  1. Great addition! I think I'm more excited for this than for SW8...
  2. My thinking is that the unusual two-angle incline for the lift hill is only there so they manage to get the track at a certain distance from the station without gaining too much height and breaking the "tree height restriction". I don't think it serves any other purpose, and while the idea of a launched hill was kind of cool, the complete lack of banking on the first turnaround rules it out...
  3. It looks good but it does look extremely short, even by Alton's standards...
  4. Oh boy, the TripAdvisor page is actually very comical. Pictures of closed or delayed rides, of an injured little girl, of a traffic jam in the lazy river... I do hope this will be resolved once they've worked logistic out. I also hope they reduce park maximum capacity because clearly it's been overestimated!
  5. Apart from recent construction which might have put people off, Ocean Park is also probably suffering from lack of mainlanders who now have Disneyland Shanghai and many other more than decent theme park options popping up everywhere. Disney France is making improvement but to be honest it's been a construction site for the past 2 years, with at least a major ride being closed for refurbishment at any point in time. Hopefully next year will be better now that most things have opened again but to be fair that'd be surprising, I feel their severely lacking significant new additions.
  6. This has got to be one of the most compact layout I've ever seen!! Also, the concept arts look fantastic!
  7. Yeah, not happy with the trains either, but overall looks like a nice add for Parc Asterix. I'm looking forward to seeing it with finished scenery and fx. I also hope they do put a lot of trees/bushes to hide the parking and ride maintenance building.
  8. A video of the first tests on Pegase Express has been made available on FB by Theme Parks & More Here's the link: Additionally, the following album contains few (quite old) pictures of the ride and layout: http://imgur.com/a/Aw7ap I'd add that a lot of theming elements have been since added along the layout, and the work on the station (which is absolutely massive) is progressing very quickly. I'm personally really excited to see more as I'm sure Parc Asterix will once again deliver an amazingly themed experience. Official opening has been announced to be on the 10th of June.
  9. Same section of track from a different perspective, just posted on the park's FB page.
  10. A few pictures of the construction are circulating on facebook: Another video update was posted by the park not so long ago. They mostly talk about theming. It is mentioned that all groundwork is finished and the 17m tall by 23meter wide station has started being built as well. Opening planned in June 2017.
  11. Parts of the Pegase Express track can be seen next to the park... Also most of Le Vol d'Icare's track has been removed: It is (long) due for retracking and will re-open next season along with Pegase Express, le Cheval de Troie and the whole new zone.
  12. Some new concept arts have made their way online - with a preview of the station, trains and indoor section!
  13. Activities seem to have started in preparation for the construction of Pegase, the Firechaser Express like family coaster to open in 2017. In my opinion a very nice choice for addition to that park, and we can expect a top-notch theming as usual At this stage it's mostly land clearing / tree removal:
