If the weather stays bad there will be no one there. If it improves there should still be pretty light crowds.

I think Europa Park had a pretty good one if I remember correctly...very much a Disney ripoff, but that made it quite interesting!
Elissa "there are so many awesome Disney ripoffs in Europe!" Alvey

Honestly, if it gets OTSR's like Storm Runner/Rita it will still be way better than Perilous Plunge!
Elissa "much, much better load times!" Alvey

Six Flags The Great Escape sounds more like what I try to do whenever someone comes to visit and we have to go to the park!
Elissa " " Alvey

Actually SFMM is much better than Knotts in running the rides in the rain...it's usually more the fault of all the ride ops that just don't show up if it's raining outside! The SoCalers really don't like rain!
Elissa "good luck!" Alvey

Hmm, this is hard because I change my mind daily! Keep in mind these are top 5, and all shift around these spots!
Wood:
1. Phoenix
2. Colossos (Heide)
3. Grand National
4. Viper/Aska
5. Dania Beach Hurricane
Steel:
1. Expedition Ge Force
2. S:RoS (SFNE)
3. Dueling Dragons
4. Storm Runner
5. S:RoS (SFA)
Elissa "god that was hard!" Alvey

Also be aware that the weather isn't supposed to be the greatest. That can cause some problems.
Adding to the list of coasters that will more than likely be closed: Deja Vu and Ninja.
If I didn't have to go the next 3 weekends I'd meet up with you! Heck if it's raining and entertaining I still might go!
Elissa "8 hours will be more than enough!" Alvey

They need to let adults on their kiddie coaster!
Elissa "stupid kiddie credit!" Alvey

Yeah, should we think about doing a meet or something for Dave!??!
Elissa "Meet Dave, Win a Prize!" Alvey

And some of us just have a natural knack for it! :dork: My first POV ever was Shockwave at Drayton Manor on my 2nd ride! My 2nd POV ever was my first ride on Expedition Ge Force! :scared:
Elissa "they both turned out pretty decent as you see in the videos!" Alvey

^ Do you really live in Celebration! We were there in December trying to find where the lake was where all the people died!!!
I really like that place, it looks so nice!
Elissa "yeah, we were bored of the parks!" Alvey
-
It was a set up! Actually we'd been friends for awhile and after some time it developed into more...not really that exciting of a story!
For a better story, you should ask about what happened the first time I met Dave!
Elissa "I'm going to try and think of a better one now!" Alvey

Scott,
We thought you were like a more flamboyant version of Derek!!!!
Elissa "Now ask what our opinion is of you now!" Alvey

We're totally going to plan some meets and post about our trips here so people can meet up with us. As for going on trips with us...we usually hang out with someone a few times before committing to go on a trip together. It's a big deal and undertaking to take someone on a trip so we have to really feel comfortable with them.
Using the "Quaker" as an example...We met him at PPP in 02, hung out with him the next day at SFGAd, saw him a few months later at some of the California parks, met him again at SRM 03, he came to our wedding with his Mom in November of 03, then he started going on trips with us!
Elissa "start hanging out with us and you could be the next Quaker!" Alvey
-
LOL!!! Dude, those trains are hilarious looking! Almost like they have a face or something!
Elissa "with the name Rita, I was expecting some kind of pimpmobile!" Alvey
-
^ Go for it Scott! You rule!
^^^ We've eaten at that Carrabbas and the one outside of Columbus near Wyandot Lake!
Elissa "we didn't actually go to Wyandot, just Carrabbas!" Alvey

Wow! Thanks for some of those links and information. We are VERY interested in doing a trip to the parks in Mexico. When I was younger I visited Mexico quite often as my father did his disertation on it! Recently though we've been a little concerned with the reports of violence, kidnappings and other problems. Maybe you can give us an idea of some safe ways to do it, or maybe even come along with us as our "official spanish speaking protective posse"
Elissa "Let us know!" Alvey

How come Texas never gets any love??? Those are actually 3 of the better Six Flags parks! There's a nice Sea World, and tons of cool waterparks everywhere!

It's dark!
Elissa "can't see much!" Alvey

BEST IDEA EVER
Elissa "good luck with security!" Alvey

Grrr...I want one!!!
Elissa "stupid $3500!!!" Alvey

That's really a question you have to answer. How much do you like Disney, from what you've seen how many days do you think you want there, do you want to do anything else in Tokyo (La Qua and Joypolis are both less than 20min from Disney)?
We did Disney for 2 full days, and 2 half days. Felt pretty much like we'd seen most. Although I would really like to go back!
Elissa "The Chip and Dale Stuff is calling my name!" Alvey
What do you do for a living?

We're happy to answer that! We want people to be able to travel as much as we do and we think that many of you can!
First off - We both have full time jobs to make the money!
Secondly - Roller Coasters are our hobby, meaning we don't spend much money on other stuff. We don't buy DVD's, we don't go out to eat more than once or twice a week (including lunches at work and weekend dinner dates!), we don't see movies in the theaters, we don't have expensive tv channels, I turn off lights in our apartment and set the thermostat accordingly...in other words, we're careful with our money!
Lastly the trips themselves - We usually go with other people to share costs, we research airfares and book only when they are VERY low, we priceline rental cars, stay at cheap motels, don't buy many souvenirs, etc.
As for time off, Robb is very established at his job and has about 4-5 weeks of vacation a year, I work hourly and take "unpaid time off" once my vacation days and comp days are gone.
Hope this helps! Don't be afraid to ask us for help planning your next trip, we do it for our friends and family all the time!
Elissa "See, Ask Alvey, get an answer!" Alvey
