  1. Some of my favorite shows are Lost, Mythbusters, Rescue Me, Firefly, Farscape, and The Twilight Zone (the old one). Of course, my absolute favorite show is:
  2. I can't pick just one movie. Some of my favorites are Aliens, Serenity, To Kill A Mockingbird, The Shawshank Redemption, Momento, Tremors, Ghostbusters, and Children of Men.
  3. I've talked to these two people online before, Robb and Elissa Alvey. I heard they run some sort of popular website.
  4. I'm looking forward to Planet Terror more than Death Proof (though they both look good).
  5. I think Adult Swim wins this year. They promised to show Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film For Theaters tonight despite the fact that it's not being released until April 13th. They didn't lie either. After showing the first 3 minutes of the movie they cut the sound, shrunk the picture to a very tiny size and are running it in the lower left hand corner of the screen as regular programing goes on.
  6. I think my first inverted coaster was Vortex at Paramount Carowinds. I'm still in pain from it too.
  7. I was flicking through the channels earlier and I found that IFC was showing This Film Is Not Yet Rated. I really enjoyed it and it's cool to see just how messed up the MPAA ratings board is. Before that I watched Saw which was mediocre. The ending was great but the rest of the film failed to impress. The acting was very bad but that could be attributed to the fact that the filmed it in 16 days with no rehearsals.
  8. I just finished watching Children of Men on DVD and I have to say it's just as amazing the second time as it was when I saw it in theaters. I really can't recommend it enough. Phenomenal acting, excellent directing, and amazing cinematography; it has it all.
  9. These are all great! It makes me wish I had some sort of photoshop skill.
  10. Secret Rings is a step in the right direction but it's still very flawed. Hopefully it marks a turning point for Sonic Team because I'd really like to see Sonic get closer to his 2D glory days. If we see more games like Sonic Rush I'll be very happy. In a recent interview Sega of America president Simon Jeffery said, "We are actually undergoing a fairly considerable refresh of Sonic as an intellectual property, as a character. Sonic on the Wii is probably the first product that's come to market that reflects that. We're not going to be bringing another game out on the other platforms for quite some time, because we feel that it is time to reinvent Sonic, to make Sonic contemporary again." I think he's on the right track. Hopefully a couple of years down the line we'll see Sonic come back in a big way.
  11. Funny that this thread came back up tonight. It's LGBT Pride Week here at PSU so to celebrate a bunch of friends and myself went and saw a drag show at the student center. I was very entertaining.
  12. I bought the Nintendo USB Wi-Fi adapter in hopes of being able to get my Wii online here in the dorm (as we don't have Wi-Fi) but unless I can figure out a way to change my system's MAC address it's no good. To control who uses our connections each ethernet port is set to only work with one set of MAC and DNS settings. I was able to get my Xbox 360 online because it lets you put in an alternate set of codes. I can change everything on the Wii except for the MAC address. Apparently the Wii uses your MAC address to generate you system 'Friend Code' so it cannot be changed. It's rather annoying having the system since launch and not being able to update it except when I'm home (which is 4 hours away). I'll gladly add my code to the list but I won't be able to add anyone for myself until early May. Well, I'll edit this post and add it later. It appears that the sunlight coming through the curtains in my room has rendered my Wii unplayable. I'll try again later today.
  13. I'm currently reading In the Lake of the Woods by Tim O'Brien (for my American History course) and Walt Disney: Triumph of American Imagination by Neal Gabler (for myself).
  14. Face-Punching: Used to describe rough coasters (namely X)
  15. Why does Penn State have to keep these computer labs so hot? Shouldn't that be bad for the computers?
  16. I think the HDD upgrade is really a preparation for the release of the IPTV service this fall.
  17. I'm currently in a dry spell that's almost a year long. This summer I plan on visiting a few parks so I should get my fix.
  18. I loved last night's episode. It was nice to see some of the now dead castaways again and the ending was great.
  19. Hopefully Nintendo will handle most of the development and not the Sonic Team (they haven't made a good game in who knows how long). As for Sonic being in Brawl, there are still no official plans. In a recent interview with IGN the president of Nintendo of Europe said, "That's not on the cards at the moment."
  20. Nice trip report. I never knew that Walt's father had a window on Main Street.
  21. I can't remember if I've posted this here but this is a photo from this past fall. Myself and a bunch of friends camped out two days in advance to get great seats for the PSU vs. Michigan game.
  22. I really don't feel like going to class today but I guess I should...
  23. As usual it looks like all of you had an insane amount of fun. Once again, I'm jealous of all of you TPR folks that live on the west coast.
