  1. Hi Trevor, Amazing pictures that you have shared with us! Would I be rude in asking if I could have a couple of them in all their glory i.e. at full resolution so that I can use them as my desktop wallpaper? Thanks in advance! Dan
  2. The ride reduces your brain into monkey-mush. That explains the monkey theme!
  3. I remember someone once said that the new staggered trains introduce more rattle than the standard B&M trains. At the end of the day though, the first blame for rattle would undoubtedly be related to a train wheel misalignment.
  4. That is strange regarding the rattle. I rode it six times at the end of May, mostly on the back seats, and it simply was the smoothest rollercoaster I have ever been on. Even the ageing Dragon Khan is mostly rattle free. Now if only Furius Baco was as smooth.... then again, it's not a B&M.
  5. it cost us 5 euros for a digital picture to go on a usb stick. I belive the DVD's with you being filmed on-ride are 13-14 euros. Well that's all I remember from Shambhala's photo shop anyway.
  6. I will definetely remember that for next time - front end, inside seat. The annoying thing is, is that I had the choice between an inside seat or outside one. I chose outside, oh what a mistake that was. It was however at the back end of the train so I guess little could be done to make the ride any more enjoyable anyway! As for shambhala, I would love to be stuck at the top of the lift. Firstly it would give much more time to admire the view, and secondly there is always the possibility you will have to walk down the lift hill walkway which could be a very thrilling HIGHlight of the day!
  7. Hi I was at PA from 29th to 31st of May. First of all, Shambhala has to be the best coaster I have ever been on! For me & my wife, it was much more thrilling than Dragon Khan. I rode the Shambhala 5 times throughout my stay and it was amazing all the buzz and excitement surrounding each ride. The end of every ride was followed by applause by all the riders! Airtime was great and I would suggest not to let the lap support get pushed too securly to your body, that way you will lift out your seat on all the airtime hills and literally feel like you are flying! I never got to sit at the front but I was at the very back twice and my god do you get sucked over the top of the lift hill! PA is such an awesome resort, we were gobsmacked by the great quality of the room at the Hotel PortAventura and the water park was also a great surprise! One comment I have to make is about the god awful Furius Baco. I rode it once, and no more since it rattled my body to pieces in no way I have ever felt before. I'm talking a roughness that FAR bypasses anything you can feel on Stampida. Please someone reassure me that it is not normally that rough because I truly hated it and wished it would finish. It was far too rough to enjoy. However, shortly afterwards it shut for technical reason for the last 2 days I was there so I am hoping the extreme roughness was part of the fault.
