  1. I'm sorry, but WTF. How many times have you told people off for rating or judging coasters they haven't ridden? Yet here you are doing exactly that. You have not ridden Prowler. You clearly have been paying very selective attention and are extremely biased against it if you are still unwilling to consider that maybe it might be worth something. Listen, I'm sorry you think I'm such an idiot, I'm sorry that I'm happy because a completely deserving coaster did way better than I thought it would, and I'm sorry that I'm going to get screamed at for saying this, but your comment comes off as pretty snarky and a little mean. No offense meant in any of this, of course.
  2. I've been saying it since June, my friend. One mixed-bag review (read: almost completely positive) and now the consensus is that it's mediocre. Well, here we are and it's in the top ten. Maybe we'll get some more believers now. That said, I'm excited to see so many mainland European coasters on the list this year! Yay!
  3. First drop and raven turn were out of this freaking world incredible. The rest of the ride was just okay in comparison. I've only ridden it once, though, and only as X2, so I'm not exactly the best source.
  4. Hahaha - it's a completely new ride except that it is exactly the same ride. The whole article treats it like the coaster is being removed. That was funny.
  5. Good stuff. Germany is such a fantastic country and Munich is probably my favorite big city in the world. I spent a couple days near Marienplatz in March with a school group. Fun to see pictures of that stuff. Looking forward to Europa Park. Btw, "und" is spelled with a d, not a t, lol (looking at the title of the thread).
  6. All of my video is from a digital camera. Sorry! Hope you can find some good footage.
  7. -The slowest wait is Avatar. Even then, though, it won't take you more than a couple hours. -Not at all. That's one of the reasons I like it so much. It's a fantastic flume and you don't get drenched. -I actually really don't like the mall. It's massive and loud and crowded all the time. So is the park, but roller coasters make a difference there. At MOA, make sure you also check out Tak Attack and Jimmy Neutron's Atomic Collider (formerly Mighty Axe and Treetop Tumbler, respectively - I can't stand the new names). Screaming Yellow Eagle is also a pretty good ride, and one of the last of a dying breed. Don't know what the new name is. Danny Phantom something. Anyway. Fun stuff.
  8. OMG I did not want to get into this again. PROWLER IS NOT A FAMILY-RATED COASTER. I cannot understand why that is so difficult to comprehend. EDIT: I should be clearer. You have not ridden Prowler. You have no basis for that statement. You are in no position to judge. Families can ride Prowler together, yes, just like every other GCI and almost all wooden coasters period (even including Voyage). That does not mean that it is mild or in any way less intense than any other coaster. Prowler, once it's warmed up, is easily among the most exciting and fast-paced coasters I have ever ridden, wood or steel, and at night, that excitement only increases. I am NOT a fanboy, I am NOT an idiot, and I DO know what I'm talking about comparing Prowler to Voyage. Don't want to attack you. You aren't stupid. But you are giving this ride a reputation that is not really true.
  9. ^^I'm talking about Prowler and EK, not Mamba and Freeze. I can see how you would enjoy Mamba more. It isn't far behind Freeze for me. Ryerson has a good point - night rides on Prowler are very, very comparable to night rides on Voyage, if a little shorter and smoother.
  10. I don't think Evel is anywhere near Prowler. Two totally different levels of ride. Evel is a great ride, but it just doesn't come close.
  11. I don't really think it's fair to compare River King to Wacky Worm, do you? I mean, really. If you had ridden Prowler again at night, it would have shot up even more. The ride gets better and better and better as the day goes on, and it is absolutely relentless at night. As far as I'm concerned, the ultra-long queues at SFSL are enough to put it behind WoF, but I think the collection of rides is better as well (at WoF). That's just me, though. Actually, I would put Freeze ahead of Mamba. I like how SFKK doesn't even factor in to the comparisons. SFSL is a nice SF park. And WoF is certainly an entertaining way to spend the afternoon. But SDC trumps them both by a lot.
  12. Okay, you know what? This is absolutely ridiculous and completely disrespectful. My post used reasonable logic and made perfect sense. There is no reason to be so blatantly rude. I know it isn't a big deal, but it is so offensive to see an attitude like that directed at an undeserving post.
  13. Half the voting population is from Ohio. That may have played into Prowler beating Manta (maybe...), but honestly, most of the voters probably go to KI multiple times a year. Or maybe, just maybe, it could be because Prowler is a good ride. But how dare I suggest such an outrageous possibility? Sorry, I don't want to start that again, but please, I don't think it's that big a stretch.
  14. Go to Timbers, then take the train back to Grand Rapids and work your way around and eventually back to Timbers. Even if you get there late and its super crowded you won't have trouble getting on all the rides and getting pretty bored.
