  1. Interesting. I don't really understand what's going on with the banking.
  2. Wow, this looks like SO much fun! What a cool idea.
  3. That is awesome. Will there be a way for riders to choose which style of raft they want to journey on?
  4. I hope you're not suggesting that the park should replace Mr. Freeze with S:UF*. Freeze is easily the superior (or at least, less boring) coaster. *I'm assuming you're talking about the B&M flyer clone?
  5. This is a great announcement! So many conveniences to be found at Holiday World. Interestingly, I was considering emailing you last week and asking if the park had full-coverage Wi-Fi, Paula. Thanks for saving me the trouble.
  6. That is one neat-looking B&M. I love all the "surprise" moments of airtime and unique transitions.
  7. I apologize for my ignorance, but what do you mean by "BGW's height limit?"
  8. ^I highly doubt it. But who knows.
  9. Honestly, what are you talking about? First off, this is eight hours from me. I'm not getting anything out of this deal. My point is that it's total lack of care for a cohesive theme, or poor planning, or both, that's letting them plop a giant neon boomerang in a country-themed area. Agreed. I've never understood how complaining about (what is for some reason perceived as) complaining adds anything to a conversation. Your questioning of the park's logic regarding this addition makes perfect sense.
  10. Plus, SFMM's is getting moved to SFNE...so to many, that will appear to be brand new.
  11. Those are some awesome-sounding concepts! Regarding the Stratosphere: it sure seems like a lot of power would be needed to rotate an entire 214ft tower...
  12. ^^Plus, you missed one. Something seems fishy to me. Not that I'm trying to be a conspirator...but I thought BGW announced that part of the reason they were removing Big Bad Wolf was because it had "structural problems"...yet they are reusing half of the coaster's footers? I guess you could reason that these problems only existed on the first part of the ride, but that seems strange considering the dive down to/swinging out over the Rhine River was by far BBW's most intense section.
  13. Were any of the tunnel lights on? (They were on earlier in the summer and it really dampened the experience. )
  14. Does 45 degrees sound a little...gradual...to anyone else?
  15. It looks like the coaster is taller than the other El Locos, but the drop itself is the same length as all the others. Darn. Still looks wicked, though.
  16. I highly doubt the park would remove $30+ million worth of B&M coasters just because the trains won't duel anymore.
  17. ^Hm. Guess that would explain my family's and my disappointment in "the number one theme park restaurant in the world."
  18. I absolutely love these things. To me, the First Generation Freefalls seem like more of a ride "experience" than any of the newer towers. While the 2nd and 3rd Gen towers just take you up and down, these things take you back, up, forward, drop you down, lay you on your back, and then take you into reverse again...and the drop seems way more intense/breathtaking. What I don't understand is why the shoulder harnesses on older Intamin rides are shaped so that they dig into your chest and stomach (see 1st Gen Freefalls and Looping Starships). Those restraints are SO uncomfortable and it seems like just a slight alteration of them could make the ride experience much more enjoyable than it already is.
  19. Did you all not see the concept art? It's obviously going to be a Schwarzkopf...
  20. Whoa. Euro Star has a double-corkscrew? That's cool.
  21. ^ And terrifying. Don't forget terrifying.
  22. Great review; I'm attending KI's Halloween event for the first time next weekend and I can't wait. Glad to have you back. I've always been a huge fan of your photos.
