What's the latest on the DreamMore Resort? Has construction started? I can't remember seeing any pictures here if so. The website only shows land clearing site prep photos from November...

Song #2 - Blur
Woohoo!

The baby Coke is so cute, and the drink bottles in the window add such a nice splash of color. I wonder if Coke ferments.

Jumping back across the Atlantic and twenty years forward, here's a small defunct park, American Adventures in Atlanta circa 2006. It was located next to Six Flags White Water and died when the economy crashed a few years ago. Anyone know if all of the rides are still sitting there?
Indeed!
The Atlanta Ocean...LOL.
The park was rather woodsey if I remember correctly, and Ridgeline Racer was a zippy little powered steel coaster which RCDB says is SBNO.

^^ Likewise due to the weather in the Pacific Northwest US, I envision a smaller mostly indoor park like Toverland for either the Seattle, Vancouver, or even the Portland area. Well why not make it a chain then. Where are my investors?

^You're welcome Craig. When did you start visiting the park? No one has confirmed I'm crazy (just yet anyway) about that flume jump ramp ride.
-
^ When SDL debuted in 1977, looping coasters were new and a complete novelty.

Mmmm snow and RMC. This is looking amazing. Thank you to all who attended for sharing the pics and braving the winter wonderland!

^ Being from Athens did you happen to catch Luxury?

THIS is incredible. I remember back in the 80's and 90's how long I'd have to wait between years to see new ride development (in print no less), but here it is right here right now twenty fourteen thanks to Robb and Elissa. WOW...thank you guys! I totally hope some parks (ahem Beech Bend) pick this up as it looks super fun. Way to go S&S with this new design!

That's an absolutely beautiful looking train of what I'd say is on par with Disney quality if it all plays out accordingly. LOVE it! I couldn't help but think of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang when I saw it. Thanks for sharing!

Here's a retro look at Alton Towers for your perusement. I only visited AT once in 1986 and don't remember much at all of this park, but I *think* there was a crazy flume jump ramp ride. Maybe my mind deceives me. Am I crazy or did it exist? I survived the Arrow Corkscrew (according to my coffee mug I still have). I can't believe I kept that sugar packet all these years. Shout outs to the TPR Brit Crew!

Great mugs from TDL. It would be great if Shiriki could perform a disappearing act the more you drink out of the mug...then magically reappears as you refill lol. Love my Nightmare Before Christmas mug too!

Some great news from Dave today:
-Batman is being painted this off season.
-They are doing work on the parking lot. We'll see how much it does.
-The facades by Hannibarrels have been completely torn down. The Ninja really dominates the landscape. I saw some pictures on Dave's phone, and it looks great!
-The Season Pass Processing Center is being shut down. All processing will take place at the front gate where all the turnstiles have been torn out. Passes will no longer have pictures, just the biometrics. While the season pass processing center is very near and dear to my heart, this year will be extremely interesting from an admissions aspect.
Have Hannibarrels been restored to working order?

Beech Bend is the closest followed by Lake Winnie and Dollywood.

Thanks Bill, and we must've bought the same mug! I still like to take it to work during Halloween.

Happy 2014 TPR!!! I'll be the first to admit I've been a major slacker with updates to my thread. To remedy this I have set a goal. I want to share with the world from A-Z my amusement and theme park nostalgia collected over many years...hopefully weekly. It's really not right to hold all this collected stuff hostage in boxes in my closet, and though I'm sure there'll be several flubs, I want to do better with my thread, so....kicking off the new year and first up is Adventure City, a small but nice park just a bit down the street from Knott's Berry Farm. I really liked how Freeway Coaster leaped over that one tree branch...too cool! I'm not sure any other coasters do that. Anyway and as always, I hope you enjoy my updates, and be sure to support Robb and Elissa with TPR as well as post comments to keep me going until I eventually maybe someday get to park Z.
This came in the mail back in 2006

Voted and good luck Shawn! Thanks for the bonus pics of Prague, one of my all time fav cities!

^^ STUNNING!

^ That was an awesome PSA!

I would enjoy this and am a little surprised it hasn't already been done in one of the UK parks. After riding it, I'm sure the theme song would be stuck in my head all day just like Euro-Mir's song.

Great trip report! I've really been wanting to get back to Pigeon Forge to ride the SMAC. Looks awesome. Thanks for sharing!

I've heard a few mythical tales about Screechin' Eagle. I personally never got to ride it or visit Americana. Does anything remain at the old site?
