  1. Yeah, I assumed from the start that this would be one of those things where you would need to spend clams to get him. I actually might be okay on everything but the beards- I think I only have 6 so far.
  2. I see...I know they had it, but when I didn't see it in action the past few times I was there I figured they had just removed it permanently. Good to know!
  3. Really none of the stadiums at SWSD have covered seating. You can find some shade, but not much. During the summer, it was downright brutal during the daytime! I would really welcome some covered areas in the stadiums! And I agree- while I've never been to SW San Antonio, I've always thought the pics of their stadium looks weird given that I'm used to San Diego!
  4. What? That's just...odd. But hey, at least it worked out to your advantage!
  5. It opens at the same time as the rest of the park! In fact, during busier times/days of the year, they'll do "early entry" where you can ride Transformers (which is on the Lower Lot) before the rest of the park officially opens! They've also done this with Despicable Me on the Upper Lot. For what it's worth, I would recommend hitting Despicable Me first if you're getting there at opening to minimize your wait for that one- there's no single rider option unlike all of the Lower Lot attractions (Jurassic Park, Mummy, Transformers). But of course, if you don't care about DM, just go and marathon the Lower Lot since that's even what Universal suggests to their guests on the tips/show times guide!
  6. I'll go ahead and post too... I'm not picky, so I'll be happy with almost anything! But to make it easier on my match, I'll say that I would love anything from a theme park, especially if it's from Universal (merch from USJ is my favorite, with UOR being a close second...I have a lot from USH since I go there a lot!). Also a huge Disney fan, but I have a lot of the merchandise I currently want. I do collect pins from all theme parks! If you want to look for Disney pins for me and if you're familiar with PinPics at all, my user ID is TCox91- on there you can view what I already have and what's on my want list. I'm also a collector of park maps and brochures! Outside of theme parks, I like a lot of film/TV related stuff. I collect all kinds of entertainment memorabilia, from authentic celebrity autographs to prop replicas to just general merchandise and collectibles! I'd say right now my favorite shows are The Simpsons, Bates Motel, Family Guy, Once Upon a Time, and Agents of Shield. Some of my favorite films are Jurassic Park, The Avengers, Back to the Future, Star Wars (original trilogy), Fast and the Furious, Alien/Predator/AVP, and Halloween to name a few. I also love anything horror related, especially in the form of park events like Universal's Halloween Horror Nights, Haunt/Knott's Scary Farm, Six Flags Fright Fest, etc. I'm a big fan of the classic Universal Monsters too- Creature From the Black Lagoon, Dracula, and Frankenstein are some of my favorites. Here's a link to a wish list that I also use for redditgifts that contains all kinds of stuff I'm interested in. I realize that a lot of it is super expensive (outside of the $30 range for this exchange), but even if you choose not to get something from the list, it will give you a better idea of what sorts of things I like! It is up to date, so anything listed is something that I don't already have: http://smile.amazon.com/registry/wishlist/35EOQ32BCEEZV And if you're still stuck, here are some random "favorites" that might help you: Favorite Marvel characters: Thor, Captain America, Black Widow, Rocket Racoon, Groot Favorite DC Comics characters: Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Riddler Favorite Disney characters: Mickey Mouse, Ariel, Nemo, theme park "characters" (Hitchhiking Ghosts, Brer Rabbit from Splash Mountain, etc) Favorite snacks: Licorice (Red Vines, Twizzlers, even Australian licorice!), chocolate bars (Hershey, Milky Way, Crunch), Pocky, Doritos (Nacho cheese) Favorite drinks: Mountain Dew (any and all varieties!), Dr. Pepper (again, any and all varieties), anything with vanilla in it...I'm also always up for trying something new or "weird"! Favorite celebrities (living and deceased): Victoria Justice, Zachary Levi, Yvonne Strahovski, Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Katy Perry, Kaley Cuoco, Ariana Grande, Summer Glau, Harrison Ford, Steven Spielberg, Alfred Hitchcock, and of course- Walt Disney! Favorite (as in most want to visit) theme parks that I have NOT been to: Universal Orlando, Universal Studios Japan, Cedar Point, Six Flags Great Adventure, WB Movie World (Australia), Tokyo Disney Resort, Hong Kong Disneyland, Busch Gardens Tampa, Busch Garden Williamsburg Favorite coasters that I've ridden: Xcelerator (KBF), X2 (SFMM), Full Throttle (SFMM), Riddler's Revenge (SFMM), California Screamin' (DCA), Space Mountain (Disneyland- California), Manta (SWSD), New Texas Giant (SFOT), Shockwave (SFOT) Favorite Disneyland Resort attractions (excluding coasters): Indiana Jones Adventure, Star Tours, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Undersea Adventure, Radiator Springs Racers Favorite Universal Studios attractions (excluding coasters): Transformers: The Ride 3D, Jurassic Park The Ride, T2:3D, Universal's House of Horrors (formerly at USH), E.T. Adventure, Back to the Future The Ride, WaterWorld, Backdraft, Studio Tour (Jaws/Amity and the Psycho House & Bates Motel are probably my favorite areas), Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey (okay, so I haven't been on this one...yet. But I'm guessing it will be a favorite once the USH version is open or when I get a chance to go to UOR!) Favorite colors: Blue, green, purple Favorite sport teams: Arizona Diamondbacks, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Houston Astros, Phoenix Suns, Arizona State University Sun Devils Favorite animals: Sharks, tropical fish, jellyfish, cats Shirt size: Men's small (medium works if small isn't available) To my match- I don't mean to overload you with info, I just wanted to give you a lot so that you have tons of things/ideas to choose from! Thank you in advance for your gift, and Happy ChrisHanKwanSivus to all!
