Anybody know what's the latest with this park? Is Nightmare just sitting there waiting for Prince Desmond?

I've always wondered why Chance hasn't (to my knowledge) manufactured a beefier park version of the Zipper. I envision it with open carriages allowing your feet to dangle and with OTSR's (sort of like the Intamin Zac Spin coaster carriages).

^ That ride ended up being far more intense than I thought it would be!

This is how I remember the park from my childhood. Great to see the old pic of the Drunken Barrels which if I remember correctly were located in the Lick Skillet section of the park. I'd forgotten that the Mind Bender area was once themed as Jolly Roger's Island too. Thanks for sharing!

AWESOME POV vid Robb!!! THANK YOU! IR looks incredible.

^^ August in Atlanta equals UGH unless you enjoy extreme heat and humidity. If you can postpone to a weekend later in mid to late September I think you'd enjoy the park more.

^ Great choices!

I enjoyed this tour of NYC towers. The Gehry building (assuming it's Frank) looks a little understated to me compared to some of his other works. I think I saw some Keith Haring sculpture too(?). Thanks for sharing!

Wow I can do without the Audioslave, but the other album covers are iconic for great bands.

I love the carpet and retro feel! Bowling always kills my knuckles, thus why I'm not too into it, but this place looks stellar. Thanks for the pics!

This is an interesting start. Looking forward to seeing more, Larry.

Wow thank you for sharing all of these AMAZING photos...so many beautiful rides! It is odd to see those newer looking trains on Teststrecke instead of the older familiar Schwarzkopf design. Were those made by Intamin?

I absolutely LOVED my visit to IB back in 2004 but was thoroughly disgruntled to hear of more recent reports. It sounds like the park might - MIGHT - be finally getting their act back together this year. We'll see...fingers crossed.

Love this TR so far. Can't wait to see more.

Wait...are we sure this is in America? GK looks incredibly European, but I'm not exactly sure why. I think it might be because it reminds me of a very progressive piece of modern architecture in addition to being a coaster.

You remember how SFMM's employees used to be under the leadership of Jay Thomas? You know, the guy who would spend time IN THE PARK with his staff and motivate them? You don't see that happen now, and you didn't see that happen before Jay got there. It is SO TRUE that your senior management needs to lead by example. And if you have a guy on top that is willing to come out in the park, and work along side the front line staff, you bet your A$$ you'll have a staff that respects that and is much more proud to work at the park.
When you have a park president that just sits in an office, and walks through the park head down, making a bee-line to wherever it is they need to go, not talking to anyone, why should your park staff be any more social than that person?
More parks need to be led by people like Jay Thomas. Makes total sense why Six Flags got rid of him.
Man I was incredibly fortunate to have a really informal lunch with Jay at SFKK a few years ago, and I was totally blown away. The man is seriously the real deal, and more parks would be blessed to have a guy like him as their GM. Is he no longer with SF?

I love the psychedelic mousie pic (unique!), but the others are awesome as well.

To wrap up March Magic Week, I'll conclude with Magic Mountain in 1978! Thanks for checking out my thread.
Love the wizard and trolls, and notice the Colossus stamp...new for '78!
Thank you to the 1978 MM publicity department if you happen to ever see this.
I love this retro art.
View of the plaza before it got cluttered.
Revolution in all its early glory.
Check out the Colossus model!
I need a bigger scanner.
I love the little troll. Revolution minus OTSR'S!!!
Said it before and say it again...more parks need to bring back cable car rides.
Spillikin Corners sounds a bit like Dollywood's Craftsman's Valley now.

My favorite stand up. Great pics as always, Hanno!

That actually didn't look too bad..compared to Goudurix. Well seriously it looked fairly ok and not too painful. At least no one died.

^ Well your photo and video skills continue to amaze and amuse none the less. I love all these Mexican updates!

I like how you captured that castle looking thingy in the middle of the corkscrew.

We need a place (at least) like this in Nashville.
