  1. THIS is incredible. I remember back in the 80's and 90's how long I'd have to wait between years to see new ride development (in print no less), but here it is right here right now twenty fourteen thanks to Robb and Elissa. WOW...thank you guys! I totally hope some parks (ahem Beech Bend) pick this up as it looks super fun. Way to go S&S with this new design!
  2. That's an absolutely beautiful looking train of what I'd say is on par with Disney quality if it all plays out accordingly. LOVE it! I couldn't help but think of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang when I saw it. Thanks for sharing!
  3. Here's a retro look at Alton Towers for your perusement. I only visited AT once in 1986 and don't remember much at all of this park, but I *think* there was a crazy flume jump ramp ride. Maybe my mind deceives me. Am I crazy or did it exist? I survived the Arrow Corkscrew (according to my coffee mug I still have). I can't believe I kept that sugar packet all these years. Shout outs to the TPR Brit Crew!
  4. Great mugs from TDL. It would be great if Shiriki could perform a disappearing act the more you drink out of the mug...then magically reappears as you refill lol. Love my Nightmare Before Christmas mug too!
  5. Alabama Adventure (aka Visionland) circa 2007...sadly Rampage sits and rots as the owners continue converting the park into a water park. Under potentially different future ownership, do you think the dry park side could make a comeback?
  6. Beech Bend is the closest followed by Lake Winnie and Dollywood.
  7. Thanks Bill, and we must've bought the same mug! I still like to take it to work during Halloween.
  8. Happy 2014 TPR!!! I'll be the first to admit I've been a major slacker with updates to my thread. To remedy this I have set a goal. I want to share with the world from A-Z my amusement and theme park nostalgia collected over many years...hopefully weekly. It's really not right to hold all this collected stuff hostage in boxes in my closet, and though I'm sure there'll be several flubs, I want to do better with my thread, so....kicking off the new year and first up is Adventure City, a small but nice park just a bit down the street from Knott's Berry Farm. I really liked how Freeway Coaster leaped over that one tree branch...too cool! I'm not sure any other coasters do that. Anyway and as always, I hope you enjoy my updates, and be sure to support Robb and Elissa with TPR as well as post comments to keep me going until I eventually maybe someday get to park Z. This came in the mail back in 2006 Front Back
  9. Voted and good luck Shawn! Thanks for the bonus pics of Prague, one of my all time fav cities!
  10. I would enjoy this and am a little surprised it hasn't already been done in one of the UK parks. After riding it, I'm sure the theme song would be stuck in my head all day just like Euro-Mir's song.
  11. I love EP! The lengths the park goes to for Christmas decorating is staggering. Beautiful...just beautiful. Thanks for sharing!
  12. ^ With such a small swinging radius, how are the forces on the Mini-Discovery? I imagine it could get intense! That looks a bit like Shiriki Utundu up top.
  13. Despite the blinding snow blizzard, I enjoyed these photos nonetheless. Helix is going to be a good ride by all looks. Thanks for sharing, Peter!
  14. Dazzling! Europa Park is just so quintessentially well European to me. Love the photos Hanno!
  15. ^^Thank you Spartans! Awesome game shutting out OSU and congrats on your win! War Eagle!
  16. I've always wanted to see a ride manufacturer produce a variant of the Zipper with open air OTSR ride carriages (like on Chaos). Edit to add I'd like to see more of those Japanese Togo Windstorm flat rides of death in parks outside of Japan.
  17. GREAT trip reports so far, and I can't wait to see more! Thanks for sharing, and I hope to get to Mexico on one of the future TPR trips.
  18. Mark - you do uphold the impression I have of Auburn fans being classier than Alabama fans. Congrats on your team's victory. Thanks Larry!
  19. The Updykes are beaten! Auburn wins it...WAR EAGLE!!!
  20. I hated that I missed this trip, but I'll be looking forward to retro vicariously living it through your photos, Bill. As for Infusion, Miles' expression seems to express my exact sentiments about SLC's!
