  1. You mean Xcelerator was able to run 27 times in one day? Wow!
  2. ^It will instead be a trade-off of Kobe Vs. what would've happened if LeBron made it. Also, all of the "who's better?" talk is far from over....
  3. ^I don't think the line got any longer than 30 minutes. The longest I waited was about 20 on thursday.
  4. ^ I went this past Thursday and waited no more than 20 minutes in the 7 times I've rode. I can't say how long weekend waits have been however, As I tend to avoid weekends in the summer months.
  5. ^Thanks, I just pointed out that you explained a concept that already exists, and, you've given Cedar Fair a prmise to finally theme something!
  6. Xcelerator-I didn't keep track, but non stop between the hour we had from day operations to Haunt back in 2006.
  7. The issue with the pre show is that the two shows take longer than two trains to be loaded. Several options could correct that. Option A: Allow more than one train load in per showing Pro: Doubles capacity per room Con: Tight fit, unable/more difficult for staff to watch props Option B: Slow down dispatch times to accomadate show Pro: Ensures every train would be full Con: Lowers capacity Option C: Install fencing to seperate props/monitors from guests, and design it into the shape of a hallway, creating a queue, then loop the videos. Pro: Evens the dispatch intervals with show time Con: Kills intended experience
  8. Free lockers, lockers for a nominal fee, all day lockers, and one time use lockers. Lockers with keys, and lockers with barcode paper. LOCKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Sound familar??? I'm pretty sure this idea's been done, and not to far away from a Johnny Rockets at that
  10. YOU may love empty queues, but the park sure doesn't. I was there this past Thursda, too. Cranked out 7 rides on Terminator!
  11. ^Sounds like the park better build that 5 billion foot giga coaster before business start complaining about the park being an eye sore and makes to much noise.
  12. Congratulations to the Orlando Magic, who have proven to be the beasts from the east, and making Mo Williams look like the douche he is. No one is happier than me in the wake of the Cavs' defeat. They weren't that good, they struggled with good teams in the regular season and got extremely lucky with two subpar teams in their first two series in the playoffs. I can't emphasize this enough. The Cavaliers weren't that good. All that hype ans felt puppets for nothing.
  13. ^^^I rode Tatsu in 2006 with full switchbacks...which at the time was a 20 minute wait. Needless to say, the line at that point in 2009 is not 20 minutes.
  14. Orlando did win the season series, but Jameer Nelson was pretty much the decider in both games, and with him out, I think it evens the edge.
  15. ^I'm not sure what your tone to that is, but all rides are annually rehabbed. The manufacturer requires after so many cyles to strip, inspect, and replace certain componets on each train. (Goliath and Riddler's both currently have a train in rehab now for example)
  16. ^Despite the fact it can go weeks being a walk-on with about 20 riders per train, may not so much...
  17. ^There's a dumbest things said on TPR, but that only applies to quotes from people who can't tell the hole in their ass from sunshine. I think Mr. Six means that while some people say some really off the wall things about coasters that may very well defy physics, a lot of CE's kinda use this "holier than thou" method of sizing up people who don't know the difference between a friction brake and a skid brake.
  18. They own the land up until the redish/orangish fencing borders the park's property. It's enough room for an out-and-back coaster with room enough to keep a road way.
  19. The area from behind Viper to about behind Deja Vu is pretty hilly, but not as much as the terrain in the park (It can be seen from Viper's lift) With sublte leveling, such a ride could be built, or dare I say the world's first terrain based rocket coaster? (Rita excluded).
  20. MM has to decent B&M's in Batman and Riddler's Revenge, one mediorce in Tatsu, and a dud in Scream. It has no Intamin worth aknowledgement. Knott's has a B&M so tame it wouldn't wake a sleeping baby Jesus riding in row 8. I don't think the So Cal selection is enough to form an opinion on either company. I still don't think that you can really compare them head-to-head. I mean Intamin will make you anything you are willing to pay for, regardless of whether it will work or not. B&M will offer you an expensive but reliable and intimidating looking ride. If you want to say who makes the better hyper coaster, you've got yourself an argument there. However, who's to say that Intamin would make a flyer any different than B&M?, or that a B&M hydraulic launched coaster wouldn't be as intense as Xcelerator? This is best suited as who makes the better ride type. And in that, wht do you consider best? Intamin is a very innovative company, but when they are innovative, they throw reliability out the window. B&M's are all predictably the same, yet they provide thrills, reliability, and a smooth, re-ridable experience. If you want to make the arguement as to which is more intense, Well it depends. B&M's up until around 2001 or 2002 were designed by Werner Stengel, so many B&M's create similar forces to that of Intamin coasters. However, Intamin seems to work more with launches, which create the same force of a lift coaster, but does so at a faster pace, so agaiin its just whatever tickles your fancy. I (obviously) go with B&M, because the engineering and quality that go into each ride they build is a thing of beauty. But everyone's opinion will be different, for different reasons. Reasons that will differ on so many levels that you can't cover in such a general question.
  21. The splash battle could go in Tidal Wave's spot and the Launched ride, depending on the layout (assuming it's a KK/TTD type ride for example) could run along the space behind Viper up to Deja Vu.
