The Rumor / Crazy Idea Superthread

With the Apollo's buying of Cedar Fair, one question I can't help but speculate on (trust me, I really did try to hold my composure) but could this be the very loophole CF could use to further deminish the historic Knott's Ghost Town? We all know it's contractual for Cedar Fair to keep it, but with a new owner, the already vauge guidelines become even more vauge. I wonder. -
Here are more examples of Batman that come to recent memory. .Arkham Asylum. The Dark KnightThe Animated SeriesBatman Forever.Adam West Once again, I don't think it's a bad color outright. It's just that "blue" isn't the first color that comes to mind when you think of "Batman". "The Dark Knight", "Bat", all of these things are better represented better with darker colors. The blue they're painting it goes against that. Had it been a darker, Midnight or Navy blue, I could warm up to it better. But as it stands now, I don't like it.

I flat out just don't like it. I think it's nice that it's getting a paintjob and that the park is finally bringing up everything up to a presentable standard, but that shade of blue IMO just doesn't say "Batman". Take the S:UF clones. Yellow rails, red spine, blue supports. That says "Superman" to me. Grey spine with black supports said "Batman" a lot better than this shade of blue does. If say, Goliath was painted blue, it wouldn't be that big of a deal with me. But this? Meh.

The Princess and the Frog 9/10 Great music, nice story, fantastic touch going back to 2D animation was a flawless touch on Disney's part. The fact that my girlfriend was the only person in the theater that wasn't black was hilarious... -
^Nothing yet as oftoday. My friend I talk to that still works there tells me that employees (at least field employees) still haven't heard anything about it. Granted they're the last people in the chain to know something, it's not a topic matter in the park yet. She tells me that half the operation employees don't even know they're adding anything.

I'm fine with it. Never touched the stuff, never will. I just don't like when people use the "Would you want your doctor high while he operates on you?" Approach. If Marijuana became legal TODAY I can all but guarentee there wouldn't be a hike in usage. Making it legally available wouldn't inspire anyone to start doing it that isn't already doing it. It's not like its hard to get your hands on it. Besides, with legalization comes reform and restrictions. Most jobs (competent ones at least) restrict you from comsuming alcohol 8 hours before your next shift. Jobs that would require safety to be a qualification would still drug test. Legalizing it would appease a small demographic of medically inclined patients and stay-at-home couch potatoes. People RIGHT NOW, AT THIS VERY MOMENT are driving city vehicles, public transportation buses, operating amusement rides, bagging your groceries, and cashing anddepositing your checks on some type of drug. Legalizing one more isn't going to make that number and higher tothe point were it would be dangerous....At least no more than it already is.

The 2015-16 NBA Season
Bolliger&Mabillard replied to Bolliger&Mabillard's topic in Random, Random, Random
A little less than two months into the season. Thoughts? -
When I watch a really good Lakers Matchup, I get a whole Lil' Ceasars Pizza to myself and a 6-pack of Heineken (I can only knock out about 3 beers at a time though)

I downloaded Lady Sovereign's album "Public Warning" last night. It's okay... I was expecting a lot more from a British white girl emerging into the hip hop scene. Was expecting someone to break barriers. She sounds more like a gimmick. It's like Def Jam said "Hey look at our white rapper, and its a girl! A British girl!"
