  1. The clash of modern and old buildings in Europe is just amazing! Not like the US where they tear out the old and build new junk. And European McDonalds actually SELL FOOD! Must of been yummy. And that is one tall building! Can't wait for your next trip report
  2. Let me just start off by saying how much I love Six Flags St. Louis! It is my favorite SF park that I have been to, and this being my fourth visit, it still never gets old! It has a great selection of roller coasters (near perfect in my opinion) and definitely a great atmosphere. There are many places around the park where you can't hear one single ride or screams, which is very relaxing when you want to take a breather. Oh! One thing that really bugged me was how the staff didn't fill up all the seats on the trains and were sending out empty rows. Now the lines weren't long (15 minutes and less) they still could have filled up a couple of the rows... And here are my ride reviews! Evel Knievel - Probably my new favorite GCI! I rode it in 2008 towards the middle, and it wasn't all too great, but I sat in the back this time and WOW. The ride never stops or loses speed, many hops and turns and all the shenanigans. Just a really compact awesome ride. Mr. Freeze - After being closed on my 2001 and 2006 visits, I finally rode it in 2008 and thought it was great, top 10 worthy! This time around, I sat in the front and was a little bit of a let down. I'm glad the shoulder restraints are gone, but my favorite part was the extra boost you get when going up the straight spike. The Boss - Just a reminder, this ride is only good in the front. Every other seat will beat the crap out of ya and just not be worth riding again. The front is very pleasant, lots of laterals and some pops of airtime. River King Mine Train - The one thing that pissed me off was that you needed lo.ckers for this ride. I mean, come on, it's a family ride! Whizzer at SFGAm doesn't have lockers, But the ride, I liked it before in 2008, but this time, it was jerky and fast. Not terrible, but still okay. Ninja - Was a walk on all day. Sit in the 2nd to last row if you want a smooth, headchopping, awesome ride. Time for some pictures?! (And sorry for the lack of pictures of everything, Batman and Tony Hawk I skipped riding, so no pictures of those coasters. And it was 98 degrees, and I didn't feel like whipping out my camera to take pictures) I was greeted by the Papa John's sponsored Ferris Wheel soon after walking into the park. Evel Knievel is definitely one of totally awesome coasters here! The ride takes itself around and around in a very fast paced layout. It's still smooth after 2 years of operation! Steep drop = lots of airtime in the back! These are the little tiny racing log flumes. They are actually one of my favorites... The ferris wheel probably gives you lots of views of the park, but we weren't in the mood to ride it. Welcome to Mr. Freeze - The "coolest" coaster on the planet! That's the top hat, this ride is also pretty compact! Launch, top hat, over bank, spike, and then backwards! The ride is very forceful and happens in a flash. I'd just keep in mind that this coaster has lap bars Even when it was 98 degrees out, the rapids crew really kept the line down to a 5 minute wait! Last picture of the wheel. It actually looks really good, and is situated at a nice place around the park. Mr. Freeze is situated on an island. Ripley's Believe It or Not! I actually like The Boss, but this is my only picture, so it doesn't do any justice... And remember to sit in the front! The drop tower (Superman TOP) is really popular at Six Flags St. Louis! Guessing because it is still new-ish. (Relocated from Astroworld..) So I skipped it on this visit and my other 2 visits. Here's a crappy picture of the Screaming Eagle. I've already had the credit, so I didn't feel like waiting 30 minutes for it. It's also one of the rides you don't feel like reriding for being so boring. One picture of Ninja. It's a walk on most of they day, so might as well ride it Bye bye Six Flags!
  3. I'm coming here tomorrow But this place definitely looks top notch. Really excited for Powder Keg, and I'll make sure we all do the cave tour. Thanks for posting the report! (And it does suck seeing Celebration City just standing there closed... )
  4. Awww, I really liked that part of the park. I actually sat down on the benches in that gardened area for a breather. But that area will make an amazing Camp Snoopy.
  5. I'm not sure about Grona Lund or Tivoli, but Liseberg has amazing operations. I went on a Saturday last year and still got on everything I wanted including rerides. So you should be fine at that park
  6. It sucks that Little Titans has a height restriction, but that didn't bother me. It was an amazing weekend and nothing could have brought it down! Cyclops has an amazing drop, reminds me a lot of Cornball Express. I just wish you got a picture of the wave pool
  7. That's really scary. Considering I was going to come here next week, but what stopped me were the prices for the attractions.
