^Funny. I was half-asleep and getting ready to head to the airport when I wrote that... I barely even remember writing it. Anyways, I can only imagine the new angles of Voyage you can finally get without needing a walkback tour! -

Oooh, you'll end up walking behind Hyena Falls. Then I agree, they'll probably have everyone using the tunnel to separate dry guests with water park guests... Or they break the path leading to Hyena Falls off to go towards the coaster. -

^B&M trains sure didn't help Psyclone. -
I like the look of Wicked Cyclone's layout looks a lot better than Twisted Colossus' oval. Stats don't make a better coaster (especially for me), it's how fun the layout is that'll give whichever one the upper hand. It's always weird to me when people rely purely on stats to judge what's going to be a better coaster, and stick with that without having ridden it/them. Apart from all of that, though, I think they're both equal for what each provides.

NO! That's so annoying! I've never ridden Cliff Hanger, but it looks awesome seeing that drop once you push yourself forward over the edge. And to think that that awesome name will be turned to Dive Bomber makes me even more infuriated! I totally feel ripped off - kind of what Over Texas's water park did a few years ago, but at least they kept one side of their drop slide without the capsule for the variety... Honestly what they're doing now is awesome. Those floor drop slides are much better and less dull than the "over the edge" ones. I just feel like it's a total rip off. It's like taking a coaster, turning it backwards and repainting it, and calling it new. .... I feel like I've seen this somewhere before.

I searched the threads to see if anyone caught it, but I guess the major coasters overshadowed it. Anyways, I'm not sure if anyone caught that Six Flags White Water is to also receive Dive Bomber drop capsule speed slide. Edit: I totally breezed through the paragraphs and didn't see it... Yes, it'll replace Cliffhanger. ----- Ten Story Super-Thrilling Water Slide to Make a Giant Splash at Six Flags White Water in 2015 Tallest Slide at the Park Featuring Nearly 90 Degree Drop MARIETTA, Ga. — August 28, 2014 — Six Flags White Water will make an enormous splash in 2015 with the addition of Dive Bomber, an electrifying capsule water slide towering 10 stories tall. Dive Bomber will take the existing Cliffhanger attraction to new heights and become the tallest water slide ever built at the South’s Most Thrilling Water Park. “We are excited to introduce Dive Bomber at White Water as one of the most intense water slides in the south,” said Six Flags Atlanta Properties park president Dale Kaetzel. “It will test the courage of all thrill-seekers and our guests with an adrenaline rush never experienced before at the park, when it is least expected.” The daringly tall water slide, Dive Bomber, will feature: An enclosed, clear capsule with a trap door that releases riders for a zero-gravity experience A tower more than 100 feet above the lush tree line of the park A nearly 90 degree drop Speeds of more than 40 miles per hour Park enthusiasts can follow the construction of Dive Bomber on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/sixflagswhitewater and on Twitter at (link is external). The "Say Something Random" Thread
Midgetman82 replied to robbalvey's topic in Random, Random, Random
This probably deserves its own thread, but who would anyone consider the "Michael Bay" of coaster making. -
I assume it'd be very hard (or awkward) to pull off an inversion like a vertical loop on one of these due to supporting issues. But other than that, RMC can do really good, non cookie-cutter elements when you let them build from the ground-up. Take Goliath at Great America for example, and how it had to be build more vertically than spread out or replace an an old wooden coaster.

These are very different beasts. RMC gives that insane, out of your seat, out of control experience while B&M has provided smooth and fast. Comparing the two for what's better will be, in my view, extremely biased towards what one likes and can handle in a roller coaster. Any park with both will have quite the variety already! -
I don't mean to pick apart your TR, but filtering out your positives: ... and your negatives... ... makes the park actually sound decent. At least, that's the vibe I'm getting when you get into details. I'd really consider putting more detail into your trip reports and explain why a park was good or bad. Many of us, myself included, wanna hear why... instead of only "the park was HORRIBLE!" or certain rides were "gross." What made your experience at the park so bad? (Other than 1 train operations, I guess.)
