  1. I went to the park today because I figured it wouldn't be bad(bad, but it will get worse), and I managed to get some photos of the site so far. I also went on the Mack's website, and found what the layout will probably be. The ride vehicles also look really cool, and this ride should look really good when done. I do wonder how they will fit it all in though. Currently, the site is at least two holes with some equipment around, so it isn't much. However, I know you people have to see photos of every step from markers to completion, so here are the photos: Sign Construction Construction Construction
  2. The only parks Six Flags could sell that they would want to would be Kentucky Kingdom and Six Flags America. The rest of the parks are the parks Six Flags wouldn't sell due to their size. If they do sell more parks, hopefully they don't sell them for next to nothing like they did with SFWoA and the current PARC parks which were sold for 40 million each.(SFWoA was sold for around 140 million I believe)
  3. If Six Flags does go under, I see Blackstone and/or Candover(Parques Reuindos) buying many of the major parks. One of them-probably Parques Reuindos-could buy the whole chain. I can also see Hershey or Herschend picking up a smaller park like Great Escape or Kentucky Kingdom too. While it is risky, there is the probability of a big payoff with SIX. I bought some stock the last time it was low, and while I'll be sad if it goes bankrupt, I didn't invest so much that I'll be upset with my losses. I knew the risks when I bought it, and I just have to hope that they pull through. Although, I wish I waited until now to buy...
  4. When you consider how big the universe is, it would be almost impossible for there not to be life elsewhere. However, I don't expect them to come to Earth like that crazy woman from Alabama says.
  5. No surprises here as the whole project seemed overly ambitious. While it would be nice of New Orleans to have a big park, it is still far too early. Maybe once they rebuild more and gain population close to what it was around before Katrina hit, a park might be able to be built. If a park is built, I could see something like Kemah, Old Town, or Timber Falls doing well. It would be something small, yet it would be a place for the locals to go.
  6. Due to drastic changes, the photos have been removed.
  7. ^^Where they selling 2009 passes? Oh well, no surprises here as the park opened at a really really bad time. Then you have the limited ride selection, tattooed ride ops, and high prices, and it is no surprise that Hard Rock Park closed. Sure it had nice theming, but there just wasn't enough to attract guests.
  8. Wow, I knew this would be a big ride, but it looks absolutely huge in its location. Even though it is only as tall as the average hyper coaster, Diamondback looks a lot taller than what it will really be, and it will just dominate Kings Island's skyline.
  9. ^I will give a dollar to anyone who goes in to this park if it gets built and starts preaching a different religion.* I know it is the Bible Belt, but do they actually expect people to go to an amusement park to learn about God? That is what they go to church for, and they go to amusement parks to have fun. I know Tennessee wants a new amusement park, but this is not it. *Payment won't come until one year after the apocalypse
  10. Best of Me - The Starting Line
  11. ^Yeah...I didn't see the giant "B" on the coaster until after I hit submit.
  12. ^It easy because you said you took it, you went on the Midwest trip, and last time I checked, there weren't many riverside parks in Israel. lol If you didn't say that you took it, I probably wouldn't have gotten it.(I almost said Camden Park) Here's mine: Good Luck
  13. ^Just because a park hasn't added a coaster in four years doesn't mean they are in trouble. I think the park gets around 2.5 million visitors a year, so it does fairly well attendance wise, and it will supposedly be home to the Dark Knight coaster that was going to be built at SFNE.

  15. A Six Flags parking pass will work at all parks except for Kentucky Kingdom.
  16. ^Oh well, I thought they owned it, but were under some contract from the city. Although that would explain the trouble they are going through with the city. I'm sure that it is legal if Six Flags is removing these from SFNO, and it should be a great addition to Great Escape. Although a great family park, Great Escape was in need of a large thrill ride like this, and this will be unlike anything in the state.
  17. Six Flags still owns Six Flags New Orleans.
  18. What about Dorney park? From what I remember, it has the lowest attendance of the major parks in the area,(Hershey, SFGADV, Moreys) and I think Robb once said that the only thing keeping it open is the water park. The neighborhood also seems to complain when they want to add a major ride, and the park site could probably be sold for a lot once the housing market picks up. With the exception of Hydra, a lot of the rides could probably easily be moved to another park.
  19. Since when is Holiday World not in the Midwest? Great America isn't in the Midwest either according to Six Flags, as Hurricane Harbor should still be free next year. I'm guessing that Six Flags is considering the Midwest states like Iowa, Missouri, Minnesota, Kansas, the Dakotas, and Nebraska. It is nice that the water park is getting some attention after three years of focusing on the ride park. While I'll probably never use it, it sounds like it should be a great addition to the water park.
  20. One one hand, Kings Island has probably never had a tropical system strike it, but if you have one coming at you, close then it would probably be a good idea to close the park before it hits. Good thing you weren't hurt JZ, and hopefully your friend recovers soon. It is amazing how far this system traveled, and there was some bad flooding up here in Chicago/Northwest Indiana.
