Pepsi Orange Streak? I'm not sure how much space they're taking up on Ghost Blasters with this new installation (never really went on it when I was there), but I don't think it's too much of a bad idea to try to integrate as much as they can to the ropes course and slides. All of these extra-extra up-charges seem like they're doing really well for the park if they're going this far with them. Which direction was the zip line going to face anyways? (I can't see the image as it's so flippin'-tiny.)

We're still talking about stairs, right??? Because it sounds like we're talking about vigorous exercise... NOT... to be confused with stairs. I'm talking about the heat Kansas probably gets during the summer. Lots of unhealthy people (read: "Americans") casually climbing the stairs only to pass-out half-way up not because they ran out of breath, but because their body over-heated (most likely due to lack of hydration). You'd be surprised how many times I've coincidentally seen something like this happen on only a few flights of stairs.

"No Single Riders" policies.
Midgetman82 replied to frost man's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The best thing you could ever do at an amusement park, carnival, or water park when you're a single rider is to make friends with people while you're there, usually while waiting in line for something, and group up with them after that ride to hop on rides that require multiple riders. It usually requires me to step out of my comfort zone whenever I do it, but the times I've done it I've had a blast! It's especially cool when you're convincing someone to ride something they're scared of and offering to go with them. -
You'd definitely have plenty of time to hop on those three in 3 1/2 hours (Maybe fit two rides in on Lightning Run), but I personally think Holiday World offers just a bit more for what you pay. Someone over at the Holiday World thread mentioned that they shed a little off the admission price after a certain hour (Central Daylight Time), so that's another bonus. Here, you'd have to add the separate $8 parking fee as well.

^I'm assuming this is them replying to a comment made on their Facebook page, because I don't see it as a main post on their feed. I'm pretty certain dine-in restaurants (like the swamp restaurant) are cheaper than many of outdoor ones like the stands in the water park. Do you plan on hitting the water park? If I ride everything, then I plan on hitting the waterpark. I've read nice things about the water park, so I'm 90% likely to hit it unless I really, really like the rides. Might be an all-day thing. Do the water park first thing in the morning (if you arrive then), because lines will especially pile up by mid-day.

I can understand how any park might want to enforce certain dress codes, but throwing in slurs and calling them names (although not proven, and I too am fishy about this as well) is far from necessary; whether you're an officer or not. I'm pretty certain dine-in restaurants (like the swamp restaurant) are cheaper than many of outdoor ones like the stands in the water park. Do you plan on hitting the water park?

Hehe, everything has a safety net. Even our safety nets have safety nets! Realistically though, getting heat exhaustion from climbing 17 flights of stairs isn't the most fun experience (drink lots of water, folks). There'll probably be a time when slide complexes will become skyscrapers and the way up will be via elevators.

Solution for Line Jumpers
Midgetman82 replied to aCoasterStory's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Spotted this at Kentucky Kingdom today in light of recent line jumping issues. Also found at Thunder Run. -
Back at Kentucky Kingdom. The concrete pad next to Lightning Run's queue now has switchbacks! I'll have photos of it later today. Also, I finally have a recommended path for those visiting the park. Essentially, you arrive when the park opens at 11am and hit the water park right away (Deep Water Dive better be your first slide!), then return to the dry side at around 2pm or 3pm for relatively shorter lines (Edit: Since most people will be in the water park). They close the water park 1 hour before the park closes every day, so expect lines to get extra long by then. ----- Edit: Big thumbs up from me, sure does keep the line from spilling out. Along with those, these signs were implemented around various queues, including Thunder Run's. Park security has been doing a pretty good job on having presence all around the park, and I've seen a noticeable decrease in line jumping the more I visit the park.

Wow! That's one of the coolest interactive live web streams I've ever seen, especially for looking around an amusement park! I wonder what that camera looks like irl when it swivels around so much from people on the internet using it! -
^I "think" the top scan could fit where the old Rainbow ride used to be, next to the bridge. The cement pad it sat on is still there. And I do not think the Quake should come back, unless its the flipping model like what you can find at Dreamworld with their Wipeout ride. Also, I checked the park's facebook page and they're replying to people asking about Enterprise saying that they're still waiting on a part to come in, but plan on it opening sometime this year.

I'm expecting anything at this point (kind of hoping its a Mack since I've yet to ride one of theirs), but rest assured I wouldn't be the slightest disappointed if it was indeed a B&M. And like mike_kelly mentioned, we now have Skyline Attractions to throw into the pit of guesses. -

^I wish the same, but they'd probably have to redesign the entire train (and maybe even the track) to take the restraints. I think those trains are slightly wider, considering how much more arm room you have in them. I thought being at sea with occasional storms was brutal, but a storm that lasts 6 days straight? Either Holiday World has something cooked up with the use of a splash section (i.e. Diamondback, Sheikra, Krake...), or they're taking up the chance to build Thrill World's , where riders are submerged for two whole minutes. -

Exactly Competition brings creativity, and creativity brings amazing rides! ^Quoted for truth! They seemed to have always bounced off of each other in terms of providing something unique each season!
