  1. I'm trusting it'll be less busy today than it will be tomorrow...
  2. I might be the few that is surprised. It's a big ride, and the skyline's going to look a little different the next time I hit Holiday World. I enjoyed it's uniqueness, but truth be told, it did seem like a strange ride for Holiday World to have. Oh well, whatever does the park best, and we'll all welcome the new plot of land now available!
  3. You know what, it is refreshing to see one of these outside of a Cedar Fair park. This is my first time hearing about this park as well! Looks pretty good so far. Can't wait to see it complete.
  4. Not too get too far off-topic, I had an idea that Pantera was a small company, but when Robb described it as basically one guy and other volunteers working on it, I was pretty surprised. I imagined a game developing team working soely on it, so props to the guy working on TPS. As for RCT4 on the PC, I especially hope it will be "decent" and somewhat redeem what they did on the mobile version... I'll keep my expectations kinda low until then, so I can at least be surprised if it's better than expected.
  5. Don't know if you heard, but RMC was brought in to re-track Thunder Run. I'd see the same happening for Twisted Twins, or maybe even altering the layout a bit to their liking. I don't see why people immediately assume every park will suddenly pour millions into going with an NTaG or iRAT makeover on their wooden coasters just because Six Flags did it with a few of theirs. I'll keep an open mind though, because the same man once brought a mega B&M stand-up coaster to the park... So who really knows.
  6. I kinda enjoy carrying my tube up a flight of stairs, but that might be because I prefer walking around while holding something (this doesn't imply towards large rafts). Other than that, I can agree with most everything else you said, including enjoying lazy rivers more than wave pools, and despising walking barefoot on scorching pavements.
  7. ^Having been a subscriber to Nerd^3 for a few months, I was not surprised at all to hear what he had to say on this game. I mean... my goodness. Edit: "My goodness" as in RCT4. As a guy who loved the previous RCT games, I think this is a fair reaction.
  8. ^Thanks. Glad to get a response on it, even with a thread made with no feedback/replies in it yet... It's available for download in the game exchange though!
  9. Some people may also have the problem with attention spans. Many times I'd only listen to podcasts when I'm busying myself on an unrelated task. Apart from that, I really enjoyed listening to this and hearing about the info you and Shane shared about the water park industry. Shane's insight on him coming up with the Cowabunga parks was very enlightening, and I'm on the same boat with you, Robb, on the preferring good twisting body slides over many other types!
  10. Not a dry ride, but Holiday World has single rider lines for their two water coasters Mammoth and Wildebeest.
  11. ^^Thanks for the details. Sounds like it sums it up pretty well.
  12. I really really doubt a company that left an amusement park to rot would want to come back and spend money to fix it back up again, especially considering it was in a much worse state than when they had left.
  13. ^I think even the train that sat at IAPPA was unfinished. They might still be working on it, but we best keep a close eye these coming weeks.
  14. Thanks for sharing your report. I really like the atmosphere with the age on the park. For however old it is, it looks far better than a lot of other less old parks I know of in The States. Tornado is something I'd like to try if I ever get the chance someday, just to experience how intense Intamin can really get with their coasters.
  15. The US needs more European traveling rides! I never imagined this thing to hit The States.
  16. Sad to see Enterprise's height requirement go up. Oh well, 54" it is then. 60" minimum to ride Himilaya definitely seems silly to me, along with 54" to ride Roller Skater by yourself (but that must be from the new launch and 15 inversions they implemented recently ). Anywho, I made a quick run by the park. Basically the entire front-half of the park received a whole new facelift (as I'm sure the rest of the park did). Lightning Run is only missing the small section of track before the station, the drop tower is indeed purple, and plenty of families were coming in and out of the season pass entrance to get their passes before it goes up to $99.95 soon (act fast if you haven't)! Even with the park not open yet, I can already sense the excitement! Enterprise's carriages are back on the wheel, and received a new coat of paint. Ooh, looky! Lift hill complete! The only thing missing here is a huge digital clock on the ferris wheel. Almost all of the new rides are on the front-half of the park (minus all water park rides). Closeup porn of drop gondola. ... because some of us can never get enough. I can really dig the color scheme on the flying scooters. I just wanna know who Professor John is. Oh, hello again The park's skyline from the front isn't half bad! It's gonna be pretty exciting to finally try all of these new rides! *gasp* The speed slide complex finally rises! Deep Water Dive and Wave Runner soon to be complete.
  17. I totally forgot when Thunder was taking place... Anyways, something to look forward to seeing this weekend! The park now probably looks vastly different than what it used to, I'm sure.
  18. Oh my stars! Totally putting this in my calendar! I wonder if this is gonna be packed?
  19. I couldn't help but notice in the first picture the new flat going up. Seems like another thing to look out for when heading towards the park!
  20. I'm certain it won't be anything major, though if anything, it'll be a funky way to end it. And i love it when rides are wild from start to right before it hits the brake run! Rides that simmer before ending tend to get lower ratings from me somehow...
  21. Aye. Lovin' the look of that first drop so far, and can't wait until the whole track is completed soon! I'm feeling a lot less doubtful about whether they can get it chained, hooked up, and testing on time.
  22. My vote would've been 1st Gen Freefalls, but I think I love looping starships more than them.
  23. If you stare at it hard enough, it's a really dark green.
  24. If any of you have seen the coaster I put up on the Preview thread a few times may have already seen this. Well, I left it for judgement on the NoLimits Exchange for the last two weeks so I could get appropriate feedback on it. I liked what they had to say, but now I kinda wanted to hear what you guys thought since I'm looking to improve it. The published version is up on the exchange now. Trackwork. Ignore the fact I used a clearance envelope while building this ride. It still doesn't pass on this aspect. Terrain and supports Final
  25. Those two bowl slides look awesome! If only we can get more themed water parks like this in the US (come to think of it, the world in general)! The whole coaster along with the whole area is looking great still!
