  1. It's the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge update! *From IntimidaTOUR!*
  2. Wow, great work! Can you explain how the clues pointed to that link though? Well, Busch Gardens Europe has the Germany section (those German people you posted earlier) and the time they went there this year was on the IntimidaTOUR trip! There's also a Tanger Outlet by the Williamsburg.
  3. Another find! TPR Stopped at Busch Gardens Europe on the IndimidaTOUR trip, and looky here! On there way to BGE, they had a travel day! Edit: Just noticed that clue, but it still ties in with Busch Gardens Europe
  4. Dead end in the Oktoberfest thread
  5. Kentucky Kingdom posted a very interesting video showing park attendance when Ed Hart was the manager between 1990-1998, then showing Six Flags operating the parks between 1998-2009. Honestly, Kentucky Kingdom seems to be throwing Six Flags under the bus, but I don't see why not! Hopefully, Ed Hart can once again make attendance spike back up like he did in the 90's. Here's the video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MEpeyqjV1Y I love how the speaker says "Mile High Falls"
  6. This could be read as a silly question, but is Terminator/Apocalypse still seen as a major draw to the park? Unless it was running one train, I find it pretty amazing that a crowd that size would wait around half hour when rides like Batman and Scream and Goliath had very minimal waits. But hey, I don' t know much! Jerry "Haven't been to SFMM since 2002" Koala
  7. And I've been wasting my time looking for links in the Park Index... I thought ernierocker was implying that it was still somewhere on the site, just not on the forum section. Maybe another time!
  8. Taco Bell and KFC both use Pepsi products?
  9. We were actually making plans to come here next time our family heads to Poland. It's in Germany, but right by the border and not too far away. There was even a special on it on one of those cheesy Travel Channel shows about Mega-Structures. The park itself isn't a theme park, it's all a water park with a rain-forest trail and a fake sand beach. Me, I'm excited! But the water park itself is nothing special. There's only one major slide tower complex....
  10. I know what the general public knows, I use to be one! Out of anyone I went to Six Flags Great America with this year, when it's family or friends, no one knew who built what rides. I had to solely tell them who built what. Heck! I didn't even know Raging Bull or Batman or Superman were built by B&M until about 2 years ago! The track design never came across to my head that the same people built the rides. I didn't even KNOW that different companies build different rides. I don't think when people in the Louisville area will see the B&M and go "OMG OMG!! It's the box track like Chang!!! This is going to be *amazing!!*" Just saying
  11. Well, Griffon even has walk on lines! I will admit, Griffon was pretty amazing too, but I doubt the line will get long on those non-busy days just like Big Bad Wolf did. I'm sure in 20-30 years or whenever Busch Gardens Europe announces that Griffon will be leaving, the line will become longer and there will be a public outcry because of it. But, I did like the ride, especially compared to other suspended coasters.
  12. I went from Chicago to Busch Gardens Europe in 2009. Big Bad Wolf itself was TOTALLY worth it! I have never seen such intense swaying on a suspended coaster, and the layout was truly unique! The speed past the buildings was very intense and there was no slowing down or chugging of the chain until the 2nd lift hill and the ending brakes. And the day I was there, the line got up to 2 hours with 3 train operations while everything else was a walk on. Yeah, I do think it was amazing, and so did everyone else!
  13. I could not agree with you more on Michigan's Adventure. They have a lot of room or expansion to put a Mega-Lite. When I visited the park in September of 2009, I could say it was crowded with 10 minute lines for everything (even with the water park open) Yeah, I know the park is very water park driven, and their 2010 addition should be helpful, but the ride side is lacking a bit. When the water park was closing towards the end of the day, the ride side was packed until closing... Honestly, even if Michigan's Adventure doesn't have a BIG steel monster, Shivering Timbers is their wooden monster. That ride is great and really put them on the map, and I do think a Mega-Lite could do the same. Same goes with Kentucky Kingdom.
  14. Merry Christmas (And Happy Holidays!!!) To everyone on the forums!!!
  15. -Visiting all the theme parks I visited this year -Got 40 new credits (Goal was 25) -Having a kick awesome time at parks with all my TPR Friends
  16. Curious as to why they would do this? I'm sure the other Six Flags will keep the Looney Tunes as they've been there forever (still a possibility!!) but does the Great Escape not like being associated with Six Flags or something? (Why don't they use Six Flags Great Escape?)
