  1. Never got this anywhere near finished due to having to much fun on Seaworld and other stuff but here's the layout I promised to post

Looking back at this it was a good layout and if themed well I could've won but yeah I was too lazy ^^

Anyway have fun checking this out and if anyone wants to use this plz say so I'll have no problems sharing cuz its just a raw layout basically

    Have fun...

  2. Srry for not answering anything yet but I've been swamped with schoolwork atm, as soon as I've got time I'll make some how to topics for you guys, but as I've said I'll take specific requests so I'm not explaining stuff you guys already know so I don't waste my time with pointless threads, just post wich how to you want and I'll reply if I can do the specific hack or not and I'll make the how to then...

Examples I can make, ferris wheel lift for a rapids ride,

Stationary train in transfer sections, applies for any stationary train you want placed aswell

Simple realistic stations for coasters and flats....

the non-glitching wooden catwalks on B&M coasters...

    to name just a few,

  3. -Also the path isn 't that fitting, a ghost town is mostly deserted so the roads won't be as clean, try incorporating more scenery onto your paths, this can be done without glitching with invisible paths and path objects below them so still have the same look, but you can add more details to your path, like weeds comming through the tarmac, barrels with water, scrapwood and stuff like that to indicate the ghost town is really a ghost town isntead of something that attempts to look like it.

You obviously haven't been to Knott's Ghost Town.

My budget doesn't allow to go that far for theme park visits, I hope you'd understand

  4. Haha thanks, if you want dmax you can get a personal preview of seaworld cuz its finished...

Just name a few things you guys want some "how to" from...

there are a few things I can do so when I find the time I'll post em,

Also I think it'd be cool to have a subforum in the games section only for the "how to" threads so as you've pointed out that they won't get lost in the depths of the forums...

So if anybody want to ask something specific I'll take requests...

I'll try to get a decent switch track hack up by the end of the weekend if you guys don't mind...

  5. Few things that can be improved I think though,

-Details aren't as refined as this can be, try looking at pictures from real life for instance this can help you a lot

-Some more colour variety wouldn't hurt the screen, you also have a habit of using the same texture a little too much and it affects the atmosphere, I think also a wood texture would be better fitting for a ghost town than bricks....

-the foliage can use a little more "low" plantlife to give it a more natural feel

maybe try to look at my unofficial quest for the best entry over at ne. it got me a victory in that round so maybe check it out since it has a western theme...

http://www.nedesigns.com/index.php?showuser=46380 you can download it from my page...

the things I do like is the fact that your buildings aren't all on the same level, you have a good eye of variety in depth of your buildings so it isn't flat faced...

you're of to a good start and I hope my advice helps and maybe kick it up a notch....

  6. If you master 8cars in combination with SonOfBeast trainer pretty much everything is possible, from making stuff invisible, to just zero clearances, merges, turning huts and all those lovely hacks...

If anybody wants this I can set up a few realism based tutorials for you guys to improve your hacking skills...

For instance the stationary trains in a switch track building, removing those ugly station track sections while its still a station....

If anybody wants these things explained I'll make some specific tutorials when demand is high enough...

I think if the better hackers here can "teach" some of their skills here I think we'll be doing the community a big favor...

Also stuff like parkdat are very simple tools and just give you such opportunities to better your bench while building so you don't have to restart everytime you need objects you forgot...

  7. I agree, while this is a good base to start from you're missing details and clever tiny things that really bring this to life,

For instance the foliage can be better and your archy is pretty repetitive as far as I can see, try some more variation with the side friction because now I have the impression you knew it was turning out well and you played on safe a little with the structure, try some more colour variations, some different structures and I think it'll look way better.

  8. Ah just a tip for future ride invisible making.

    Diagonals cannot be made invisible.

Yes you can actually, using the Geewhzz hack for the invisible huts and stuff, you can make everything invisible, even diagonals, its just a little harder and you really have to know what you're doing...

And white glitches can be removed with Map Object Manipulation you just need to know how to use MOM and select the right scenery type you want to remove, once you get the hang of it its pretty easy to do though.

  9. Why is it when people post about NE they say we are crazy? Seriously we aren't crazy we are just take it to another level wich requires more thought and planning going into it and not just random building like some people tend to do...

To speak of this park I think there is potential here but it needs a lot of work, for instance the foliage: you have almost no tree variation and no lower levels of plantlife wich really makes everything come alive, like said before check designs and park over at NE to see what I mean with different layers of foliage, especially worth checking in that area are RRP and Geewhz

As far as the coasters go they can use a bit more flow but there isn't anything wrong in a way it can't be done, just make sure the pacing isn't lethal because some of your smaller inversions look like the train races through them at very high speeds....

  10. Cool once I get to the better view of the layout I can start designing it in rct, I'll just make this for the freaking fun of since I don't really build a lot in this style so its mostly learning to do this style, once completed I'll send you the file in rct and then you can do whatever you want with, post it here or keep it to yourself...

I'll build this for me and you^^
