^Not necessarily. Nowhere in the DOSH report does it mention the park was at fault or neglected any preventative maintenence to keep this from happening. I would imagine they'd just require using more reliable cables, if anythig. I wouldn't be surprised at all if this ride opns sooner than later however...

I used to be terrified of horses. Anytime I'd go to parades or whatever, if horses were involved I'd bck up. Eventually I got over this, but now that I drive I'd say my biggest fear now is DWB.

I had to google the name, but I actually think she's cute, so yes I do. Do you like Conan O'Brien?

The 2015-16 NBA Season
Bolliger&Mabillard replied to Bolliger&Mabillard's topic in Random, Random, Random
It's 33 degrees in hell and the mercury is dropping fast. Okay, So Gilbert Arenas deserves to be punished to degees past the highest caliber. If you haven't read any articles of his current weapons possesions charges, you can do so here. Okay, so whether or not anyone wants to say it or admit it, actors, musicians, athletes, models, and celebrities are looked at as "better" than everyone else. Here you give people privilege, money, fame, a solid gold house, and a rocket car-and the only thing that people ask for in return is that you act accordingly. Whether you want to accept it or not, as a professional athlete, you are better than "everybody else". You agree to assume that role when you take money to be the face of a sports franchise. No owner is going to let you play for their team, no commissioner is going to let you play for their league, and no fan is going to back you if you make an ass out of yourself. (well, stupid ones will) You are supposed to be a professional athlete. A PROFESSIONAL athlete. Those who are profesionals in their fields dond go around toting guns to their work. Cops, Drug dealers, and drug dealing rappers are the only people that should have a gun when they clock in for work, and if Gilbert Arenas wants to make a laughing matter out of a serious incident that damaged the image of an already image hurting sport, he deserves to be shown the exit. -
So let me get this straight...the 300 million they couldn't pay their PIERS that bankrupted them in the first place can be resolved by refinancing for 500 million more, despite a gradual declince in attendance and revenue. I'm no genius or super analyst, but someone who gets this please help me out. I don't understand this.

What kind of device are you browsing TPR with?

^I used to use my PSP at school before i bought my laptop. Not having a keyboard on the PSP and not being a touchscreen really makes it's wi-fi capability lackluster (though display and processor is actually quite decent) -
This wasn't a stupid thing, it was actually one of the more thought out things I've heard a GP say... GP walking past Screamin' Swing at Knott's I heard a girl around 15 years old say something funny. she said "What a rip-off. We paid to get in, why would I pay 5 more bucks for something that sucks!" She got a laugh at me.

Six Flags 2010
Bolliger&Mabillard replied to nhman93's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
No I don't think anyone "took it the wrong way". Overanalyzed it maybe, but no one took it the wrong way. To sum it up as best I can, I think that a bankruptcy filing took its toll on all departments, including marketing and PR. I think thats the biggest thing right now. The chain has more important things to worry about than press releases. -
^Comparing innovation and design to flawed capacity is a bit unfair. Ballpark figures of course, but if each train holds 22 passengers, with the ride having two trains, you'd want to keep at least 44 people in each pre-show area at a time to ensure you have one train's amonut of people loading with one group waiting. Sounds like a simple solution to a simple problem, right? Well it's tricky. One thing you really have to look at is te length of the preshow verses loading time. If it takes 10 minutes for one group of people (the same 44 as previously mentioned) then that would average out to 5 minute load intervals per 22 people. So unless the operations yield to leaving a train sitting in a station to accomodate a lengthy preshow, it's just going to have this problem. As it stands now, it's either lowered capacity by sitting trains, or lowered capacity by half empty trains. Sometimes things don't work out the way you plan them, even if your intentions are good. Termiantor was a good attempt at Six Flags presenting their rides in a better way, but it would be naive to think that the system in place is the bet they could do.

Six Flags 2010
Bolliger&Mabillard replied to nhman93's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I also agree that Six Flags isn't lagging. They just aren't doing anything major this year. Other than what Magic Mountain is alleged to get this spring, they've made all their announcements already. I don't see anything coming out of left field this year... -
^^GHOST TOWN. Since November 1997, I don't think Knott's has added anything that can be considered close to theme. Boardwalk looks like "Any Cedar Fair park, USA". Wild Water Wilderness is one pathway. Camp Snoopy is the only area in the park with ample forestry. Outside of GT and CS, the uniforms (in any dept) have no real "theme". Other than Panda Express and Johnny Rockets, CF hasn't added anything but rides. So I think its safe to say that the park doesnt go with the cocept of "theme", seeing as how it has been steering in a different direction since 1998.

2010 Predictions
Bolliger&Mabillard replied to deathbydinn's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
If B&M's were any cheaper, you really wouldn't be buying a "B&M". if you want a Benz bad enough, you'll pay for it. If all you can afford is a Chevy, that's what you'll buy, but you better know a reasonable mechanic. -

^Correct, And I care just as much that there are people even as I type risking their lives for the safety of this country, and firefighters who risk their lives to safe others. I guess it's just the concept of lost life that gets to me. It's not a matter of one death being any more or less important than another, but rather how it affects you on a personal level. Whether they're pure of heart doesn't have to do with the fact that they did something to touch millions of people, so I feel it warranted to feel a little something when they pass. -

^Good idea in theory, but with a floor, the novelty of an inverted train wears off quickly. For that very reason I seriously believe B&M was the first nail in Arrow's coffin. -

^I'm not saying that a stand up would be the best option, but I'd definately say it's a stong no. 2 out f the list (hyper being the first). Though there would be slight continuity issuses with Dragon Khan, if B&M experimented with new element designs, I think it really would rejuvenate the design. -

I feel sympathy for dead celebrities. They dedicate their lives to entertain the world. So if Kobe Bryant were to die, I'd feel more sympathetic to that than someone's grandma in Kalamazoo, because Kobe Bryant has more of an impact on my life than someone's granny in Michigan. -

It was pretty funny. Back in 2007, I was doing the paperwork at Tatsu, when Jordan Farmar came in a VIP group. I was so busy doing the man hours I didn't realize who he was even though I held a 5 minute conversation with him.
