  1. ^I don't think that's quite such a big deal. There are several times that the rapids will empty out, especially if you went there first thing in the morning they probably just didn't fill the trough yet. Did you get to watch them fill up? That's an awesome site to see, it fills VERY quickly!

In other news, I've heard that BSG may be testing again, can any of our Singapore locals confirm?

I've seen rapids without water in the morning at parks, but I didn't know it was something that happened quickly. I assumed it would take several hours. You wouldn't happen to have a video of a rapids ride filling, would you?

  2. To save it, I think that all new trains are needed, designed for just this coaster. Sure they would be several million but I would be great to keep the rose bowl because I think that it reminds me of the Beast and that helix. Would the new trains going on The Voyage work or millennium flyers? .

GCI requires that they properly prepare a coaster and do a rehab on it to get Millenium Flyers if it isn't a coaster they built. You're still in it for a ton of money to have GCI do that. They may not even approve the coaster for their trains since they seem to be very selective over the coasters that can use Millenium Flyers.

  3. I had lunch with someone today that works in the light/sound industry and has done many projects for the Disneyland Resort. He said that most of his colleagues are fairly pessimistic about the World of Color. He said that a lot of corners have been cut and Disney, who is usually very good to work with, has not been listening to suggestions and has just been pushing to get this done by June 11th no matter what. I didn't completely understand all he said but something about platforms not working and that they pretty much know that all of the effects would not be working all together at once and they didn't really care.

It made me sad because he usually has such positive things to say about Disney projects.

That's really strange if it's true. I'm not questioning what your friend said, but I just can't believe that Disney would put on a show that didn't work right.

  4. Has anyone done or heard of someone doing SFA and KD in one day? It would be more like we would go to KD Friday night (in May) process passes, jump on a few rides, Saturday morning drive up to SFA do the major stuff, then come back to finish KD. Is that even feasible or just crazy?

It could work, but it is about a 2 hour drive between the 2 parks once you add in traffic. It would also be better to do a weekend in early May. Crowds at SFA won't be a problem, but KD might.

  5. Do you think people would stand there clueless as to why there is a tower ride that is seating more people than the ride that was in it's place last year???

I think most people wouldn't even notice it seats more people. If you consider that the average guest goes to the park 1-3 times a year, most people probably aren't paying a lot of attention to the details of the drop tower. Some people even think Superman goes upside down.

  6. Alright, if they don't want to add a new coaster, why not add a bigger (DROP TOWER)? As I said in another post, it's such a good investment to replace an old (Tower of Doom) ride that doesn't attract a lot of people at all.

Why would they replace a perfectly good drop tower with a more expensive one when Tower of Doom works perfectly fine? Most people probably wouldn't know the difference anyway.

What SFA needs IMO is a family coaster like THBS, a B&M Floorless or Intamin Looper, and lots of flats. This could all easilly happen over the next 5 years.

  7. ^The point of Flash Pass isn't to be fair, it's for Six Flags to make money. If the ride gets more popular, that would be all the more reason for Six Flags to keep Flash Pass. As for the building, compared to all the things the park could do with that money, I don't see enclosing Joker's Jinx as a good use of that much money. Add a few flats. Once you add a building, you're in a completely different ball game from the Bizarro makeovers.

If they did a makeover for Sperman, they could add the tunnel at the drop, make buildings in the Helix like at SFGAdv, add fire somewhere near the start of the bunny hills, add mist shield tunnels on a bunny hill, and add audio. It would be about the same makeover as Bizarro at SFNE, even with the shorter ride course.