  8. I think more people should move their booties to Timber Falls to ride Hellcat! The airtime and laterals are crazy! But anyways, awesome report, can't wait for Mount Olympus
  9. My only criticism is that there aren't any trees. All the attractions look really close together, and because you aren't playing with money, putting in trees shouldn't be a problem!
  10. My only criticism is that there aren't any trees. All the attractions look really close together, and because you aren't playing with money, putting in trees shouldn't be a problem!
  11. 1. Great Bear 2. Dueling Dragons: Ice 2. Dueling Dragons: Fire 3. Alpengeist 4. Montu 5. Batman clones.... (I could care less about Raptor)
  12. I really think Hellcat is a very under appreciated coaster! I would HATE for it to be torn down because of Mount Olympus, but stuff happens. Anyways, it was definitely an awesome weekend! Fun, woodie filled weekend! Can't wait for the next update...
  13. Let's hope the park plans to put in Chang, and move it to another park
  14. So on Sunday July 25th and Monday July 26th, I was at the Dells with Griffin (GriffyTiffy), Jojo (Jojo19799), and Jon (Deathbydinn). Let me just say that this is probably the most fun I had in a weekend this year! It involved so many moments and playing around, it was just great! But let's get to the reviewing and pictures! Hellcat - Can I just claim this coaster as the "mega-lites" of woodies? It's very fast paced, quick turns, lots of airtime, and did not slow down one bit until the brake run! I just hope this park doesn't close down because Mount Olympus seems to be taking away a lot of their crowds. Hades- Definitely the best coaster of this weekend right ahead of Hellcat! Rode in the front both times (at night!) and I was just speechless! The coaster didn't have much airtime (or any that I noticed) but it was just that amazing! The drop into the tunnel was great! There were lots of goodies and treats in the tunnel before being blasted out for a quick relief before being sent back in there! But I would say my favorite part of the ride was the outward banked turn right before you shoot out of the tunnel for the 2nd time. The rest of the ride is great too, but just go ride it yourself! Zeus - Out and back woodie. Does nothing. Cyclops - I wasn't able to do the rear, so I picked the 4th to back. Roughy rough and preferred the front! The dive into the ravine was nothing special (unless it's totally kick ass in the back!) But otherwise, perfect for Mount Olympus! Pegasus - The "crappy" version of Hellcat. It reminded me a lot of Hellcat, but it was slow in parts, and not much airtime. OPA! - Worse than Ragin' Cajun. You're better off falling down the stairs in a rotational chair (You'll probably get more speed doing that too!) Picture time! Here is Hellcat! I'm not sure how tall it is, but don't doubt it! The coaster circles around the park 2 times, many hills and turns! And yes, it's a hybrid. "Little" cart means it won't be dragging along the track! You can see Hellcat from any point at Timber Falls! (Obviously) Not a steep drop, but definitely picks up speed quickly! As I said earlier, the park was dead. As soon as a few people sat on the train, they would send it out. 1 hill, 2 hill, big hill, small hill. The ride has many sexy curves! The train goes flying right through them! One of the many signs posted around the park. Outdated, but still great! It has airtime, trust me. The bumper boats (right under two of Hellcat's turns) They go slow and squirt water! One of the best log flumes around! And you do get wet! Fantastic layout with lots of theming as well. SPLOOSH!!! The park does have a Skyscraper! Which I rode, best 11 dollars I ever spent. I think it's around 160 feet tall, definitely do it when your in the Dells! Five minutes down the road is Mount Olympus, Club TPR discounts are so worth it! I see three woodies. They actually overlap each other! This is Zeus. It's pretty bland, but does have a nice double drop. Hades is such a great ride! But I bet it'll beat you up in the back. This would be the up charge attraction called Apollo's Swing! Mount Olympus doesn't have any flat ride that isn't indoors that comes FREE with your admission! OPA sucks. Hades is tall, fast, hilly, but does lack airtime! (Which doesn't bother me!) It's a hybrid too! But don't ask me how it related to other TGG coasters. (Only one I have ridden) Believe it or not, it got stuck where it is now last year! Hades shooting out of the tunnel. Last picture of the trip! Zeus is lame, you're better off re-riding Hades instead!
