  1. I prefer it in the forum but whatever you decide will be fine with me.
  2. Looks like a crazy new version of the taboggin' coaster that I used to see at the state fair & at Dogpatch USA where the car went up inside, came out the top & went down & around the outside of the 'tree' except in this case it uses an elevator...interesting.
  3. Yes. I'm off at least a couple of days during the week so if I'm able to, I would attend.
  4. We don't have a blue ray player and have trouble streaming so it's dvds for us.
  5. Well it looks like I won't be able to attend after all. Something came up at the last minute on the same day that we have to attend but I know y'all will have a blast & perhaps I'll get to make the next one!
  6. I would luv to go, one of my fave parks but it looks like I may hafta work on that weekend.
  7. Unless I wake up sick as a dawg...we should be there!! Just one question...do we pay when we get there? Sorry it's been a while since I've done something w/y'all & I didn't see any posts regarding that question. Thanx!!
  8. I voted a hesitant yes. I love the idea & the perks are great & the fee is less than what ACE would charge & you get a LOT more! But my hesitant thoughts are this: since I haven't been able to take any trips yet (although I always plan to) what if finally there was the one time I could finally go & had to be put on a waiting list, but not as a premium member, just to be turned down in lieu of a premium member. While I do understand the significance of being a premium member getting priority, would you not also see if the premium member had been on a trip w/you before & allow a newbie to go instead, to have that chance even if I were not a premium member as of yet? Or how about looking at how long a non-member has been on the waiting list -vs- the premium member who maybe just been placed on it considerably later than the non-premium. Would that still be fair if a non-member had been waiting longer? Just passing along a couple of thoughts that crossed my mind. If anything were to be added as a suggestion, though, would you have special events at parks in different areas or just going with what a certain park is offering already & work around that? That part wasn't too clear. Thanks for listening.
  9. That was an Xcellent narration & luved the photo captions. Can't wait to try it out. I guess I won't be missing anything since I didn't get to ride it before??
  10. Daaaaang it blew up big! No wonder I had trouble. Sorry guys. That wasn't intentional. Oooops!
  11. Thank you Odene497! I've tried to upload my copy to show the cover on mine but it wouldn't go thru so you did it for me, lol. Thanx! That's the one I have w/just one difference. The tape itself doesn't have a sticker label on it, the words are actually printed ON the tape & says a bit more but it's still the same video. I wish my photo wud upload but I've tried like 5 or 6 times w/no result. gr8LaBoy, mine doesn't have any other adverts on it so there must be three! lol In conclusion, we're all correct, it's the same movie either way.
  12. Dandaman...They must've made a different cover then since the one I have has Loch Ness Monster on the Front & the title of it says "Roller Coaster Thrills" on it. It does say "go for a ride" when it starts but that could also just be a catch phrase. Each time I find it on the internet, it still is labeled as "Roller Coaster Thrills"--OOP (out of print) w/the same cover as mine. I'll hafta dig it out to see what the actual video tape says when it's taken out of the sleeve. That's strange that there would be an entirely different cover for it w/an entirely different title on the front.
  13. RIP Psyclone, EBL...I have that video, it's called Roller Coaster Thrills. The guy wasn't a janitor, he was like an "ice cream" vendor guy--not that it really matters. Yeah, Flashback isn't on there but it's got some great coasters on there. Too bad whoever cut the video didn't do a very good job of it. Could've been a lot better but exciting nonetheless. Funny how I've ridden a lot of the ones on the video.
  14. awesome as usual! It certainly looks wild. Can't wait to ride it someday. Just ordered the video, it's gonna be hilarious. Can't wait!
  15. OTSR = Over The Shoulder Restraints. Coasters like Poltergeist (Joker's Jink, Flight of Fear, etc.) used to have shoulder restraints but they took them off & put the lap bars on like they have now.
