  1. Mac OS. It's more easy to work with, and the pricing is a lot less confusing. To quote Steve Jobs, “Leopard is shipping in October. Basic version, $129. Premium version, $129. Business version, $129, Enterprise version $129. Ultimate version, $129. It’s all the same…”

  2. Who wants "horrible PC" at $1,000 when you can get a Mac with less processing power for $3,000? Although their cases can be pretty darn slick, are they really worth the extra $2,000?

Wow, you got your facts right and everything! Too bad the MacPro is cheaper than the dell XPS when comparably equipped.

On a more related note, I too think the iPhone is far too expensive. They should leave out the e-mail, web browsing, etc. and knock the price down $150.

  3. Congrats! Enjoy it now before your parents have you go everywhere to pick things up for them!

By the way, I too cannot parallel park, we don't have to do that in Ohio. All I had to do was drive in a big circle in a neighborhood and then do maneuverability. My test took about 5 minutes (although to take the driving test you need 24 hours of drivers ed and 8 hours of in car driving lessons, as well as having to pass 2 written tests).

  4. So The Schedule..

    Monday Schedule

    School Bell Rings -- 7:50

    1st Period Class

    2nd Peiod Class

    *10 Minute Break*

    3rd Period Class

    4th Period Class

    *45 Minute Lunch Period

    6th Period Class

    7th Period

    School Ends At 2:43

    7:50 to 2:43!?!

I go from 7:25 to 2:40, have no 10 minute break, and only have a 30 minute lunch. Stupid Ohio.

(By the way, since I forgot before, Great TR!)

  5. Wow, your school is really open! My school is nothing like that at all, we're not even allowed to go outside (except the seniors during lunch). Just curious, how does your schedule work? I take it you don't have the same classes every day like I do.

I wish my school make our schedule less confusing, people always freak out when I say that I have 12 periods.

  6. ^ Oh pleeeeeeeeeeeeease. iPods last longer than a year. Where do you people get this crap from?

You're right. My wife saw a report on ABC that said they're made to last four years!

The Apple rep. was misquoted. She said iPods last FOR years not four (4) years. I've had my iPod since 2003 and it still works great!

As for service, Apple gives 90 days for phone calls (iPods are limited to 1 call), and 1 year for hardware support, unless you buy AppleCare which extends both services to 3 years (2 years on iPods). Dell and HP also only have 1 year warranties on their PC's and you can buy a 2 or 3 year extension for about the same price as AppleCare is. Every time I have called for support or went into the store, everyone was very friendly. Just Remember, online support is still free. This link should solve your problem-> docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61711.

  7. From The LA Times.

Matt Ouimet will leave his position at the Disneyland Resort to run the hotel operations of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. Ouimet, 47, will be replaced by Ed Grier, a 25-year Walt Disney Co. veteran who most recently headed Tokyo Disney Resort. Grier's portfolio will include Disneyland, California Adventure, Downtown Disney and the resort's three hotels. In a letter to the Disneyland staff, Ouimet wrote: "From my office window, I can clearly see the Matterhorn, Space Mountain and the Tower of Terror — and I am certain my new office will have a much less compelling view. In a three-minute walk I can enter Toontown and wander the park. Most of the time I'm just enjoying our guests and our cast ... and that is what I will miss most of all."

  8. ^The weather is so different here compared to Ohio.

I gotta say, I think I liked it better there, althought it might have been I was at CP.

Ohio weather is odd. In spring, fall and winter it can be in the mid to upper 60's one day and snowing the next. As for summer, it's usually in the 80's and 90's most days with a lot of pop up thunderstorms. As for today, it was a very hot 97 degrees.

  9. As much as I hate to say it, Geauga Lake is another credit stop. Steel Venom (If the holding brake is on), Dominator, and Big Dipper are the best rides in the park. If you haven't been on a flyer before you might also enjoy X-Flight as I did (people who have ridden B&M flyers tend to be more snobby about how the Vekoma ones ride). They do have an excellent waterpark across the lake and I do recommend spending some time there.

On Raging Wolf Bobs you might enjoy your ride if they are running the black train, if it's the red/silver train you won't.

On Villain be prepared for a spine adjustment- don't ride in the back.

I'm not sure if you can ride Beaverland Mine Ride, I got that credit when I was 12.

On Thunderhawk, I find the 3rd or 4th row to the back of the red train to be the "best" place to ride (Thunderhawk, IMO is not as bad as people always make SLC's to be, I have heard it's one of the "smoother" ones).

Double Loop is actually an alright ride, I don't think it's too rough.

As for the Boomerang... well, it's a boomerang.

  10. At Cedar Point for the early entry to the park you are limited to riding select rides that will be posted inside your hotel.

As for Geauga Lake, unless something special is going on, you should be finished with the credits rather quickly. However, I would recommend visiting Wild Water Kingdom for a while. It's actually a very nice waterpark. As for good rides at GL, I would say Big Dipper, Dominator, and Steel Venom are all worth re-rides (especially if the holding brake is on when you ride Steel Venom).

  11. I was at Cedar Point and Millennium Force got stuck halfway up the lift hill for a half an hour, they all got Exit Passes.

For $300 (correct me if I'm wrong on the price) at CP you can get an exit pass aka VIP pass.

$350 per person with a 4 guest minimum (Parties of 2-3 guests will be assessed a $50.00 fee per person. Sorry, no single-guest parties).

  12. Having gone through CPR and AED classes, I can honestly say using an AED is not as problematic as it may seem. They walk you through what to do step by step and only allow a shock to be delivered if the person needs it. It's not like you just attach the electrodes and press the "shock" button (for an example of what an AED does, here's a website with a demo www.aedheart.com/xpad4.asp).

Plus, in 2000 the "federal AED law" was passed to provide Good Samaritan immunity to all potential rescuers.