  15. Okay, so I am on my mini Wisconsin Dells trip, and today (July 24th) I went to Noah's Ark and had an amazing time! The water slide collection is fantastic! Lots of family rafts, countless tube slides, 2 wave pools, and 2 lazy rivers. The only thing that this park lacks are high speed body slides (Only the Scorpion's Tail and the other speed slide are the only ones here...) As I don't know what to say now, let's get onto the pictures! Here are some of the tube slides offered in the park. Although they don't do much, they did seem to have the shortest waits! This is Dark Voyage, the totally enclosed family raft. It didn't do much either, but the layout was pretty mysterious! Okay, on the far right is Time Warp, which I didn't have a chance to ride... The line exceeded over an hour. On the left are the Bermuda Triangle slides. MY OH MY! I've never had more of an out of control feeling on anything like that before! I recommend riding them whenever you get a visit! Time Warp did look awesome, but the line was just too long to be worth it. It does have a steep drop into the toilet bowl though I do apologize if trees are in the way of my photos. Many of the slides are pretty well hidden or too hard to make photos of. But this fine mess is the world's longest Water Coaster! Black Anaconda! It is probably the most intense things I've ridden in a very long time. If it was an actual coaster, definitely would be in my Top 10! Very out of control and many, many hills! I waited more than 45 minutes for it, but for sure worth it! I know you guys are only reading this because of Scorpion's Tail! It is America's only looping water slide. I did not get a chance to ride it because the line was over 2 hours, but boy it does look intense! It's a little hard to see, but at the bottom of the first drop is an escape hatch, where if people don't make it high enough over the loop, they'll ROLL BACK. There is also an escape hatch at the top of the loop, in case you get stuck at the top! Oh yeah, you need to be at least 90 pounds to ride. Can you believe that this family raft is trimmed at the top?! Believe it. There are jets after the first drop that slow you down before you experience much airtime! Final picture! I just want to say thanks to Noah's Ark for keeping some of the older slides! There are new ones (Which seem to have HUGE waits) and the old ones (which were walk ons on a Saturday.) Although, it is America's largest water park, and walking from on side of the park to the other will hurt your feet!
  16. Well, you HAVE to rent lockers at Demon, Viper, Raging Bull, American Eagle, Iron Wolf, Vertical Velocity, Batman: The Ride, The Dark Knight, and Superman Ultimate Flight. The only roller coasters where you don't need lockers are Little Dipper, Spacely's, Ragin Cajun, and Whizzer. But the flat rides do have bins.
  17. Well, Whizzer use to run 5 trains. They took one off and named it the "official" parts donor for the other 4 trains. (I think it was train #3, but doesn't matter...) But you only see them running 3 of the trains.
  18. Why can't they run both sides? Is it because they can't launch both sides at once....? (Sorry if that has been talked about a million times..) They could launch one side at time, unless that takes up too much power too.
  19. So I haven't updated you guys on Tikita for awhile, so here is what I have done so far. (I know, I work very slow..) I didn't want to make the basic B&M layout (Large loop, interlocking corkscrews, etc...) so I tried building a floorless with my own twist. That's why the layout is a little funky (Not to mention compact...) so supporting takes me a long time. Let me know what you think!
  20. Even though this parks has 3 rides (from what I saw...) it should still be worth visiting for those monkeys! Great report, (some pretty funny captions too!) Thanks for posting!
  21. Would Rattler make a good steel coaster? On the other hand, Texas Giant was indeed better than Mean Streak. Lots of hills and a cruising layout. This re-profile looks SICK!
  22. In my opinion, Six Flags America doesn't scream for another major addition. Sure it would please all the thrill seekers, but for the amount of people that come to the park, what they got seems enough. I tried following along with all the posts in this thread, but it isn't easy. Am I the only one who thinks a Tony Hawk addition would be better than a Mega-Coaster?
  23. Last year in July, I stood in line for this ride for about 35 minutes, and then it broke down. I waited about 10 more minutes before the ride operators said everyone needs to exit the line (Even gave us exit passes...) Sucks I didn't get to ride...
  24. Hmmmm, my favorite launching coaster would be Volcano at Kings Dominion. I guess it's because you are in an inverted position, so it's more unique. And being launched with your feet dangling is awesome! (I also love Vertical Velocity's launch at SFGAm.)
  25. I hope you know that we already know it's from 2002