  7. Nope, you're not the only one! I loved Hammerhead, and I wish it was still there! It may not have been necessarily popular, but in my opinion it was one of the best themed flat rides! I remember that there was a fountain at the base of Hammerhead, and after it closed a couple of the mermaids were moved to Perilous Plunge (and were then removed when that area was redone). If Knott's still has them, it would be cool if they found a new home inside of Iron Reef! These are the mermaids I'm talking about- they were part of a larger fountain when Hammerhead was around. Another mermaid (and a fish).
  8. Same here! It has a very "Sharknado" vibe to it! I would love it if they sold this art as a wall poster or print! I'd also like to see them do pins inspired by the art, like maybe Supreme Scream with a tentacle around it and the Iron Reef logo at the bottom of the pin (yes, I collect the Knott's pins!). Also- does this art remind anyone of Seaside Heights in New Jersey (still too soon)?
  9. 1. How do you most often watch videos? (DVD, Blu-Ray, Digital Download, Streaming.) Blu-Ray for me. I like having a physical copy and in the highest picture quality available, so for me that's Blu-Ray. I will watch something on DVD if it's not available on Blu-Ray though. I use iTunes for digital downloads, but only watch them when traveling (think long plane flights!). My family has a Netflix subscription, but I don't stream content through there very often, nor do I really use Amazon or UV (even though I have Prime access and several films/shows on my UV account). 2. What streaming services do you use the most? YouTube for general use (examples: TPR videos, random vlogs), and Netflix for copyrighted or "paid" content (examples: TV shows, films). 3. How many DVDs or Blu-Rays do you buy a year on average? Blu-rays = 20+ (I think I'm up to about 20 already this year, and plan to buy more this holiday season) DVDs = 10-20 (Will buy these when the content I want is not available on BR or if it's significantly cheaper than BR) 4. Do you use a device like Apple TV, Roku, or Chromecast? No, I do not currently use these devices and don't plan to in the near future. I probably will eventually though! 5. How much do you watch videos on YouTube versus all the mediums listed in the poll? I would say I use YouTube more than any of the other mediums! I will watch several videos on YT each day (usually short videos, like coaster POVs or music videos), and it probably adds up to 1-2 hours per day. In contrast, my favorite medium, Blu-Ray is something I use a few times a week, when I have enough time to watch a movie in a full sitting.
  10. I definitely get your point, although I believe I read somewhere that Raffi said it wouldn't be removed (don't have the source handy, unfortunately). Of course, that's not to say that plans don't change! Or that my mind possibly made it up completely and he never said that.
  11. I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who was putting Grem-aliens in my town yesterday! Offhand I remember seeing quite a few from cfourmont, scuba911, and guytkoepp, but I know there were others too! Thanks to all of you (plus a few lucky UFO strikes containing protein strings), I was able to get UBO without using donuts, with only about an hour to spare (although we now know it's still going on)! Sorry to hear that you had to spend donuts, SharkTums! I tried to help you out by dropping Grem-aliens in your town! Too bad we didn't know ahead of time that the event would still be going on past the official countdown.
