  1. Yea I'll definitely keep the Polynesian in mind when my fiancé and I go back in October for Food & Wine. I did notice however that MK's fireworks show is about 10 minutes shorter than DLR's. I wonder what the reasoning is for that. Also, Illuminations at Epcot is f*cking amazing! Was really impressed by the finale. Too bad LuminAria @ DCA was doomed from the beginning.
  2. I love how BGW operated BBW while it was snowing but SFMM won't run ninja if it's less than 60 degrees.....
  3. Wow! Looks like one hell of a show. Saw the gridlocked freeways and toll plazas yesterday and it looked miserable. Watching from the Polynesian definitely looked like the better way to view the show. Thanks for sharing.
  4. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. I personally found Sheikra to be a lot better than Griffon.
  5. XC isn't that big of a deal cause the 2nd train doesn't do much for capacity and the ride is more reliable with 1. SB with 1 train sucks. Glad to hear they have both operating.
  6. Bullet clearly has 1 train operation still. Does XC still only have 1 train?
  7. Anyone else heard rumors of The Mummy closing to make room for a lower lot expansion?
  8. I don't think B&M ever used photo eyes on their lift hills. They've stopped using photo eyes entirely as a part of their control systems too. I'm really not sure why SF is still using them, let alone using them on lift hills, which is very uncommon. They use photo eyes at every block still, too. B&M used photoeyes on their lift hills. I know this for a fact. Scream has a couple at the top of its lift as does Silver Bullet at Knott's. You're correct though that they stopped using them.
  9. B&M stopped using photoeyes on their lifts probably for that exact reason.
  10. I wonder if all these issues TC is experiencing are programming related or mechanical.
  11. But does that require coming to a complete stop and just sitting there? I get the need for the brakes, but a complete stop (and wait) seems excessive. I agree with you that a complete stop is not necessary but that's the way the ride was reprogrammed. I've never really been a fan of Goliath so really matters little to me.
  12. Lightning in Kuwait is probably 1..... I'm scouring RCDB to guess the other 3.
  13. Link to Article This is sad to hear. I know how much Sea World Vets and trainers care for their animals and I can only imagine how devastating this must be to them as well. Cue PETA a$$hats in 3......2......1......
  14. If I was Tony, I would be spray painting random dots all over the property to watch coaster enthusiasts go ape sh*t.
  15. CM's don't write group size on "Paper Re-Ads." They are defaulted for 6 as that's what it has printed on it. Re-Ads are now issued electronically (via guests ticket/AP) in the event of a downtime or service recovery. 1 ticket can be used for an entire party as long as the party size doesn't exceed 6. CM's are supposed to refrain from issuing the pass for resort-wide use. It should be limited to the attraction that had the downtime or at most, that particular park. IE: Screamin should be issuing Re-Admission passes for Screamin or if needed DCA. "Paper" Re-Ads are supposed to be used when electronic system is down or if the guest in need of the pass doesn't have their ticket media readily available.
  16. ^My thoughts exactly. You seem like you would know these legal matters pretty well. What say do their cranky neighbors have? The aren't going to want anything in there that's too noisy.
