  1. Hey everyone,

Looking to get the locals advice for some good eats both inside the park and outside around Charlotte. Would like to know at least one BBQ place too that has amazing food. I'll be visiting this park at the end of the month from CA for the first time and have about 3 days to spare. I already decided I am going to get Fastlane because I want to make sure I get the chance to do everything I want to do and will be there on a weekend, so it just makes sense to me to spend the extra money. If there are any other suggestions that might be worth mentioning, I'm all ears. Thanks!

  2. I find it hilarious how everyone seems so against building a coaster at Knotts. Like its illegal to build one at this park because of the history involved and the small amount of space the park has. Times are changing, and the So Cal market is competitive. The park will build based on what the market wants, and if it is a coaster I have full faith that they know where to put it while pleasing everyone (if not most people) and so that it doesn't look out of place. I personally would like to see something thrilling after the focus has been family rides these past few years, but it looks like at this point we will be getting the dark ride for 2015. Cool, now lets switch gears for 2016.

  3. So, after reviewing the video some more and adding to my first post earlier, I now realize that although this looks like a racer, it is in fact a single track with two lift hills. I'll be honest, this kinda of reminds me of The Beast, but on steroids, and with both lifts side by side. Since this isn't technically a racer then, it'll be interesting to see how they manage to try to race this thing since they designed it like it will race (ie the high five element, and the track interactions with both tracks) Just observations I'm making, and no complaints here about what they decided to do. We finally have a RMC, and it's a unique one!

  4. Looks like we are finally getting a RMC creation, sweet! I like how they made it so it'll still race and the focus doesn't seem to be on the inversions, although I think its awesome we got a high five element and zero-g stall, plus it seems like there will actually be some good airtime moments in there as well. I'm really looking forward to riding this thing. They kept it simple; almost like a nod to the old colossus. I'm not dissapointed

  5. My head is hurting reading some of these posts and the complaints about a first drop on something that is just speculation at this point You guys, they will be announcing this thing in a couple days, then you can complain all you want about how its not fast enough, too many inversions, I don't like the color of the track, etc. I'm just happy that we are possibly getting something in California that could finally be good enough to be called our own and not another coaster I have to travel to the East to ride. If RMC is indeed involved, I don't care what kinda of gimmick SFMM will try to market this coaster; I'm just simply salivating at the fact that this will probably be the best coaster on the West Coast. I'm looking very forward to seeing the official release from the park so I can start bragging that we will be getting something unique, and awesome to one of my home parks.

  6. ^This. For as much as I'd like to see Knotts bring the next big coaster to the park, at this point I'm just happy to see the direction they're going right now. When I worked there from 07' to 11', the place felt run down, empty, and devoid of anything nice to look at. With the renovations and improvements they have been doing, it shows me ( the now customer) that you are getting your money's worth, a better experience, and atmosphere.
