  1. ^Yea, but the problenm is I don't think Germans are as sue-happy as Americans are. And to make two different types of restraints for different regions is tedious. I guess the old addage "It only takes one @$$ to F!%k it up for everyone" is true.
  2. Intimidator and i305 Maverick THBS at OT and DK Tatsu Terminator X Scream Silver Bullet
  3. ^One can only hope. He took that park a long way but I hope whoever proceeds him shall take the park to the promised land as Jay would have.
  4. Hopefully by 2012. I'd hate to ride Zombie Xcelerator in the afterlife half painted...
  5. *Complaint's* about work, yes... Have you ever built a soap box racer?
  6. ^They might make him get "thug life" tatted on his chest...
  7. ^I'm pretty sure X is extra from the low capacity...and the issues of loading would easily be resolved if each ride in the flashpass system had a grouper. That way no one would be put into a bullpin that was going to be occupied once the train got back.
  8. All this really stinks. It's giving rational people who are religious a bad name. I'm christian and whole-heartedly support gay marriage, or as I refer to it, "Something that has nothing to do with me". As a Black in this country, there were (and in small doses still are) religious views that shaped how civil laws were drafted. Perhaps if we lived in a society where more people could "respect" others in their life choices, things wouldn't be so bad.
  9. Yes, but the guy who did it was soon after knocked out Have you ever found more than $20 and kept it?
  10. I think I did maybe about 1,000 test rides of Xcelerator
  11. ^^I think all Cedar Fair parks do that. Back when I worked at Knott's in 2006, we had to hold testing for the national anthem...of course Xcelerator was the only ride still testing as the park opened rather than before...
  12. I understand that their new gig as houseband for Jimmy Fallon probably takes up most of their time, but The Roots put out a pretty good album this year. "How I Got Over" was pretty good, but wasn't their best effort. The last true Roots effort I feel was "Game Theory" in 2006. That was the last record it seemed like they gave their all. They've got a collab album with John Legend next month and I'm looking forward to that.
  13. The glasses may not be worn and have to be secured. My honest opinion about the picture...it has to do with the skyline, not the location
  14. Afterburn about two months ago. Really haven't made it out to my local parks lately...
  15. I really think the park needs to revamp its operations training. The reason there are so many employees everywhere is because the burden of training is on an already overwhelmed ride lead. Adding more staff when the workforce starts to dip doesn't stop the bleeding because then thats just more people to train.
  16. ^You just made Ralph Lauler pop in my head...
  17. Smiley Faces-Gnarles Barkley
  18. My guess would be that since the base for it (Superman's Tower) sits in a backstage area that isn't that big. Given it's also next to the employee cafeteria it would cause all kinds of congestion problems since its the only "official" place in the park for employees to eat.
  19. To be honest, If your going to be in Burbank first, Magic Mountain is less of a drive than Knott's is. However Knott's probably will be less crowded, is cheaper, but not as thrilling. I say if you're up for the drive do both...
  20. ^I hope that to be as cocky as he is with the "I won't play for free" mentality that he doesn't suck. No GM in their right mind would pay a player to ride the bench...unless it sells tickets. In which case the Heat won't need him.
  21. A big misconception with magic mountain and space is this. If you look at the park going up X2's lift you get a pretty god panaramic view of the whole park. If I had to give a percentage, only about 40% of the parks airspace is full. The majority of the parks coasters sit on the outer border. There is tons of space for an out-and-back design coaster. One spot I mentioned in the MM thread is the backside of Deja Vu up to the infield of X and Viper. There's all the empty space between Scream and the rest of the park. There is the space between Riddler's and Terminator. And not to mention (in all seriousness) there is still tons of parking lot left to chip into.
  22. I have a feeling that someone in california will buy one...particulary in an area in California that's stricken with a height requirement...
  23. I was curious about this whole Delonte West thing... So I had to see what she looked like Why he found a very unattractive woman with a receeding hairline attractive, I'll never know...