  16. Hmmm...Erin, never thought of that but you DO have a good synopsis of it. I never thought of comparing it w/Poltergeist but in a woodie way, I suppose I can picture that comparison. I do agree it feels a bit different, like it has a mind of its own & a bit on the wild side. As previously said, some of the riders--including myself--stated that it seemed to get faster at times on the different go-arounds. I thought someone at the controls was making it go faster but was told that it just happens that way.
  17. Ahem...Jakizle, are you saying I'm OLD???? Hmmm??? Now which was the one under the station? We were going so fast I didn't notice. (I think each time was faster than the one before!!) It WAS indeed, "insane". I'll agree with ya there. I'll have to review some footage from youtube or someplace to see where exactly you were talking about.
  18. I liked it 'cept for the first turn out of the drop. I LUVED the drop, it was great! I also didn't like (in the right hand seat) the way it jostled around the curve next to the water but I heard they were going to wk on it I think?? The left seat didn't seem to jostle as much on that particular curve but overall, that's the only two issues I had w/it. The rest was fine. My fave parts was after the second drop w/the deep curves. I don't know if those are referred to as lateral curves but I luved them. The last curve coming into the station was so close to the beams that if I reach over, I probably would've touched them.
  19. On the first go-round, we had our hands down since that's what Robb wanted, I was hanging on for dear life (so-to-speak) but the turn(s) still got me especially the drop turn which I didn't expect. The turn by the water-when I was in the right hand seat-jostled me side to side & that's how I got the bruises on my left thigh, from the seat divider. It didn't really do that when I sat in the left seat but as far as holding on, Robb wanted us to hold our hands up so that's what we did. After a few go-rounds on the Bullet, I learned how to "ride" it better, to expect & prepare for the turns. Most of the time when I ride, I hold my hands up on the up & down parts but hold on the the bar on the turns, depending on the turn. Some turns I hafta hang on, some I don't. I didn't used to hold my hands up at all but I started doing that last year when I rode the Rattler, then did it the whole time on Judge Roy Scream 'cept on the turnaround, it was a slower turnaround so I felt it was silly to hold my hands up on a slower turn. But anyway, I've been doing it ever since. I also have longer arms so on a lot of the head-choppers I have to pull them down a bit. I prefer to hang on but don't wanna look like a chicken plus on basic coasters like JRS, it's fun.
  20. I would take pix of MY bruises but I'm afraid some of them are in places I shouldn't post about. I have some that encircle half my left tricep & some on my outer left thigh & some in the 'crunch' zone on my other thigh. Don't know HOW those got there! Funny thing is the front sides of my neck hurt the worst, I couldn't hardly swallow for the next day or two. Didn't mind the bruises, usually get those all the time but the front of the neck part was weird since that's not usually where it gets me, I guess I was straining my neck muscles & didn't know it. I'm not complaining though, it comes w/the territory. It was worth it. I'd definitly ride it again. Maybe just in the back though. The turn after the drop was definitly unexpected.
  21. What's funny is if you click really fast on each frame & it really DOES look like we're trying to fly. Some of us look somewhat confused though. Down again... Up... Down... Up... Down...
  22. Thanx West for posting that. LOL ya beat me to it! Thanx again, appreciate it. Like I said before, they're not much but at least we got some extras there. We have more photos than anything, I posted the photos I thought would be the most enjoyed. The others are just us like in the station, raising our arms then down, then back up again, etc. Just stuff.
  23. Thanx guys for the help. Duh I didn't think of a zip file but I DID post them on youtube just now. Look for foxxycoastergirl or just look for Kemah Boardwalk Bullet or something similar. Hope you like! Sorry for the poor quality but that's what you get when you don't have the best camera to film with! Most of them are just short clips of flybys. My hubby hasn't yet grasped the concept of FILM FILM FILM as much as you can when it comes to coasters but he's learning! It was a blast meeting such kewl ppl yesterday. Just keep us in mind if any of you locals wanna go 'parking' together in the future.
