  1. Hi werner,

glad to see i'm on the right track avoiding those a-holls

After Walibi i basicly going to spend a few days in amsterdam,

so, i just guess staying the night ,after visiting the parkm in a location in the park's area would be cheaper than spending the night in the city.

Although checking a bit on the net , i get the feeling the area is quit full of "posh" not so cheap hotels,so mybe a good place somewhere between the city and the park?

  2. Thanks guys!

Just booked the last room at "Hotel de kroon" just outside Efteling.

So,any tips for a nice place to stay near walibi?

Do you know of any discounts for entry tickets?

looking fwd for "reride Goliath without getting off!"

although i would be surprised to see that happen on a sat in late june no?

Oh , and should we skip robin hood due to it's roughness situation i have read about?

    what do you guys think?

  3. Hi,

About visiting which park on which day the answer is simple: Efteling on friday and Walibi on saturday.

The Efteling has way more visitors on a saturday compared to a friday so.....

Never heard of "Bee&Bee" but after looking at it it seems ok, the price is good and it's really close to the entrance of the Efteling, maybe a 5-10 min. walk

    Paul

    Thanks paul.

Do you know if they open up "the dragon" wood coasters along the opening of the park?

I plan on being at the gate about 30 minuets before opening and rush over there as they open...

What kind of lines should i expect on friday? about 20-30 minuets for the bigger rides?

  4. hi all,

i have the 22 and 23 of june free for visiting efteling and walibi world near amsterdam,

im not sure what is better:

Doing efteling on a friday and walibi the next day or the oposite.

i assume that these dates are just before the summer school brakes, crowds should be regular for the season?

Still i think efteling would be more crowded but knows how to hendle crowds better?

basicly walibi is a one trick pony for me-goliath-so i mostly visit the place just for it...

Any thoughts or tips would be grate.

any nice place to stay near walibi?

any one know this place near efteling:

    "bee&bee katsheuvel"?

    thanks!

  6. Hi everyone,

Need some advice on crowds in late april.

I'm thinking of visiting europa park at 25.04.12 - 26.04.12

(going to holiday park for one day at the 27th)

As i checked the parks site, these dates are right after the german ester 2012 school holidays.

In addition to the fact that these are mid-week days , i suppose this all should mean a not too crowded park??

    What do you guys think?

and also - do you think staying at the on site hotels really worth it?

    Thank's!

    Gil

  7. ^Feel free and call in or type your question in chat tonight. We've been doing the US Trips in that time frame for years now and our participants have never had any issues thanks to all the fantastic perks we give them.

    Thanks sharkTums,

As i'm from the other side of the planet i won't be able to stay up for the chat.

Hope a transcript of it would be on line after it finishes.

As for the perks - i'm sure they are great, just wondering if there will be enough time to enjoy the non-ert rides around these parks when you usually get to stay at them for 1 day only...do you offer qbots or gold flash passes etch on all the parks included in the visit?

  8. The new hotness tour looks good,But i am a bit worried about the time of year it takes place - Doesn't the end of july-early august is peak crowds seasons in all these parks?

The visit should be realy relaying on qbots and ert's in order to get a good day out on a park at this time of year.

Would love to hear your thoughts about this issue.

Also - Any chance Lake Compounce will be added in? that would make it "Uber-Hotness" trip!

    thanks

    Gil

  9. It doesn't matter when the Baden-Württemberg kids are back in school, yes it will help, but you have to remember that Europa Park is in the middle of TONS of school districts. As a matter of fact, I have noticed that crowdes are better when the Baden-Württemberg kids are out of school and all those in France are in school.

Well as i understand french school holiday atarts at 2nd of July.

So might have a winner here

  10. Hi all of you EP fans and hopefully locals

I am going to be in the park's area at june 14-17 2011, And thought of visiting both Europa park and Holiday park at these days.

I just learned about the "Pfingsten" vacations for 2011.

    As i understand they are:

    Baden-Württemberg 14.06.-25.06

    Bayern 14.06.-25.06.

    Bremen 14.06

    Mecklenburg-Vorpommern 10.06.-14.06

    Niedersachsen3) 03.06.+14.06

    Sachsen-Anhalt 14.06.-18.06

Can anyone tell me if these usually effect crowds at places like europa park and holiday park?

As i thought ,since i will visit in mid-week days the park should not be too busy in mid june,But I really don't know anything about the "Pfingsten"

    Thanks for the help!

  11. Hi typhoon,

thanks for the quick trip report!

It does sound like a bad day

I would have been really disappointed if i was there for only one day and 3 major rides were not running.

I understand from your post that they opened Python especially? Why do they won't run it in winter usually?

I can't seem to find any notice on the park's site that mentions which rides are closed today,do they post it on line?

can't see any notice about fata morgana being closed down for rehab..

You said it took you 2.5 hours to get there - is that from amsterdam?

    Thank you again,

    Gil

  12. Hi,

I have about 48 Hours to spend in Holland at the end of the month (25-26 of february).

I was thinking of doing a mini-marathon and visit Efteling and Toverland day after day.

I'm just not sure if it is doable or not? Or a good idea over all? Is riding a coaster at the end of feb. tempreturs still fun ??

Google maps show the drive from amsterdam to efteling as about 1hr and from efteling to toverland as another 1hr or so.

As i'm landing in Amsterdam in the the morning.i thought i can make a few hours stop at efteling than head to toverland after efteling close,

The next day - spending a few hours at toverland and head back to amsterdam in the evening.

I have never been to holland before,so i'm not sure if it's as quick to get to the park as it looks.

Would love to hear advice from who ever lives/know the area.

    Keep in mind that:

    * My main reason for this trip is efteling's and toverland's wooden roller coasters.

    * As i understood from advice of people in this forum toverland opens "troy" only on weekends ,and after 12:00 usually.

    * The trip plan depends mainly on weather conditions.

    * Would you rather visit one park only (which?) and spend a day in Amsterdam instead?

    Thank's!

  13. hi,

    thanks for the info.

it's really put some stress off the planning process

By the way,as i understand Leisberg is actually in the city it self,But Grona lund is not ?

What is the best way to get to grona lund from the city centre? a tram/train?

You mention stocholm is "dead" on Midsummer day - Does this effect public transportation?

And one last question - Do any of these park have "Qbot" style options?

    Thank you!

    Gil

  14. Hi all,

I would like to hear your advice as i am planning a visit to sweden next June and just found out about the national swedish Midsummer Holiday.

I am planning on being in stocholm from the 21st and go over to the other side at the 23rd.

As i understand it takes place at the 24th of june 2011 (?)

as i was planning on being in Leisberg park 23-25th i was wondering if anyone "in the know" can tell me about this holiday and if it usually effect crowds at the park?

I mean, is this like a MAJOR holiday or something i should not take into account too much?

How are the usual mid-june crowds over there??

As this is probably going to be my only visit to the park the next few years i really don't want to find myself waiting in 2 hr long lines...

    Thanks ,

    Gil
