^If you can catch Los Cuates when the carne asada is being freshly grilled, that place is awesome. I love the tortas! However, I went a few hours after lunch once, around 3 or 4pm, and it was very disappointing.

^^Wow, thanks for taking the time to post that awesome and detailed review. I can't wait to ride ghost galaxy!
-
That's pretty freakin' scary! Looks like KNBC has picked up the story.
Thanks for posting that link. That video is insane and really scary. Definitely glad to hear that both of them escaped intact. If I were 12, that experience would probably have ruined coasters for me.
On a side note, read the comments after the video posting on the NBC site. Guy thinks that Supreme Scream is the Parachutes, and that the video is clearly "ancient." Hmmm, nope.

Personally I'd rather see the park take out Cyclone 500 and put something else there, but that's just me.
Why didn't I didn't think of that? I agree 100%.
-
I'm cool with that. It doesn't have to be a RRC clone, I'd just like to see some kind of indoor coaster experience at DCA. Still, the I'm sure the Racers will keep me happy for a while.
-
I must agree, I'm getting really excited. Interactive characters + drop in the dark + airtime hills = Next level.
With WOC coming and the little mermaid dark ride, DCA is going to be off the hook in a few years.
Now if we could just get a Rock n' Roller coaster in the Hollywood Backlot section...

Man, I'm so jealous, guys! That empty station brought tears to my eyes. Glad a good time was had by all. I'll definitely have to go next year. Just curious, how long was the wait for Terminator?
-
^How about 10 friends for $10.10?
But seriously folks, have fun at the annual passhole's event today. I'd be there, but sadly, I have to work. I wish you all walk-ons and re-rides.

Oh yeah, the first drop does give some pretty good airtime. Yeah, that's five!
-
I hope we get a Dark Knight coaster clone....who's with me?
I know you're joking, but I'd much rather see a poorly-themed wild mouse than a Tony Hawk clone. Just my opinion.
Later on, I'd love to see a mega-lite, giga, or prefab. More airtime please!
As for trading rides with other parks, SFMM hasn't kept any of the rides they were given (RIP Flashback), leading me to believe we should get a freebie!
On a side note, on my last couple rides on Terminator, I felt 4 pretty awesome pops of airtime. Anyone else have the same count? Just curious.

^ Actually, it is September.

^Holy crap that's insane. I totally tagged a fellow TPR member in the crotch with a water fountain. Thanks for being a good sport about it!
Very jealous that you got an X2 marathon. Sadly, my bro had had enough by 5:00, so we called it a day.
-
I just hit the park today with my bro, and it was totally dead! The air quality wasn't bad at all, but it was pretty hot. We got plenty of free ice water, and though we skipped X2 due to molasses-like one train operation, everything else was pretty much a walk on. Overall a really fun trip. Terminator ran great!
Funniest part of the day, some guy was standing right next to the drinking fountains by Terminator, filming something with his camcorder. When I went to take a drink, the water arced up and hit him in the crotch! He was pissed, but my brother and I couldn't stop laughing.
-
Good to hear that it wasn't too smokey, and that the park was pretty dead. I'll be there later today, and I'm hoping for a bunch of rerides. Was the Terminator crew moving people through without the pre-show? I hope so.

Somebody mentioned 'mondo crowdage' for this weekend, but I don't know if I can agree with that. Sure, its Labor Day weekend, but we are also dealing with the wildfire mess in that area.
That was me. Sorry for the outdated surfer lingo. You may well be right, and Labor Day weekend might not mean large crowds, especially with the air quality in the area. Still, it's something to consider, and I thought I'd bring it up. Anyway, here's hoping the air clears and the crowds remain small for everyone's weekend trips!
EDIT: More importantly, here's hoping our brave firefighters all come out of this shit storm okay.
-
It'll be Labor Day weekend, too, so there may be some mondo crowdage.

Doesnt Sierra Falls count as a water slide and if so why isnt it a part of Hurricane Harbor instead of Magic Mountain?
Yosemite Sam's Sierra Falls is a water slide, but it opened in 1993, two years before Hurricane Harbor opened. Also, it doesn't require swimwear, as riders navigate the course on a raft.
I have heard people say they think Hurricane Harbor should just absorb the slide, since it is so close to the water park's edge. In fact, its so off the beaten path, I have only just recently ridden it for the first time after countless visits. I really enjoyed it, and I think it's nice having a fifth water ride in the park. Valencia can get really hot.
I'm going to have to try leaning forward next time!
-
I try for the front or back on most rides, but if it means a significant increase in time in the queue, I'd rather just take any seat.
I'll be heading to the Mountain with my bro on Thursday. Hoping the Labor day weekend crowds aren't there yet.
-
That's even better than Flash Mountain!

^Wow, that almost made me want to join facebook...almost...

Sorry if this is a little OT...
Has anyone noticed that RCDB lists Timberline Twister at 30 ft. high? Every time I go to Knott's, I try to find a low part in the ground next to a high part in the track that might get it close to 30 ft. Never happens. This ride cannot be 30 ft. tall. I know it isn't a big deal, I was just hoping someone could tell me I'm not crazy. The truth is out there!

I lol'd at Virtual Simulator. Love your thread, guys, keep it up!

Very cool TR guys! As for the unknown meal, I couldn't help but think it looked exactly like the hairless dog you had in the previous picture! I'm sure it wasn't, but I had a little chuckle.

I think the name is great. Makes me wonder if there may be a big Flash in the park's future.
