  1. Hi all, Would like some advice on visiting Port Aventura on a weekend in November. I'm looking at a visit on the 21 - 22 of November. It's the weekend AFTER the Halloween activity ends, So I assume it might be less crowded , even though it's a weekend? Will be coming in from Barcelona, I'm wondering if: 1. A one day trip would be enough? (Basically going for the big rides and coasters) 2.Do you think it will be more crowded on Saturday or Sunday? 2.Best, easy, way is a train from the city and back? (I know there are tour buses, but I want to be there before opening time and the buses are there around 10:00 , Plus the option of "plana" bus does not go to Salou from the city Center, Just from the airport). 3.I read that there might be a problem getting the train back to the city (around 20:00) as it might be crowded? Is there a bus company that goes one way from Port aventura to Barcelona city and not the airport? 4. From around pl. Espanya, which train station is the best to get the train from? Thanks!!
  2. So how crazy do you think is it going to be, crowd wise, at Ascension Day weekend? (29-31 of may) Is it an "Avoid at all costs" weekend?
  3. Hi all, From your experience, if i come to the park for one day, do you think it's worth it to pay the extra $$ and stay on site, at the park's hotel, the night before? It's around 70$ more than staying around town (soltau)... Also , is there anywhere i can see the time table of the busses running from the soltau station to the park? How early / late do they work? Thank you!
  4. Thanks simon8899, I actually was told by the park representive that september is usually quite , So there is need for the Express Butler and this is why they do not sell it up front. If the specific day is crowded they will offer it at the park. As for hiring a car, I'll consider it ,although i'm not sure it worth the hassle for that short trip to the park and back in the same day. I'll try contact the bus company to see if there are any known changes to the time tables because of that construction you mentioned. They run the line daily and i'm sure they are aware of the situation. Thank you.
  5. Hello all, I'm Planning a visit to Heide Park around september 4th. As i was looking at the on line ticket shop of the park , i saw there is no option to buy the add on Express Butler for the whole september mid-week days. I'm sure these did not sell out yet, so i can only imagine it means the park should not be too crowded at these time, and the Express Butler is not really needed? I'm, not sure, but i though the kids in germany are not back to school until mid september... Any info on september crowds would be nice. Also , If any of you have used the Hamburg-Heide Park Bus service and can recommend it,Please do. It looks OK , Although us coaster freaks want to be at the park before it opens and that bus gets there 10 minuets after... and leaves at closing time sharp. Takes out the fun of that "first/last train" ride, doesn't it Thanks!
  6. Actually wanted to skip the line at the entrance. Do they Offer fast passes at all ? Cant recall seing these online or Mentioned anywhere...
  7. Any way a non Sweden can buy tickets for Grona Lund on line? It looks like you can only buy them up front if you are local. Strange, as Liesberg sell tickets to everyone on their online store...

  9. HI Marcus, Its probably going to be june 29th. for liseberg. Let me know if you are there.
  10. Hi All, As i mentioned in an earlier post , I'm going to visit both Grona Lund and Liseberg in a few days. Beside the bigger rides -All the roller coasters, the drop tower at liesberg and eclipse at Grona lund, what do you think are the must-do-hidden-gems in these two parks? And, what is the "not to be missed" food while you are in Liesberg\Grona lund? (read somewhere on some great deserts i think ) Thanks!

  12. Ok Guys, Following advices from this forum and due to the prices of flights, My route will be starting at Gothenburg - spending the first day (at least) riding "balder" as much as is can. The second day - i will take the train early as possible toward stockholm and Grona lund. * Planning on buying a reboockable train ticket, so in case i feel i need some more "balder" time I will have the option to take a later train * The last half day - More grona lund/some Stockholm sights seeing... Beside the bigger rides -All the roller coasters, the drop tower at liesberg and eclipse at Grona lund what do you think are the must-do-hidden-gems in these two parks? 13. Basically what i thought about Lond, Although the earliest you get to stockholm from goteborg by train is around noon. Still leaves a good few hours of riding though. By the way lond, As a local , Which park do you think is better coasters wise?
  14. But gröna lund does not have Balder (As now shown on Robb's coasters article ) And i do think Balder is better than Twister, no? I did some more digging and found it is quite possible to do both parks in 2-2.5 days , and have about a full day total in both. I now have to decide wether to go between the cities by air or rail as prices are almost identical. As i see it a 1 hour flight = 3 hours by rail , if you consider the time it takes to get to/from city centre to the airports (about 30 min each way) and the fact you have to be at the airport about an hour and a half before takeoff... It's going to be a marathon, and i won't see too much of the city for sure, but you can't win them all i guess.
  15. Thanks slem, I just wonder if a short day in each park would be enough for truly enjoying it, as it is a weekend and i suspect both parks will be crowded.
