  1. Also not always the case. Let me give you some numbers of the past 20 years. Since 1990, Six Flags Great Adventure has beat out every Six Flags park in attendance and Magic Mountain have traded off year after year until about 2000 when Magic Mountain rest in at a solid third. However, let's look at the additions each park has gotten. Let's Keep in mind that the order of each park in terms of attendance goes: 1. Gadv, 2. Gam, 3. Because even though Great Adventure and Great America continue to be Magic Mountain year after year, it receives the most in capital improvments. And for a park to receive over 80% of it's coaster collection in a span of two years only to go a decade with nothing spells neglect. This isn't a flame or rant, it's just that if you are going to make a claim, make sure you have grounds for the claim.

  4. Bullet might get to an hour....Avoid GhostRider like the pleague, and take advantage of the mazes as early in the night as possible.
  5. But that's not always the case. Statistically, Great America and Great Adventure beat out Magic Mountain in attendance numbers, However Magi Mountain sees the most in capital imporovements. How can you raise attendance if you don't offer a reason for people to come? Magic Mountain sees all it does because it's in a much more competitive market, and is able to generate money in the off-season with renting out the park in times where every other park is three feet under snow. Great Adventure serves the most densly populated area in the United States, and also has its share of competition. America just gets neglected because it's not a cash cow like the top two. So it just stays open and is "there'.
  6. ..."We don't have enough road to get this manhole up to 88!" so a so a sewer rat told them, "Roads? Where you're going you don't need....
  7. So I am working on a park now. The working title of it right now is "Grand Adventures", thought that might change once I put in new lands and theming. It's relatively small for now, with just an entrance corridor and one themed area, but I plan on expansion of a new themed area today before I got to work. Here are some screenshots. Okay So here is the station for Patriot, the centerpiece for the Liberty Square section of Grand Adventures and the park's first rollercoaster. A Young Liberty Square, prior to some foilage and last-minute details Aerial shot of Liberty Square Setup for The Autrium, the corridor connecting the main entrance to Liberty Square The Autrium starting to take shape, along with Casa De Grande, the Main information building of the park This is The Grand House, central shops and merchandise can be found here Next to the Grand House is The Hungryman's Barracks, a central eatery located to serve Liberty Square, The Enchanted Forest(Under construction) and Dusty Trails (under construction) And that's what I've prepared to share for now. I am currently working on Enchanted Forest and Dusty Trails. I will be albe to post pictures later. Thank you for looking!
  8. I will try to redo what I'm working on...
  9. ^If you like, it could be a dual coaster where it runs both sides and then one side goes limp.
  10. Yes. I actually enjoy it plain. Do you exercise regularly?
  11. Here We Go Again-Portrait
  12. Dick Clark's Rockin' Coaster....has a nice ring to to I must admit
  13. ^^If you go into Haunt thinking "they're not enough monsters, I hope it picks up", keep hoping. As the month goes on they'll lose monsters and the ones that remain a lot of them lose interest. I think the problem with Haunt is that the park has been relying so much on the title of being "The best event in the genre" that they haven't felt the need to compete. As of right now it's still leaps and bounds better than Fright Fest but in a short time I think Horror Nights has surpassed Knott's in the event.
  14. Wake Up Everybody-John Legend & The Roots
  15. according to The Signal, Magic Mountain laid off 10 full-time employees. I know all the parks got hit pretty hard, but I look at this as a direct result of replacing all those park presidents.
  16. Okay so I have two reviews for some albums I picked up this past tuesday. The First is Wake UP!, a collabrative effort from John Legend and The Roots. It takes current economic and civil distresses and blends them into soulful lyrics over even more soulful beats. It's the best I've heard from John Legend since his freshman album Get Lifted in 2004. The Roots provide a very interesting sound displaying their wide range of instrumental ability and take this albums sound back 40 years to deliver a sound that even in 2010 can still envoke a generation to do exactly what the title suggest. Downfalls to the album are minimal, but the most notable would be the huge absence of Roots' frontrunner Blackthought. He lends vocals on two of the albums twelve tracks. As the Lyricist of The Roots, you'd expect more of him, especially since other rappers appear (Common and CL Smooth). Still, it's a strong effort worth a listen, and if you can hurry to Best Buy this week, worth the ten bucks. 9/10 Next, I had a listen to Hands All Over, the third studio set by Maroon 5. Although I was not looking forward to this album because I thought their last attempt, It Won't Be Soon Before Long in 2007 was a bit gimmicky only offering a handful of radio-friendly singles, Hands redeems the group. Each song blends beautifully into the next without ringing of monotuned instruments and repetitive noises. It you liked Songs About Jane, you'll love this hot album. 9/10
  17. ^To be fair when the audio did work the ride was so thunderous it was hard to hear.
  18. ^^You would think that as popular as she is, Wonder Woman would have had something themed after her by now. I'd say the popularity of DC characters goes 1.Batman, 2.Superman, 3.Wonder Woman. She's pretty indentifiable by a wide audience and would appeal to the tween-teen female demographic they claim to sorely be lacking. Oh well, I guess the coaster-equal rights battle still has a way to go...
  19. I I will agree with what was previously mentioned about Silver Bullet with it having a really good ending, but I feel it's only by default. I rode Top Gun at CGA earlier this month, and that, compared to Silver Bullet just made me think..."What the f@$# happened to B&M?" Silver Bullet has no force going through the whole course save for the helix, and Batman & Top Gun have grey-out forces throughout. End Rant
  20. I wonder how abouts the marketing department will handle this. X had alot of buzz behind it before the overhaul and was arguably the parks most popular coaster going into 2007. So taking a ride that was on the bottom of the totum pole in terms of popularity and seeing if it could get to the top again is going to take alot of work. Engineering and remodeling can only do so much, so I'm anxious to see how this remodel will be introduced to the average park-goer.
  21. I'm Beamin'-Lupe Fiasco
  22. ^With that said, I'm hoping the idea of launching backwards is enticing enough to bring back some of the rides old novelty. But I guess only time will tell if it does. As for the statue...Pretty funny how the one for the Super Store in front of Ninja looks better than the one mounted on the tower... I say they just take the one from the Loney Tunes Super Store and mount that one on the tower
