The 2015-16 NBA Season
Bolliger&Mabillard replied to Bolliger&Mabillard's topic in Random, Random, Random
Orlando played well, the Lakers played okay. L.A. lost by 2. I look for L.A. to dominate in game 4. Perhaps a realxing day on Manta will motivate the Lakers in game 4. -
^I'm pretty suce admission would go up before parking does to fund attractions, and leaving your car in a commercial lot doesn't seem like that great of an idea. I'd much rather buy a parking pass and have that peace of mind that my car won't get towed. Paying 200 bucks to get it out the impound suddenly makes that 15 bucks seem like a bargain, doesn't it?

It's cheaper to by a $50 trash can at a one-time flat rate than pay an employee $8 an hour to clean up... Way to resolve that debt Markie Mark! -

^I always thought the park could have benefited from one even after Goliath, as Goliath creates OMFG positive G's, but no OMFG negative G's. Plus, I don't think B&M at the time of Goliath's inception would have built the park a ride as high as what they have now. Such a ride could work very well using the old Metro station in Colossus County Fair for loading (which would cause guests to spend more time on that side of the park as management intends) and the airspace around Superman for an out and back design with the lift facing Cyclone Bay, with a turnaround over the midway by the go-karts, and utilizing the terrain on the "Ninja" hill, with a return trip and main brake somewhere behind Golden Bear theater. Not that I'm hoping for it, I just see this as making the most sense if they did.

I know that it doesn't have to be faster than Ka, but if MM wants to open a rocket or LSM coaster, it has to be more appealing than the two that are 50 miles south of the park. X has proven that a unique riding experience unparalled to nothing else in North America keeps the people coming back. Terminator, after the new car smell wears off, will hold a solid reputation as a classic woodie experience, but I don't think will be as popular three or five years down the road like it is today. When Cedar Point announces an X2/ Bizarro-esque revamp that will include Dragster getting an extra 100ft and going 0-150mph in 0.2 seconds. Backwards.

Greetings fellow coaster trekkers! I was invited to Six Flags Magic Mountain last night to the employee party for Terminator Salvation the ride. Seeing as how I owe it to myself after completing some rigorous finals, I said hells yea! So I hopped on the 110 and started my 48 mile trek north up to Santa Clarita. It was a great party, as Terminator, Déjà vu, and Dive Devil were open (Dive being $1 for charity) I did take a few pictures while driving, and I highly recommend that NO ONE ATTEMPT DOING THAT. It is unsafe, distracts you from the road, and is dangerous. I was in gridlock traffic and did so only when the car was either stopped, or a slow enough speed to quickly stop. I’m not going to bore you all with lengthy dialogue. There isn’t much, as just the Psyclone Bay area was open…Enjoy! What Trip in L.A. doesn’t start with traffic? Going downtown this time of day just stinks! There is a Ritz Carlton being built at L.A. Live Staples Center is ready for the Finals. It’s not like anybody else is using the arena. Taking the 101 is a longer route, but has less traffic…but keep the secret! Going through Hollywood Hey! Look what’s coming up! Great view of the parking lot and the back half of CityWalk. Closer up… Take the truck route…less traffic Almost there Getting even closer Construction closed the park’s exit off the 5… …But it allowed me to get some great shots of the skyline from Tourney Rd. (the locals know where that is) The sign is still visible, but it’s reign of terror over Cyclone Bay is over! The new kid on the block meets the Vu kid one the block Nice pop of negative G’s on this turn And on this one PLEASE!!! No one try to get this hat! Pre Show 1 Trust me, there’s a train blurring through here somewhere… The new look of Cyclone Bay at night Déjà vu at night, It’s been pretty reliable as of late (knocks on wood) Going through the cobra roll And coming out of it Dive Devil for a buck! Can’t beat that with a stick! Great event thrown by the park, and I was honored to be there, and I’m really impressed with how the park has changed since I’ve worked there. Thanks for reading and hope all you guys out there make it out to ride this bitchin’ woodie!

Like when Stuart Scott said on an addition of NBA shootaround that the playoffs should end in the second round and give the title to Cleveland? Or that the Cavaliers were the hottest thing since sliced bread for sweeping two teams that would have had losing records if they weren't in sub par divisions? (Well, the pistons would have had a worse record) Or that Lebron James is King, despite the fact he has had one finals appearance, and has not one a single game therein? Or that Cleveland has a slightly above average team that is streaky at best and for some reason everyone's streak except LJ23's somehow fades awy in May? Despite the Magic knocking out the 1 and 2 seeds in the east, they're still looked at as underdogs, as if beating the Cavs is the biggest upset in the history of recorded sports. Orlando was a phenominal team in the regular season, and the stepped up they're play in the post season. That was something neither the Celtics (Rajon Rondo is the only Celtic to have brought his A game into the playoffs) and the Cavs only really had one playoff contender anyway, so all credit is due to the Magic. They stepped up their play as a team, progressively getting better each round, and they deserve to be where they are now. This is not an upset. This is the better team winning. We are just seeing a whole bunch of sour pusses whining because the favored team didn't win. -
^You are going to make minimum wage, but have the opportunity to work overtime, assuming that they have a decent budget for staffing. The con though is all your free time belongs to work.

How could anyone be surprised that Disney is leading a "best" survey? -
B&M Giga coasters???

I think we'll see B&M build a woodie or an aquatrax before the build a giga coaster... -

^Yea, but it was a conspiracy that David Stern orchestrated to allow a plausible excuse for Lebron to sign with New York.
