I got my tickets for Sunday, September 27 for HHN. It'll be my first time ever going to this event at Universal. Do you guys think it'll be really crowded? I'm planning on getting there very early, but I want to know if it'll still be possible to hit all the mazes and the terror tram without a front of the line pass. Also, what's the best order to hit the mazes and attractions there?

Can't find anyone to go with me. You guys think I should come to WCB alone this year? I won't know anyone haha but I've seen reports on here of people who have gone alone. How was it, from past experiences?

Went to the park yesterday and it was much more busy than I thought it was going to be! I remember going on a weekday late in June back in 2008 and it wasn't even close to being how it was yesterday! Combined with the gloomy weather, I thought for sure crowds would be light!
We still got on a lot of rides though. We waited 15 minutes for Full Throttle at 11am. Then 10 minute wait for DoD, followed by 15 min wait for Scream. We skipped TC since the line was winding way outside the entrance and went to Batman, which was a 15 min wait. Then we skipped Riddler cause it was 90 minutes with 1 train operation. Walked onto Gold Rusher. Skipped Apocalypse cause of 1 train op. At this point we left the park to a nearby Chipotle to grab lunch and take a break. Then came back and skipped Superman cause of a 90 minute wait. Then we waited 1 hour each for Tatsu and X2. Rode Dive Devil after that. Finished off the day with a night ride on Twisted Colossus with a 45 minute wait!
So despite the crowds, we were able to hit a lot of rides at the beginning before the waits got too long. I have a bring a friend for $9.99 for weekday later this month now but I'm debating on whether I want to use it or not cause I don't want to go and have it be that crowded.

Hey guys! I'm heading to the park tomorrow for my birthday! Stoked to be riding TC for the first time. My only concern is that the weather forecast says that it's supposed to rain tomorrow. I'm driving up 80 miles to get to the park so I just want to know ahead of time what they usually do when it rains. Closing rides? Closing the whole park? I'd appreciate any information you guys have.

Has anyone been to the park this week to see how crowded it has been? I'm going on Friday (tomorrow) and want to plan accordingly. Flash pass is a no-go. We'll be there right when the park opens and probably leave a couple hours before closing. Could we get all the major stuff done? I was planning on starting at Full Throttle and working our way around the park counterclockwise, hitting Tatsu and X2 last. In the past (before Full Throttle) starting at Goliath and going counterclockwise always worked perfectly for me, but I haven't been at the park in a long time so I want to know if it still would.

The park is having a canned food drive on Wednesday that allows free admission to guests that bring in the canned goods. How crowded does the park usually get during this type of thing?

This is the first time I've looked up the specs before, so I don't know how much of it you need.

Okay awesome! What do you think is the best strategy when the park opens for the night? During the day, I usually go to the Lower Lot first. Would that be the same for HHN?
-
I have never been to HHN before but have been wanting to go since 2008. That year was also my first year at Knott's Haunt, and I've been going there every year since. HHN looks amazing, but the crowds and wait times REALLY discourage me! Are there any nights that you can go where you can do every maze, tram, and Bill & Ted without waiting too long? The front of the line pass is way out of my budget, considering how expensive admission is to begin with. The last 5 years I have gone to Knott's on a Friday night within the first 3 weeks of the season and have never had a problem with wait times. We're always able to do all 12-13 of the mazes and see at least 3 shows! We're always at the front gate by 5:30 so being able to hit everything early really helps there. Would that be the same at HHN? I don't care about getting on rides, only doing the Halloween attractions.
-
^I would update to the newer version
I get the same issue I had with the old version. Still can't click anything and some of the boxes are out of position.

