  1. The last shot you posted of the Dive Machine looks amazing
  2. I agree, either get ride of your timeline idea as a whole, or build something new. The "knot-lace" coaster looks great, but definitely not 1960's, 70's, or 80's.
  3. I gotta admit, when I first saw this photo, it looked like the park suffered from flood damages recently.
  4. I wanna say that Raptor's lift is pretty steep as well. Judging from other wing riders, it does seem typical of them to have steeper lift hills. And I seriously can't wait to ride this thing in May, it's just been so long since a new (major) roller coaster has been added to the park. Source: Click
  5. They actually do have a nice kids area (along with a pretty big playground) and while they might not have any kiddie coasters, they have a nice selection of family coasters and rides. Thankfully though, I got the kiddie credit back in 2001! I didn't realize it was gone until I visited the park last year.
  6. This is fantastic news! I love TMNT, at least when I was little, and the ride looks totally fun! Should be great.
  7. The trip is very doable! It actually sounds like a really fun trip. As I've been to every park that you plan on heading to, I could give you some hints at all the parks. At Holiday World, if you do start with the water park, I'd only hit the two important slides (Mammoth and Wildebeast) as they will most likely have an hour+ line, and they are very unique. All the other slides are pretty generic, and if the park is busy, you'd want to try to ride the roller coasters before the day ends. I'm not sure if Raven is getting a 2nd train this year, but when I visited in 2010, the Raven only had one train. Six Flags St. Louis is such a beautiful Six Flags park, one of my favorites in the whole chain. I would assume you wouldn't need a flash pass. I've been to SFSTL many times during the summer for the past couple years, (2001, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011) and it seems that every time I visit, the park isn't as busy as you would expect. The park crowds are spread around nicely, and Screaming Eagle usually had the longest line during my visits (30 minutes, if even that). Worlds of Fun.... I'm not sure what to say other than that it is really boring. On my visit, the park was EMPTY. Every ride was a walk on, every coaster was running one train (Except Spinning Dragons) and it was just quiet. I got to ride everything, but the park was really, meh. If there is any way you could visit Silver Dollar City instead of Worlds of Fun, you'd have a much better time. The rides are much better, the atmosphere is a lot more enjoyable, and Silver Dollar City has lots of trees that offer trade, because most of Worlds of Fun is out in the sun (true rhyme). As for your last park, Six Flags Great America, I don't think you should spend two days at the park with the flash pass. Saturday would be must more crowded, and that would be the day you'd want to get the flash pass. What I would do is come on that Friday, and ride the roller coasters that aren't on the Flash Pass. (American Eagle, Rajun Cajun, Little Dipper, Spaceley's, and X-Flight if it isn't on the Flash Pass) and then on Saturday, get the Flash Pass and get all the other missing credits and big rides that are also on the Flash Pass. The only thing I would worry about if it would rain, would be launching roller coasters. As those tend to be more cared for after a rain shower, Vertical Velocity will be tough, so I'd that right away when you have the chance. Mr. Freeze's launch is indoors, so that won't be a problem. And if you choose to do Silver Dollar City, Powder Keg will be a tough ride to open after it rains. Hope I helped a bit! Good luck with your trip, and have fun
  8. I'd also think it would be nice to give credit to whoever got these photos at No Coaster Con... http://sfgamworld.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=11754
  9. I also notice that the queue for American Eagle is shifted, and then Dare Devil Dive was rotated. I really hope the area looks really nice, and the Xtreme Passes seem pretty interesting as well.
  10. I was watching them for a few minutes earlier in the day, and there were over 20 workers walking around. Not sure what they were doing, but I doubt the snow will delay them. This is Chicago, after all!
  11. I've been upside down 1056 times... Average Speed is 45.61 mph... Distance Climbed is 21.04 miles... Distance Dropped is 17.77 miles... Distance Traveled is 601.93 miles... That's between 2008 to present because that's when I began tracking coasters.
  12. I originally had it without the straight section, as I prefer it like that too, but then the 2nd turnaround would overlap on the lift hill... So I had to add in that extra segment. Show Your Teeth is from a Lady Gaga song, called "Teeth" (Show Me Your Teeth)
  13. Preview of the new Schwarzkopf looper I build called "Show Your Teeth" SCR26.BMP
  14. I'm going to say 5 duckies! That's all I could find, and I don't want to add more random guesses just in case I'm right!
  15. Looks great! I love the building and queue! Can't wait to see more
  16. This ride is huge! Takes up a huge distance. Does anyone know if it's a mile long? The ride looks so beautiful on the rim of the park.
  17. Those splash are going to be insane! Love the layout of the ride
  18. Thanks to the warm weather Chicago has been getting, (high today was 54...) So I guess the crew was really kicking it today!
  19. The new layout you did for the wooden coaster is great! I do like the extra airtime hills through the ride.
  20. Off of the North East trip, I found that Batman at Six Flags Great Adventure had a super roar to it... Loudest Batman clone around!
  21. What a great trip report to read! Sounds like you guys had a fun time despite the moderate crowds. I won't be taking the Italy trip this year, but I wish I was! And can I also add that Italians are crazy for waiting in a line like this for a water ride?!
  22. Track has finally moved to the construction site! (Right hand, middle)
  23. I counted 3 duckies as well! And it's great you're back, Big Mike! It was great meeting you at Six Flags Great Adventure last year during the North East trip! I went to Liseberg in July of 2009, and it still remains my favorite park. Lisebergbanan, Balder, and Kanonen are 3 fantastic coasters. Great to see your PTR's again.
  24. Awesome park so far, but I don't get why the first airtime hill is shorter than the 2nd airtime hill on the woodie? My only criticism!
