  1. No problem... This could eventually end up saving you (it really will...) -Any type of trainers really, I've had mine for around 7 years (yuck) and they've not fallen apart or anything... -Whatever you do, whatever trainers you take, SPRAY THEM WITH WATERPROOFING IN THE EVENING AND MORNING!!! -Also, take a pillow. put damp items either underneath your sleeping bag or under your pillow. Your body heat will dry it. -Take a bag for anything. Wrap valubles up in waterproofs/those zip-up bags and put in zipped pockets. -Make sure the door of your tent is facing downhill... People at Download put the door facing the top of the hill. It rained and their tent and everything in it was ruined. This leads me on to... -Take an orange survival bag!!! When you're not in the tent, put your sleeping stuff in there... The last thing you want is catching pneumonia or hypothermia from a wet sleeping bag... -Drink regularly (well duh). Save the booze for the last night or you will ruin your weekend. all I can say now is... Stay safe and have fun!!!
  2. Based on what I survived on at the Download... £60-80 on food if you're not taking any of your own Take boots and trainers... Don't forget to spray them with waterproofing! Attach a chain to your wallet Take loads of clothes Jumpers! Suncream, glasses and hat
  3. The only two I've been to are the Alton Towers' Splash Landings and Aqualand in Malaga... Loved the vertical drop... even if my legs did separate and I crushed my you-know-whats... I got a super wedgie on those slides too
  4. Great park, but it only has one flaw at the moment... The water level is too high! You get a more realistic view if you lower the water level and slope the edges Apart from that, it's awesome!
  5. The worst I got was 2 hours on a plane in the middle of Turkey because there were too many planes running out of fuel while in the air... We ended up singing folk songs, then me and my friends started singing the Hybrid Theory album... we got through it one and a half times before they took off to a round of applause from the whole plane... Ahhh... Good times
  6. *Takes a gander at Stealth* worst is Rage at Adventure Island... 2 coasters both pink and yellow... Isn't rage supposed to be when you see red, not pink? also, blue and pink... same theme park
  7. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! *starts a chorus* *passes super-sized double chocolate cake through screen* Hope you have a great day! IceDragon
  8. Holy hell! It just keeps getting better! I really need to get out there now... Phew that looks hot! Ice '3rd wooden rollercoaster!' Dragon

  10. Heh... I know how you feel... I hate being at a great height, but I agree, it may be scary, but really push yourself. I've never been any higher that 100ft on a ride until recently. Detonator really freaked me out. I didn't realise it was a powered launch and it caught me off-guard, pushing my hatred towards height even more. I went to Spain with a friend, the local theme park had a 200ft tower that I was fearing loads; I actually had trouble queuing for it. I sat down, sore all the way up and screamed like a girl on the way down. I done this repeatedly, done a few other rides and pushed myself again. I ended up not holding on or screaming which was a massive step for me. If I didn't do that, I wouldn't have been able to do Stealth, let alone wait for Kingda Ka and Top Thrill Dragster. The key is to constantly reassure yourself, but push to do the scariest thing you can do. Go on thehighest ride when you first get to the park, preferably a launched as it will end fairly quickly, but you would have conquered your fear. Just persue this until you feel safe with heights and hey presto!
  11. Question: If a coaster has been modified in speed, track layout or if it's returning to the park, does it still count? If so: Stealth (Thorpe Park) Vampire (Chessington) Flying Fish (Thorpe Park)
  12. heh, the great thing about England is, there are so many specialists dotted all over the place... They have such a wide variety, it's almost insane!!!
  13. I tend to eat them... Last time I was cought, I got let off!!! BOOM BOOM!!! I can't (legally) buy them, but I'm a bit of a pyro... I tie fuses together on fountains and set the middle off... I got 5 or 6 fountains going at the same time doing that! I also nearly blew my face off with a rocket... I set a catherine wheel alight, it was actually on fire and spinning... It was awesome... It melted and pieces of burning plastic fell on the floor... I've had too many close calls with fireworks... My favourite are the Supersonic Booms... pretty colours and an even louder bang that rattles windows!
  14. Quadraboobs?
  15. We ordered 3 large pizzas with all toppings to someones house we didn't know... the delivery name was P. I. Staker... My favourite one was when a delivery place ask where I was (they all ask), to which I replied 'you stalker!!!' and hung up... they'd phoned me to find out where the pizza was to be delivered... They called back and I explained the situation ("they dialled the number wrong") heh... Mine aren't that good... I usually go into an ice-cream parlour and demand Ben and Jerry's, which they don't (and never will) sell. I storm out yelling 'I want Ben and Jerry's!'... 10 minutes later at Asda I leave with a massive tub of the Chocolate Fudge Brownie or Phish Food one, go to the cinema and eat it. I've had some strange looks before...
  16. Rattlesnake - Chessington Colossus - Thorpe Park Rage - South End Nemesis Inferno - Thorpe Park Mighty Mini Mega - South End Green Scream - South End
  17. heh... less insulation needed in winter
  18. I generally know where all the rides are in pretty much any park anyway... I do understand what you are saying though... It's a real rip-off as there are some (smaller and less-developed) parks that provide free ones
  19. I don't look anything like that in real life (I hope you guessed correct - I'm the one in the black 'Special' top). And, even my friends agree I got the 'double chin' deal while on it... It was quite funny actually. I was on the ride with a complete stranger in the same situation as me; both new, both scared. I let out a massive 'woah!' (the photo catching me between the 'w' and the 'o') while he screamed... We both came off laughing really hard!
  20. /\ you think that's bad? || || || || \/ I really don't have an excuse for my face... It gave me a double chin!!! lol Which one am I?
  21. Does nobody like him any more????? I think it's time for hm to smell the cookies... mmmmmm... cookies... awww bugger. I want cookies. I wonder where it'll be filmed now
  22. ...and we're sad and pathetic? hell yeah
  23. Blair Witch shouldn't have been thought of in the first place... Worst. Film. Ever. Best sequel? Probably Goldmember... I got so many kicks outta that! Worst? Final Destination 2 & 3... Same idea + nothing original = yawn... I did like the whole roller coaster crashing part though
  24. I have a few friends that love rollercoasters about as much as I do, but they don't call themselves enthusiasts... My dad hates theme parks and will (pretty much) refuse every invite to them. My mums more open-minded. She likes the atmosphere and will do the occasional kiddie credit... She also does the occasional major ride, the latest and probably the only one being Rita which she thoroughly enjoyed (her on-ride photo says otherwise...). Thats encouraged her to do Air at Alton Towers this year! I have truly ever opened up to naming all the makes and models to one person whom I work with purely because he opened up about him being a car enthusiast... Only friends, family and you lot truly know I'm a coaster freak!
