  1. I want to visit Japan so bad. I really hope to go someday, especially so I can see those cool ToT effects myself! Oh, and get me some of that popcorn. Don't they have flavors like, strawberry and apple?

Strawberry, yes. Apple, no--although that actually does sound really good.

Here's the flavors that I can remember:

    Sea Salt

    Black Pepper

    Am I missing any?

Curry always had the longest line. Curry on popcorn didn't sound good to me, so I skipped it.

    Coconut Popcorn

If I wasn't already sold on eventually going to Japan; I am now!

I want the Black Pepper Flavor!! I am one of those strange ones ( me and Janet Jackson ala Poetic Justice) who LOVE fresh Crakced Black Pepper on their popcorn!! That makes me want to visit even moore now!!!! The Curry Flavor sounds NOT YUMMY!!!

Soda Pop at Disneyland (or is that the strawberry?)

  2. Ah, Hamanako Pal Pal.

Too bad their Haunted walk-through was "closed for the season." If it was anything like their dark ride was (WTF) it would have been something, lol.

But, and I really have to repeat it again, having said it in my own trip report...

    V V V V V

The Best - Togo - Flat Ride - Of Death - EVER.

    V V V V V

I so want one of these at my own crappy little home park.

    Plplplplplplease Playland???

Expoland in Osaka had the same flat ride. Though I think they ran a longer and more wild version switching between locking the seats and letting them swing free. Still one of the best flat ride ever, especially knowing TOGO has our safety in mind!

  3. I'm still bummed over missing the Magical Powder ride, but now I have something to look forward to if I ever go again. I think Adam and I just kinda forgot about it after we wandered over to the funky market place by the Ferris wheel with all the less than appetizing looking meat products for sale. Blechhh! I think one of them was actually cow brains. Maybe that's what the meat cow toy was for or something. We got our sushi with tuna, which was totally amazing by the way, and then walked back to the park, ate, and alas it was time to go. No Magical Powder for us. Anyway, Lagunasia was a definite highlight of the trip!

I think my passport is still drying out from the fantastic flume.

  4. Did any of you catch that bizarre parade at Espana?

We got trapped in a corner near Bullfight Coaster while the parade was going on, so we watched, and I danced and waved, and then one of the soldier type guys on a float (one of the dudes with a sword and a shield) looked me right up and down, nodded and winked, and proceeded to watch me the whole way down the street. The only time in my life an actor in a parade has ever undressed me with his eyes. I hold this memory dearly.

Hi Lou - I have nothing to say except that I am in dire need of vomit to stick my hands in!

    Miss you - Adam

  5. Yep.

That's about how it went for myself.

I was on the opposite side as you were, Robb. Other end of that row.

Not the same time of course, which would have made for some really great stereo cursing for Ginny, LOLOLOL!

But at least I know I felt it the same as you, lol.

And Ryan thought I'd cry like a liddle girl - HAH!

I screamed more blue stuff than I think he thought I knew possible, hee hee.

Thanks for putting the vid together, Robb. Instant memory renewal, ha ha.

It was one of the few coasters I have ridden that I felt the need to hold on. My bottom half kept sliding around.

  6. I've got a question and I don't think it has been asked before, but if it has, please call me a Donkey all you want and tell me which page it was on, okay?

Well, I am an 18 year old from the US, and as you can see, have not posted a whole lot on this site.

My plan was to do a TPR trip next year for a couple reasons: To meat other cool enthusiasts, and enjoy a stress free trip (which I can't seem to accomplish when I have to plan my own trips).

I sort of decided to do the Texas one, but now that it is cancelled, it looks like the next best possibility is the Euro one (which has better coasters anyway) considering I live on the east coast and have been to most of those parks.

My question is, as a 19 year old next year, will it probably be hard for me to fit in with the general demographics of the group? Basically, do any people my age do the Europe trips? I have seen young lots of pics of young people on the Midwest, but few and far between in Spain and UK.

So thanks, and again, if I am just asking a repeated question, just guide me to where the answer is!!

I too went on the Japan trip not initially knowing anyone and everyone was extremely friendly. I had an awesome roommate and met a lot of super people. It seemed that people floated between groups but everyone was responsive and open too hanging out with new TPR trip people. I would not hesitate to sign up because it will be the time of your life.

  7. Wooo I made it into the Splash Montserrat photo! That was a really fun flume...well *ALL* of the flumes in Japan were fun lol. I've never experienced any as cool as those were. Spiral drops, airtime drops, backwards through tunnels with blacklight effects, not to mention getting totally drenched on that one at Space World!

Bill it was a LOT of fun hanging out with you!

Not only were the flume rides superb and definitely unique; it was the people that made the trip. Hi Bill & Mark.
