Smoothest Coaster You've Ridden?

Having come from the park recently, I'd have to say both Cheetah Hunt and Sheikra. -

Two shades darker, and could go for a really long nap. -
I was just at the park this Thursday. Got a trip report of it coming soon once I sort through all of my photos. I got to see Falcon's Fury testing non-stop almost all day (no soft opening ), and it looked like it wasn't any slower than any other drop tower (i.e. KI's or KD's drop tower). The carriage is just larger, and gives the illusion that it's slower because of it. It looks to be a killer drop tower with lots of speed on the way down. That, and the thing was MUCH more massive than I originally thought it would be! ^I do think smaller cars do give more of a sudden jolt when they drop because of their lighter weight, but I don't think they're necessarily "slower." Drop a ping pong ball and a bowling ball simultaneously (in a controlled environment), and both should hit the ground at the same time.

Is anyone bumpin' the techno music from POVs?
Midgetman82 replied to Samuel's topic in Random, Random, Random
Trance is my favorite genre of music, outside of punk rock and metal. There are some POV's with music to them which I do particularly like, but I think they choose that type because it's normally more fitting than many other genres. You won't find many rap songs accompanying a coaster video, though I'd like to see someone try someday! -

As do I. I was imagining you were doing an at-home recipe for a cleaning solution I've never heard of. -

At this point, I think it comes down to one's opinion of what's a "real" roller coaster. It has track, lift hill, cars, a boarding station... what says it's not? The terrain? The fact it can never go uphill? Personally, I'd count it. I'm sure more than half of active members here are credit whores in certain levels anyways! -
I had actually considered a visit to the park just to see if it would be better than what we're giving it, giving my benefit of doubt thinking it'd be open and friendly to everyone, but I definitely have second thoughts now. They're far off from attracting any huge crowds with the kind of publicity they keep garnering.

What is your next park?
Midgetman82 replied to onewheeled999's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I might actually end up at Busch Gardens Tampa within the upcoming weekend! Oh boy, first rides on Cheetah Hunt and maybe Falcon's Fury! -
Gears went back into motion starting with the park seeking $18 million in incentives from the state earlier this month (x), next they finally broke ground just last week (x), finally they hit headlines again with the job application requiring Christian and non-homosexual workers (x). ^I love when parks give nods to each other, especially when they're not within each other's chains! -

I'm looking forward to my first trip to Dollywood one day. I've heard nothing but rave reviews of the park, and would love to see for myself how awesome it is! Amazing photos, by the way! I especially love the Wild Eagle and ferris wheel shots! -
Can't you guys see how much planning they're putting in. Just look at those hand gestures. It has gotta be something big! I wished someone would make an El Loco themed to a haunted house. The initial climb would be ascending the stairs to either top floor or roof, only to curve back around and dive into warped hallways and through bloody kitchen, cellar, etc. It'd sure make up for that walk-through haunted attraction they had many moons ago.

That was an amazing read, and congratulations on making it through those many hours and gaining those many laps! I could see myself getting no further than Cliff if I were to try this... Oh, who am I kidding, I'd probably accidentally forget my jacket at the hotel and forfeit long before nightfall, and not just because I'm cold! Again, congrats on sticking it until the end!

National Roller Coaster Day
Midgetman82 replied to boldikus's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It started rained here in Kentucky too, but that didn't stop me! Rides in the rain are the best, ever! Sorry to those who couldn't go out. Any day's a coaster day when the park's open! -

I never got why Cedar Fair can't even maintain most woodies without trimming it. Do they know ANYBODY who they could hire to help with this? On another, non-HW note, why are steel coasters trimmed to speeds that make them BORING? I'm looking at you, Raging Bull! Don't forget ones like Joker's Jinx's lower power launch and the Flight of Fears' mcbr. I'd assume there's less wear on the trains and tracks and increased ride time with them being taken down a notch, but I'm no expert on this. -

"Your guests are commenting that Pepsi Oasis #4 is very cheap, maybe you should consider raising the price." I think you're at the wrong park, Mr. Park Inspector. It's always a little funky whenever a park makes you walk through the water park to get to another dry part of the park (or when the shortest distance to get to another dry attraction is through part of the water park). They might make water park go'ers share the path leading to Thunderbird. Since Hyena Falls is sort of situated on its own elevated patio, dry park go'ers wouldn't necessarily be bothering Hyena Falls riders. -
