  1. https://www.cedarpoint.com/blog/a-few-changes-to-discuss Tony's new Blog entry where it is declared that the sandcastle suites are closing for the last time and being demolished with the adjacent cafe. Also the Aquatic Stadium will also be going with no info of what will happen with All Wheels Extreme. Exciting news for expansion in 18'. I can't wait to find out more ^Beat me to it
  2. ^That's cool, I was also there the day of the Eclipse, if you saw a guy with an Atlanta Falcons hat then you saw me. My Family got stuck in Pittsburgh traffic on our way after watching the Falcons Steelers Preseason game so we didn't get started until 11 on a day it was only open till 8. My mom did end up loving Gatekeeper since she hadn't come with us to the point since 07' when Maverick opened. From other peoples comments it does seem that Gatekeeper seems to be loved by the women Imo. Valravn was about an hr and a half to where I got a middle front row as a single rider missing a corner seat only because the gate shut before someone moved. I also didn't realize the crap ride ops have to take, 2 high schoolers next to me argued about being able to hold their phones in their hands instead of their pockets in which the ride op handled the situation greatly though the one claimed he'd beat the ride ops ass if something happened it. After standing in line in front of the 2 idiots for over an hour I had enough to where I said,"you won't do yit" and he backed down. The ride op did look thankful though because these 2 kids were holding up the whole ride. Other than that I didn't run into any other problems. For the ppl who thought Blue Streak was riding rough this yr, it didn't seem to bother me in my rides in it. Rode Rougarou in the back row like I usually do and still love this ride, it's way better than Mantis and above average floorless. Raptor was actually worse on my parents than Rougarou. Millennium was 45 mins though it was listed at over an hr. I waited 2 hrs for Maverick which was running as good as ever. Gemini just loses something when its not racing and it seemed a lot more rough than the last time I was there. I had a great ride on Magnum and left it there not to jinx it for me, it's usually hit or miss for me. Dragster opened up after a long downtown and we only waited 25 minutes and got back row which was only a train wait so it wouldn't break down before we got on. It's not like King da Ka where if you sit in the back you'd be in pain from the roughness and getting thrown into the shoulder restraints. With just under 2 hrs left we ended up riding Millennium 3 more times. I was the 2nd to last train in the back which was great. It was a a really relaxed day at the Point and it was great
  3. 33 myself. Really the least just reminds me how many more parks I've yet to go to even if the list was not completely accurate.
  4. I thought they designed the top hat to a different angle. For example you will never see Kingda Ka get stuck at the top like Dragster has.
  5. When I was talking with the guy he did ask what was in my front pocket to which i had my wallet. I even said it was my wallet and he let me go, so it might depend on the worker? I think that like everyone else the policy won't last till the summer. Also, thank Boldikus for the link for the past conversation
  6. i went to the park on Sunday with a first timer and it wasn't too bad, it rained a couple times and was cold at times, but it turned out to be a nice trip. We got there a little later than expected and got stop in security and the gate which kind of sucked, but at least it was the longest we waited all day. We started with batman and stayed on a couple rides since we could. My friend really didn't like the Dark Night, but loved Skull mountain and Nitro. I read back a several pages and didn't see this mentioned, but has anyone had any problems with the new phone/key policies on El Toro and King da Ka? The guy at the entrance to El Toro was giving others/me a lot of shit about it. I had a Jacket with zipper pockets just for this time of year and riding coasters. If it wasn't for the sunglasses over my phone in my pocket I would have had to get a locker. They said zippers don't matter, but that really didn't make any sense to me, it was really causing problems with people trying to get in line. I can't honestly imagine the policy lasting when bigger crowds come with the warmer weather, but everyone has a phone. Wondering if anyone else had any problems/ anything with this? I understand where it's coming from, I myself got hit by someones phone on el toro before, but it just seems like a way for them to get a cheap buck. I just wish I knew about it before I went. I do have praise for the Bizarro crew, they were pumping trains through and the team leader was really pumped up. another guy said he sounded like an auctioneer. I got a completely different vibe from the ride. We were going to wait for Superman, but it started raining and they took a train off and we weren't about to wait with the queue full under the canopies. We then went over and waited for Ka to open up again and got on pretty fast. We were row 4 and it felt faster than usual, we actually lucked out and got to stay on since the people in are queue had to wait another train for family. All in all it was a good day and my friend enjoyed himself
  7. I saw a good video on WKYC 3 Cleveland with Tony talking about the upcoming season, the 150 year and anniversary, Cedar Shores, and how Mean Streak is dead and if you come to the park you'll see things.
  8. So far I've only been on Wicked Cyclone and Lightning Rod and I wouldn't put either above those coasters. I have the unpopular opinion that Thunderhead is better than Lightning Rod though. I also rode El Toro the day after Wicked Cyclone last year and though it was close the Bull is just plain better IMO
  9. I feel like Bronco could be a good name since it's in Frontier Town and Maverick is right next door. As far as I know I don't think that names been used anywhere else.
  10. As of right now I am Team 2017. I do feel like we will get an announcement on Halloween. I could see how they can do a whole the dead (mean Streak) rising up from the dead like how spirits come back to earth and are present that night. It would also set up pass holder sales before Christmas very nicely too. If there isn't an announcement then I'm leaning more towards 2018, but I'll hope 2017 anyway.
  11. He took the picture down before I saved it myself, but from what I saw it looked legit
  12. From that same post on Facebook a guy drove there and has a pick of a RMC crane. Pic cred to Adam Lieb https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10153767086831956&set=p.101...=3&theater
  13. Did anyone else catch the Live feed on Facebook for Mean Streaks Funeral? I looked for it after watching to get the link, but it appears to have been taken down. It really didn't give away anything. Dead Tony tho
  14. Unfortunately for me I actually got hit by a phone on El Toro's first airtime hill during one of my visits last year. I had a red rectangle on my arm for the rest of the day. I must say that I have got lucky too one el toro, sitting near the back has added an element of watching out for phones, sunglasses, and wallets. On my last trip alone I saw a wallet and 2 iPhones fly by. As unsafe as it is I can't see six flags or cedar fair doing Universals metal detectors to make sure of no loose items
  15. Today was a good day at the park, I didn't get there until around 11:30 and waited an hr when i was right next to the 90 minutes sign. I got the green side, but don't know what to think of it. The shoulder restraints came done hard on my shoulders and overtime we flipped I got nailed in the privates from the harness. then in this order 2x Nitro both front row, first time prob 30 mins cause someone threw up on one of the trains. 2nd time not even 10 mins Went to ride Skull Mountain , but it was closed 1 time batman 15 mins 3rd row # of times I got to stay on 7x El toro 2x toro 3x toro 2x toro I have to say EL Toro Ryan and his crew were the Dream team for Toro. It was a walk on, but they were pumping ppl through. I heard him say," Now we just have to wait for the other train to get to the brake run." Most of the time the train in the station left before that final waiting break run. You guys were killing it. Went over to check out Ka but it went down so I went and rode Zum. Its okay with no wait. Ka got running, but the queue was full so back to el toro. 2x toro 2x toro Of course a asian women threw up all over the kia train so we had to get off and wait for the better brown train anyway. It sucks because the Toro crew was going for there dispatch record of so many trains and that women screwed it up. what are the chances of being on the next ride when someone on the ride throws up twice in 1 day? Went back to Joker for a 15 min wait (purple side)- only flipped once but still was getting hit in the privates. Overall it was a nice day and it wasn't to crowded. I was there from 11:30 to 4:45 and got a lot of good rides in. Total el toro rides 18 ola
