  1. Does this mean the ride is closer to opening than we have been expecting?
  2. Do you guys know where I can find discounts to Belmont Park, Adventure City, and Scandia?
  3. Darn. I thought it was going to be themed after Charlie's Angels.
  4. What a great-looking little coaster! I can't wait to hear more reviews from opening day. In all previous pictures, I thought the whole area was covered in dirt and was just waiting for grass to be planted. But now that I see it is actually covered in mulch, I'm disappointed. That is definitely NOT a good look.
  5. Will Superman: Escape from Krypton reopen with Drop of Doom, or will it reopen when construction is complete?
  6. ^Probably a good decision. I hear Robb bites.
  7. ^That tunnel looks great! I'm excited to hear reports from this unique coaster.
  8. Don't feel bad, texcoaster. I missed that too.
  9. People giving this ride an 11/10 is why Verbolten is being regarded as over-hyped. I'm sure the coaster is a fun ride. Let's not blow it out of proportion, though.
  10. Love the lap bars! This should be one wicked (short) ride.
  11. My dad and I are flying into Dallas on June 19th. Our plan is to buy season passes and get some rides in that night, and then visit the park the entire next day before flying out again on the 21st. We would like to avoid renting a car, so does anyone have a suggestion for a game-plan? Are there free or low-price shuttles that will take us from the airport to a hotel near SFOT? We're looking for a hotel that won't break the bank but will either be a convenient walk or offer some kind of shuttle service to the park. If neither of these are practical options, please let me know. Thanks for the help!
  12. That inversion looks nasty. In a good way.
  13. An eyesore? I feel many would agree with me that it's one of the most magnificent looking structures at any park, anywhere, operating or not.
  14. Schools will be out but you should be fine, regardless.
  15. ...which I personally view as an amazing strategy. Their other parks can only benefit from it in the future! (Plus, I'm sure they'll all be great rides...though I did find Cheetah Hunt to be a bit underwhelming compared to its statistics.)
  16. ^See, this is what I don't understand: the Hurlers have always been reviled...while Thunder Run was praised (especially when it wasn't terribly rough). Speaking from experience, Thunder Run was a ton of fun and offered multiple moments of GREAT airtime. I just can't imagine how the Hurler twins could be that much different.
  17. That looks great! Amazing setting for a coaster.
  18. Absolutely breathtaking photos. Thank you for sharing!
  19. Looks good! It's a bit taller than I was expecting. Can't wait to see it in full swing!
  20. I just think it's interesting how so much effort was put into the bridge's roof but no other part of it. Considering this is the most visible (and will be the most photographed) portion of the ride from the rest of the park, I'm very surprised they left it looking so...well, bad.
  21. But in the article, Paula says, "We have our financing in place." Maybe I'm misinterpreting this?
  22. I'm not exactly sure what all of that means.