Got to the park when it opened yesterday, and it was as crowded as I had expected. Riddler and Batman were both running one train and cycling another empty, which I thought was ridiculous. Scream had way more rattle than I remember, Green Lantern wrecked me, and Full Throttle was freaking awesome! Although we rolled back on it going into the airtime hill at the end, so I didn't get to experience it without that interruption. Overall, a solid day, despite the fact that we didn't ride X2 or Tatsu. We were in the park when it opened and left at 5:00pm. This is what we did in that time (all once each):
Goliath
Scream
Colossus
Lex Luthor
Batman
Green Lantern
Riddler
Gold Rusher
Superman
Apocalypse
Full Throttle (posted wait was 90 mins, but it actually ended up being 45)
Can't wait for WCB 2013!
-
Hey guys! So I'm going to the park tomorrow (Friday, July 5th) and am expecting it to be packed. Just wanted to know though, if I am at the gate when the park opens, what ride should I hit first? My plan of attack before S:EFK, LL and Full Throttle opened was always to hit Goliath first, then work counterclockwise and getting to X2 last. I never once had any problems with that plan, but now that there are three new rides for me to go on, I don't know what to do. Should I hit Full Throttle, then Goliath, LL, and counterclockwise from there?
-
I got picked as well, can't wait. It's going to be crazy for me. I'll be home from LA at 11:30 on Sunday night, then waking up super early to drive up to Knott's for the shoot, then I have to be at work at noon. I'm going to be dead by the end of my shift on Monday. But it'll be worth it! I hope I have time to sneak in a quick ride or two when the park opens at 10:00, before I head back down to work.
-
Went to the park today and had an amazing day. Got there at opening and stayed until 5:30, getting on every ride that we wanted. It was a really relaxed day. But it was weird, cause the park seemed really crowded based on how many people were walking around the park, but the rides didn't have long lines at all. They weren't long to my group, at least. We got on Goliath twice (both three train waits), two train waits on Batman and Riddler, 15 minutes for Apocalypse, 30 minutes for Tatsu, 45 minutes for X2, and walked onto Scream (twice), Colossus, Goldrusher, and Tidal Wave. We spent a lot of the day walking around, checking out shops and playing games and stuff, too.
-
Didn't end up going today because the weather report said it would rain today, and no one in my group wanted to go if it was going to rain. Postponing the trip for a different Sunday in a couple of weeks, after the Spring Breaks in the area are over.
Take the Revolution exit shortcut to Tatsu right as you get inI've been hearing about this Revolution exit shortcut for years, but have never known what it is and have never bothered to ask. Can you explain to me what it is? I usually hit Goliath first, and work around to having Tatsu and X2 last. But hitting Tatsu first, then working your way around the park clockwise seems like it might be a good idea, too.

One thing that the club really takes pride in is their rich history. Real Madrid has won more Spanish and European championship titles than any other team in Europe, and FIFA voted them the best club of the 20th century. Being one of the richest sports franchises in the world, they also take pride in the fact that they represent class and royalty. They are the Spanish royal family's favorite team, too. It looks like everything about this resort will definitely represent their luxurious and decorated history well. Now we just need their eternal rivals, FC Barcelona, to build their own resort right next door.

Being a passionate Real Madrid fan AND a fan of theme parks, this is like a dream come true! I'm interested in a lot of what they're planning. The hologram show sounds really cool, and I'm interested to see how that will look when it is actually built. The video didn't show much. I'm also interested to see what that sea-side stadium will be used for, considering that European football season starts in mid-August and ends in mid-May, so I don't know when the team will be there to play in it for fans. And the article says that the theme park will have one roller coaster, and the video shows B&M track when it shows the one roller coaster. If that is the case, I am even more excited. This is insane! I know where I will be come January 2015!

How crowded do you guys think the park will be this Sunday? I'm planning on heading up and want to know if I should be prepared for a lot of people, and whether or not I'll be able to hit all the coasters at least one time each.
Spring break is starting, but SFMM's Spring Break promotional event doesn't start until the following week:
Spring Break presented by WONKA® NERDS® Seasonal 3/31 - 4/15
So it will be busy, but not as busy as the the weeks when they are doing their Spring Break stuff. I will not be "empty" if that's what you're looking for.
Yeah, I don't have a problem with a moderate crowd level. But do you know if they do the Coke can deal, still? Before WCB last month, my last time at the park was May 2010 and I know we used it then.

The park should be almost empty. If you went on a Saturday than it would be packed but since you are going on a Sunday the lines should be no longer than at most 30 mins for rides such as X2 and Tatsu. I say that you will get on every coaster if you arrive at opening and leave at closing.
Opening to closing is the plan, so thank you! That is great news! Also, would you happen to know if they still do the "buy one ticket, get one free" with a coke can deal?

For the Magic Mountain day, I was wondering where everyone was planning to go after morning ert. I'm the kind of person that plans the whole day out the day before, and can't decide whether to go straight to X2 and Tatsu area to beat the crowds, or stay in the back area to hit Riddler and Apocalypse. Suggestions?
I'm planning on X2 and Tatsu after ERT.
Heading out from Mission Viejo at 6:15am tomorrow! Can't wait!

So stoked for Saturday! I can't wait till the Big Bad West Coast Bash email comes out!

Registered myself and two guests for the SFMM day of the event today. I was at WCB 2010 and haven't been to the park since May of that same year, so I can't wait!

Cool! And how does early entry work, exactly? Do they let you through the main gate entrance? Or is there a special entrance we have to go through? Cause I definitely want to take advantage of this.
