  1. ^I agree with you on two things: 1. It's contradicting to say S:TE sucks and say it's a waste to improve it. I don't care for the ride. Just let it run until it can't. I don't like it, I don't ride it. 2. Scream! is not a bad ride. Scream! isn't a horrible ride. I've just been on WAAAY better floorless coasters. However, I DO feel if people think that the ride sucks, I don't think that they're "complaining" or are "spoiled". If Scream were Dominator or Medusa (SFDK) then no one or at least less people would complain, because then the layout would produce a far more intense ride than Scream! does.
  2. Here's my current... Do YOU really know how it feels to be stressed out?
  3. Had this been someone I know personally, I'd issue an @$$ whoopin', so I don't really think anyone here is overreacting. I remember this past rainy friday I went to Disneyland while walking through the bagcheck I was asked to open MY jacket, despite the fact NO ONE ELSE walking through was asked to do so. That small inconvenience which I hope and am sure was not racially motivated-but it still irked me. And it affected the rest of my day. And I feel for this woman who had to wait in line for a ride to have a good time, just to have her goodies grabbed. I don't think she is pursuing any type of handout. Some alledgedly invaded her personal space, and that's one thing I consider to take seriously. If you're in a club or a party or bar, you know the animal you're taking on and not that it grants someone permission to do it there, but no one goes to a Disney park thinking they're going to be molested. More importantly no one should have to. Disney should go after this guy with guns blazing to assure the public that this is behavior they will not tolerate and will come after you for. And for the record, Kid leashes are stupid. If your kid won't listen or stay put, you don't need to take them out to a park.

  6. But if they're anti-rollbacks, why would (in Medusa's case) take so long to level out? If it were the vertical loop I could see it, but the 0-g is the third element in the ride, and for every B&M I've had the privilege to work at I've seen that B&M springloads their antirollback, so the usually pop back down to their home position on the pre-drop.
  7. I read through your post thouroughly. You are right in the sense that CF has not been at the helm of this park for very long, and though I can't speak for others my skepticism comes from properties prior (like how they've let Knott's fade from what it once was)
  8. ^I'd only be game after G-force and water dummy testing
  9. ^I remember hearing about that as well, it was one of those things that sounded cool talking about for 5 minutes, then everyone forgot about it. So is the story of Decades
  10. And...as an added bonus, if your tweets or hatemail to the park is going unanswered, start sending some to DOSH. I'm sure they'll love to hear what the enthusiats think!
  11. Slow day in the news today. KTLA is reporting about a f*cking chick that lives in the bushes at Glendale College. Big whoop.
  12. I find it even more laughable that as Elissa pointed out Sierra Falls doesn't have a height restriction at all.
  13. I'm going to have to respectfully disagree. While all of your points are valid and I personally agree with, it's not in Cedar Fair's immediate business model to play deep into things like general rehab (Yes, rides get their TLC every off season, but nothing else does) so general upkeep isn't what CF thinks is going to get an increase in turnstile spins. What has me hinting at an invert is simply this: 1. King's Island doesn't have one. 2. The latter half of the previous decade saw many coaster additions to Cedar Fair. A GCI here, a Mack there, a Zamerla this way and a Vekoma that, but the last 10 years of all CF installations ave been dominated by B&M or Intamin. This is a trend I look to continue and for a park the scale of Kings Island I look for them to add an invert has CF has shown throguh previous purchasing that they are more prom to the B&M model than an SLC. (They haven't "bought" any that I'm aware of) So I'm not saying that it'll happen soon. I'm not saying it's going to be the parks next addition. But it will happen.
  14. "Ma'am, if you can find the line we haven't constructed yet, or walk up the stairs we haven't built yet or be checked and dispatched by the operators we haven't hired yet then by all means, knock yourself out"
  15. ^I agree. There's tons of other valid reasons to boycott the park. This one reason seems a bit superficial
  16. ^I smell the likes of a B&M invert in it's near future...
  17. ^Very possible indeed. In fact in most cases, height restrictions are merely suggestive with manufacturers giving a guideline as to what it should be, but the park may or not have a say in what it is; however it leaves the door open for lengthy and frustrating litigation should the park change it and an injury were to happen. Example as follows: [Park X changes reccommend height restriction 0f 54" to 48"] Parent: My kid injured her leg on your ride! Park [to manufacturer]: This kid got hurt on your ride! Manufacturer: How tall was the kid? Pk: 50" tall Mf: Really? We reccomended that you set the height restriction to 54". ...and the litigation and finger-pointing begins.
  18. My iPod touch serves me well. Seems like there's not going to be alot to make me personally go out and buy one, but I'm sure if marketed right people are going to want it regardless.
  19. Hmm. I've been on Road Runner Express which has a more intense layout than Gold Rusher. Maybe seatbelts would help lower the height restriction. So why not add them?
  20. ^^Let me help you out a bit (not being cynical or sarcastic. I'm being informative and helpful) Avoid Knott's during these times: Spring Break Summer Haunt nights Toys For Tots So between: January-April May-June September-Mid November You should run into either non-existent or extremely light crowds.
  21. Hold on tight good sir Xcelerator is fast You might lose your wig Vekoma hang bang Even for the Deja Vus Now where's the asprin?