  17. My most unique breakdown was on Ragin Cajun' at Six Flags Great America, we got stuck on the hairpin turns and it was pretty cool. We were stuck for a good 20 minutes, they probably didn't want to evacuate us because you'd have to crawl through a vertical ladder to get out. The even weirder part was when the ride started up again, we were going about 1 mph through the rest of the turns. I did take some sweet photos though, here's one of them... Can you find 7 roller coasters in this photo?!
  18. It 2004, when I was 9, I waited about 4 and 1/2 hours for Top Thrill Dragster. Personally, I thought it was amazing and totally worth the wait! But, I don't think I would wait that long for it again. Last year, I waited about an hour, so I'm a little mad I wasted so much time, but don't regret it! After all, I did ride it with the original trains!
  19. 10. Aqua - Around The World 9. Cher - Strong Enough 8. Cher - If I Could Turn Back Time 7. Lady Gaga - Telephone 6. ABBA - Lay All Your Love On Me 5. Lil' Kim - How Many Licks 4. Cher - Alive Again 3. Jeniffer Lopez - Ain't It Funny 2. Aqua - Live Fast Die You 1. Cher - Believe Yeah, I listen to a lot of Cher.
  20. Here's my full list of complaints from most parks I've visited this year.... SF Great America, Silver Dollar City, SF St. Louis - None! Keep doing what they've been doing forever! Worlds of Fun - As much as I did enjoy Patriot and Timberwolf, there wasn't much at the park to do... Do they even have any shows!?? Prowler was a huge letdown (Especially when it was the best new major attraction of 2009, hello!!! Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket, Manta!!) There isn't much detail in the park, but I love how Panda Express was next to Spinning Dragons. Adventureland - Like above, I did have fun, but some disappointment. The park does has some awesome rides that now many others have, the mini Frisbee and the Paratrooper, but they didn't have too many up to date rides, not even a new-ish coaster. Sure, one could love the old amusement park feel, but when that's all you got, I found the park a little bland. Indiana Beach - Lost Coaster was down most of the season (but not when TPR was there!) and it was probably the coaster I was looking forward too the most at the park.Yeah, I had loads of fun at the park, and wouldn't mind coming back (to any of these parks for that matter) Mount Olympus - The fastest growing Monopoly in the amusement industry. They're just taking over Wisconsin Dells!!! Horrible operations, but I sure did love Hades. Holiday World - This was actually the first time I ever saw a park close a line up, on purpose, just so everyone would be cleared by the time the park closed. They closed of Voyage a whole 45 minutes before the park closing. Now, I wouldn't have found this a problem if I have been warned of this, and could have gotten another ride on Voyage. Not sure if they usually close of the Thanksgiving section of the park first, since it's in the back of the park. But all in all, every park I went to, I had way more *FUN!!!* than I did being disappointed!
  21. The removal of Great America Scream Machine.... Didn't get to ride it on my visit to SF Great Adventure last year, but thought I would get to ride it another time. Turns out not. Now Viper is the last standing (major) Arrow Looper out there.
  22. Bad song, but I like the clips. I'm surprised Cedar Point had the fountain shots on Maverick running? They weren't running all 3 times I went to Cedar Point last year, but at least they had them running when you shot the video. Nice work.
  23. A floorless might not, but keep in mind everything else they're doing. Opening the rapids, dueling wooden coasters, and the Mile High Falls. Not to mention, lots of re theming (at least stripping it down) and fixing up the whole park. If Kentucky Kingdom looks anything like Magic Springs, it would be one b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l park!
  24. I wasn't talking about the whole Cedar Fair chain, I was only thinking about Cedar Point. Personally, I only remember the lockers by MF, TTD, and Disaster Transport/Wicked Twister. Now I'm not bashing Six Flags, as I have never rented a locker nor have they ever asked me too, but comparing SF Great America to Cedar Point. You can see which l.ocker policy people prefer. I even think lockers are MORE expensive at Cedar Point than SFGAm.... Like I said, I don't care about the lockers because they never asked me to use them. But from all the complaints at the park, and on the FB Fan-Page (Annoying, right?) I'm guessing that's why SF Great America is becoming a little easy on the policy. Well, I've been on those roller coasters, but I'm not sure how that works out then. I was only referring to the roller coasters at Cedar Point that have different exit platforms...
  25. Cedar Point had to put lockers by Millennium Force and Top Thrill Dragster because they have different entrance and exit platforms. As for Six Flags coasters, most of them enter and exit through the same station. People didn't like how you could leave your stuff in the station and pick it up as you leave.
