  1. I found that plain old disturbing. Twisted Sister on Wicked Twister still gets my vote and Chuck Norris on a Floorless is the runner up.
  2. Height requirements are made by the park, however, the final decision for the requirement is influenced by the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) written by the Ride Manufacturer. All these parks only set the requirements based on what the companies recommend.
  3. AT SFMM, we walked right onto Goliath, Superman and Riddler's Revenge. The queue for Tatsu seemed like forever as it stretched farther than Roaring Rapids. In the end, it was only a 30 minute wait for a great ride! X2 was nearly a 2 1/2 hour wait but it was worth it!
  4. I've been at Legoland, California pretty much all summer every single day and for the past 9 1/2 months..........
  5. I am a ride-operator at Legoland, California.
  6. Is there any possibility that the on-ride music for X2 including all the sound effects can be found somewhere on an MP3 file? If anyone knows that would be great.
  7. I went to SFMM yesterday and arrived to the park around 11:30 AM. We were able to hit every coaster including X2 and Tatsu. We were able to ride Tatsu twice and got in line for X2 around 8:30 PM. We got off the ride around 10:45 PM. I'd say it's not likely to hit KBF and SFMM in one day. Besides, X2 will be the greatest experience of your life.
  8. Speaking of untucked shirts and cell phones in the park, LLC employees would get fired on the spot if a supervisor were to see one of us texting even off the clock or walking around with an untucked shirt. It's pretty bad when it comes to some of the retail workers.
  9. The only places you will find a theme park that is actually open during the Winter is in Orlando, Florida or in Southern California. San Diego is home to Legoland, CA, which happens to be where I work. There's also SeaWorld San Diego and Belmont Park. If You go north to Los Angeles, SFMM, Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm are very close to each other. Except for Six Flags, most parks are usually open everyday. LLC is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the offseason. January is definetely the best time to go to any park in SoCal.
  10. Hey everyone. I'm headed out to SFMM next Wednesday and I'll be there from opening to close. What should I expect when I go up there? How big will the crowds be and how long will I wait for X2 and Tatsu. From previous visits, I've waited less than 25 minutes for Batman, Riddler, Superman, Viper and some of the older rides despite going on a Saturday in August. I'm planning on buying a Flash Pass and using it for Goliath and Tatsu. Is it worth it on a Wednesday? Let me know what you think.
  11. I was forced to ride Boomerang at KBF 5 times last Tuesday..........
  12. Oh yeah and by the way, there is such a thing called a Ride Safety Lockout System where he could've simply asked a ride operator to retrieve the hat or whatever he lost even if it took a few minutes delay. I'm thinking these kids tried to hop the fence in order to possibly cut in line. Any takers????
  13. This kid was completely at fault. Six Flags is not the one to blame for this incident because signs were clearly posted around the ride envelope.
  14. Once you ride Insanity: The Ride, Starflyers look like carnival-sized Yo-Yo's.
  15. They probably have the best midway rides to make up for the fact we only have 2 major theme parks in San Diego. Those would be SeaWorld San Diego and Legoland, California. Both parks have some of the smallest rides I've ever seen.
  16. I rode Speed: The Ride at the Sahara Casino in Las Vegas about 23 times in less than 2 hours. Rode Xcelerator at Knott's Berry Farm about 6 times wihtout having to get off. Rode Ghostrider 9 times in less than an hour. Rode Technic at Legoland every day of my life........
  17. Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay is a must. Do all of the rides in Las Vegas. If I were you, my top priorities would be to go the Adventuredome and then make a trip up the Stratosphere Tower. For any rides in Las Vegas, make sure you buy a wristband because you WILL want to ride again.
  18. Depending on what ride I'm working at in Pirate Shores, I'll usually allow guests to stay on the ride without having to get up and exit. We'll see a lot of this at Splash Battle and Captain Cranky's Challenge. The Ride Ops at Knight's Tournament and Dragon usually do this too on really slow days.
  19. These are some of the poorest complaints I've ever heard from anybody. Rides closed due to rain, running only a certain amount of cars, small capacity per hour is all for safety reasons. There's certain rules that the ride operators have to follow for safety reasons. That's something that nobody seems to realize but decides to complain about anyway.