  12. I saw photos on facebook showing that the "Roaring" part of the sign is gone. No word on what's going to happen to it, but I'm guessing it's getting refurbished. At least that's what I hope is happening! EDIT: Also saw that the candy store window near Cordy's Corner is getting a paint job that matches the rest of the Boardwalk area (looks similar to the operator booths at Pacific Scrambler and Surfside Gliders), which is why I'm guessing that the Roaring 20s sign is getting refurbed. Makes sense to restore that whole area of the park with a (speculated/unofficially announced as of yet) new ride coming!
  13. I hadn't even noticed this yet! I'll probably also wait and see, though I'm already tempted since I'm a big American Dad fan, and I'd love to have the Smiths to be neighbors to the Griffins!
  14. I saw it too, and I liked it a lot better than the Family Guy crossover! As for protein strings, I'm basically in the same boat. As of right now I'm about 1900 away from UBO, so I will probably be using donuts to get it before time runs out. I thought I was making good progress, and I got the other top prizes in the last two cycles without using donuts, but I guess I haven't been playing enough this round!
  15. Yeah, I'm not surprised at all! This is SFMM after all... Glad you were at least able to get an answer though!
  16. Yeah, I had no idea about "times" when I activated mine. Just assumed two meals per day. Only reason I knew about the meal times was that I saw it posted in one of the restaurants. Obviously as the site says, the timeframes vary, but in my experience it seems like the meal times are generally 11AM-3:30PM for lunch, and then 4:30PM-restaurant closing time for the dinner. So whenever I go I will usually use this as a general guide to planning out my meals, but of course the actual times may be slightly different.
  17. I just took a look at the site. While the 2 or more season dining passes are listed for $90/each, the fine print says that they had to be processed at the park by Nov. 2nd. I tried to add two to my cart just to see what would happen, and got the same issue you did. But when you view the deal in the cart, it says they are offering a "4 or more" deal that must be processed by 1/4/15. So it looks like the deal you were looking to get may have ended, and the site hasn't been updated to reflect the new sale where you must buy and process 4 or more season dining passes. I believe that this is also how the regular season passes were set up this year- for the Labor Day Flash sale, you could buy any quantity of 2015 season passes at the discounted price (plus get the free upgrade to Gold plus Hurricane Harbor), but since that sale ended you now have to buy 4 or more season passes to get a discount. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong- I already got my 2015 pass (plus dining) during the flash sale, so I haven't paid much attention to the current sales since then. I would contact SFMM to see if this is the case (or go to Guest Relations if you're going to the park anytime soon): https://www.sixflags.com/magicmountain/plan-your-visit/contact-us Screenshots: It looks like this is the new deal- 4 or more season dining passes at $90/each if they are all purchased and processed by 1/4/15, otherwise an upcharge to full price is required. I highlighted the part that shows that 2 or more had to be processed by Nov. 2nd. So unless they decided to extend the sale date, this deal has ended.
  18. Yep, I noticed this too! I wanted to put the portals I got from the Frankenstein boxes on that square (when I saw it was cleared), but there's no room to build on it! I'm guessing this will eventually be new land to purchase, or maybe even a future district.
  19. Just a friendly PSA...if you are using cheating methods to gain extra clams, STOP IMMEDIATELY! TinyCo is cracking down on players who are using illegitimate methods to get clams. From the Family Guy: TQFS facebook (of which this post appears to have since been deleted): To add onto that, some users have gotten this message in their games (screenshot is from a facebook user, not my game): For the record, I have never used cheating methods to get clams, but just in case anyone here has (because let's face it- a lot of things in this game are premium items!), make sure you stop so that you don't get locked out of your game! Currently they are issuing warnings, but second time offenses will result in bans from the game.
  20. Okay, that make sense! Well in that case, sorry for the spoilers!
  21. Just found this article...does anyone even have these in their games yet? It doesn't show up in mine, and I don't see an update to download as of right now. And I already have both houses, so I would think I would be able to see them if they're in the game. But at any rate it sounds like this might be challenging unless EA decides to make a last minute change! EDIT: Spoiler alert! The link shows content that is not yet available in the game as of this writing. http://tstogame.com/2014/10/28/fences-may-just-ruin-this-event-too/
  22. That's too bad to hear. Last year was my first time participating in the exchange, and I would love an opportunity to do it again if it's offered!
  23. Having the same issue. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, doing a force close and reset, and still nothing. I'm probably going to submit a support ticket to TinyCo if I can't get it working tonight- I've been trying to get it working for the past 2 days already!
