

Nicky, I'm trying to read this book.

    YEAR AFTER YEAR

    Nicky!

    BECAUSE YOU'RE DEAR

    TO ME,

    Argh!

    AND I KNOW THAT YOU

    What?

    WOULD ACCEPT ME TOO,

    I would?

    IF I TOLD YOU TODAY,

    "HEY! GUESS WHAT,

    I'M GAY!"

    (BUT I'M NOT GAY.)

    I'M HAPPY

    JUST BEING WITH YOU.

    High Button Shoes, Pal Joey...

    SO WHAT SHOULD IT

    MATTER TO ME

    WHAT YOU DO IN BED

    WITH GUYS?

    Nicky, that's GROSS!

    No it's not!

    IF YOU WERE GAY

    I'D SHOUT HOORAY!

    I am not listening!

    AND HERE I'D STAY,

    La la la la la!

    BUT I WOULDN'T GET

    IN YOUR WAY.

    Aaaah!

    YOU CAN COUNT ON ME

    TO ALWAYS BE

    BESIDE YOU EVERY DAY,

    TO TELL YOU IT'S OKAY,

    YOU WERE JUST BORN

    THAT WAY,

    AND, AS THEY SAY,

    IT'S IN YOUR DNA,

    YOU'RE GAY!

    BUT I'M NOT GAY!

    If you were gay.

    Argh!

  3. Profile of a ride: Blue Fire

    1944029641_BlueFirelogo.jpg.0962fcb2282fa4b2ab1727fb5ca22ff0.jpg

Now this is a history-maker. Blue Fire was the first looping roller-coaster built on Canadian soil, in 1980. When it opened under its original name of "Adrenaline Rush", both the park and its star attraction reported record crowds. For nearly two decades, our unique coaster has thrilled guests large and small, fearless and thrilled.

As you can see, the parking lot is a great spot to watch young guests finally braving a looping coaster, or veteran riders just having a blast. A common refrain from the top is "I can see my house from here!".

The park has recently renovated the theme tunnel, making the Blue Fire experience yet more unforgettable. Now with better fire cannons and a mist machine, this tunnel enhances the ride in ways most people have never dreamed of!

Of course, another favorite of the ride is its many twists. Some claim they can see the entire park in one ride just because of the many points-of-view riders experience. And of course, our amazing thread-the-loop element is great to watch and to ride!

It might be a long walk, but it's certainly worth the wait!

Thank you, Blue Fire, for giving everyone such an amazing time at Six Flags Ontario!

Only the second of its kind in Canada since Vortex opened at Wonderland, this swinging roller coaster was built by Arrow Dynamics in 1992 to fit the "Spanish" theme of its area. Its name means "eagle" in Spanish, which is no big surprise considering the frequent feeling of flight many riders experience. Here are a few pictures of this beaut':

Next week, Blue Fire, one of two Schwarzkopf loopers in Canada!

  5. And about the trees, i'm not supposed to piss you off! I was just saying that in MY world there is a "group" of trees in most themeparks that has the same species!, I think it would be unreal if there was a new kind of tree of every alley of the park.

That's not what we meant. We mean a new tree every tile, not every area of the park. Adding shrubbery and bushes and flowers would help too.

  6. ^Thanks!

    The Kingston Whig Standard

Six Flags Ontario a monthly report by Kyle Piche

    August 3, 1996

Hello, fellow Kingstonians! It is once again time for our monthly report on Six Flags Ontario. Yesterday, the park made an exciting statement. I went to check out the fuss and a representative told me this:

We're very pleased to announce we have 3 (count 'em) coasters on the way in the next three years; we've started to develop a "Kiddie Coaster" from "Preston" and a "B&M" "Stand-up" roller coaster, both of whose constructions are to begin immediately after the season ends on Halloween. The "Kiddie Coaster" is to be located next to Wolfston Railroad in the lot formerly occupied by Starship. The "Stand-up" will be located in the "Spain/Mexico" area and will jut out over the lake. As for our third coaster, you'll just have to wait 'till next year!

    Sounds exciting!

The park actually presented me with this concept art of their Stand-up coaster:

    Stand-up Concept Art.BMP

They have, apparently, come up with a name, but they just won't tell me... Oh, well, I guess since they're starting to incorporate Latin-America into their "Fiesta Espanha" area, it will have a Mexican name or something. That's it for this month! Bye now!
