  1. Any chance of having a West Coast event this year? TPR events are always so much more fun than those other enthusiasts'.
  2. Any idea what the "other company" is that we're sharing the park with on Saturday night, or what kind of attendance numbers they'll be contributing?
  3. Everybody needs to remember to divide all the stats (number of airtime hills, number of inversions, and ride time) by two, since this will undoubtedly be a dual loading platform coaster. If you want a 4 minute ride you will have to wait in line twice for two 2 minute rides.
  4. Thanks for the tips! I'll keep checking back for more until we leave on the 26th. If anyone's ridden Hades since retracking I'd love to hear about your experience. -Andy-Andy
  5. Hi ! My family and I live in Northern California and have been to several WCB events, and we get around Florida and Vegas quite a bit as well. We've never been to the Wisconsin/Michigan/Northern Indiana area, so.... I'm taking my family on a trip around Lake Michigan (Michigan Adventure, crossing the lake to Green Bay (Bay Beach), to the Dells, to Marshall, to Gurnee, to Indiana Beach). (with a day in Chicago after Gurnee to mend our beat up bodies and check out the pizza) I have not been able to find any recent reports about Hades, though I have been told it received some track work in the last year or so, so I'm wondering if it's re-rideable now. Should I be expecting all the coasters at Mt. Olympus to chip my teeth and require physical therapy afterward like Gwazi in Tampa? What about the Hoosier Hurricane and Shivering Timbers? I can't find anyone discussing those in the past 2 years either. Any tips on visiting the smaller parks? I'll probably get the "fastpass" equivalent at Great America, but should I plan on getting one at Michigan's Adventure? I'm really lost trying to plan for these parks, and since I don't plan on ever returning to the area and I want to make sure to do it right. Thanks for any help anybody can offer! Andy
  6. My wife and I are going to be traveling through the Dells in a couple of weeks. We have never been to Mt. Olympus, nor do we plan to ever return once we've been there. I understand their coasters are rough, and we're willing to skip the worst of them (having paid only $14 each for tickets). I heard that Hades 360 has had some re-tracking recently. Has anyone out there ridden it since then who can comment on its rideability? The roughest woodies we have been on are Gwazi at BGT (as recently as March 2014, with the inoperable side in total decay, and in the back seat), and most of the woodies at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. (Oh and I forgot about that one spot on Rattler, before the re-make... never made it to SOBeast.) How does Hades 360 measure up (in terms of roughness) since they retracked and switched to Timberliners? Should we skip Zeus, or is it tolerable in the front car? I'm thinking it will only take us a couple of hours to complete our visit, since we don't particularly like sketchy go-cart tracks or water parks). Does that sound like an appropriate amount of time to plan for? We're also planning on stopping by Timber Falls and Little Amerrricka on our way to Gurnee. Any advice on the rideablilty of the coasters at those two places would be appreciated as well. Thank you much! A & J
  7. I just bought 5 tix to both days. Probably not many spots left. Can't wait!
