  1. Next to the aquarium would be great. I think that having the two that close together would create more of a "destination".
  2. One night at SFOT I had to clean the smudges off my glasses where Titan pressed them against my eyes. That same night Texas Giant was almost smooth and maybe the most intense experience I’ve ever had. There was no line, so we re-rode 3 times before we were exhausted… NO pain. One trimless backseat ride on Alpie I saw my daughter go limp in the cobra roll and didn’t come out of it until the snap roll slapped her head against the OTSR…I couldn’t walk for a while because my legs and feet hurt too bad. I can’t understand why some people say Alpie is forceless.
  3. I remember being in the diving bell but not much else about it...somehow a bat got locked in it with us and my girlfriend freaked...kinda distracted me. I vaguely remember it going "under water", and seeing sunken boats, treasure, and the like, but It may have just been video. I do remember the thing actually leaked and "Rube" seeming a little disturbed. I had completely forgotten about the river, but I believe some of the elements are still on the log flume and maybe parts of the flooded mine also. I've wondered why I had this blurred memory of the 2 rides being together. I think it also had a tour guide on the boat. Where did you find your info, I'd like to check it out.
  4. I have a $$$ pair of prescription Ray Bans and I'm not about to leave them with someone. I've only been on about 53 coasters, but I've worn them on all with no problems. Before I got them, I was at SFStl and they wouldn't let anyone wear glasses or earings on any coaster, including the mine train...but this Spring they didn't care.
  5. The furry thing to the left is Samantha...Sam is honored to be on TPR and would like to thank each and every one of you for making rodents so popular...
  6. Titan's 3rd hill seems like you're never going to land. Why did they waste so much of that ride going round and round when the mcb is higher than a lot of 1st drops? Nobody's mentioned Steel Eel @ SFSW, but I rode it about 15 times one day and every ride/every hill had air . On the bunny hills you'd come out of your seat and not land until the train started up the next one...quite painfull if you weren't paying attention.
  7. What a contrast from yesterday...We got a late start and at 10:00 the cars were backed up all the way to the Sheppard of the Hills entrance. We turned around & went to the outlet malls. At 1:00 we went back and actually found the car we were behind earlier about 1/4 mile from the trolley pick-up in the farthest parking lot (lot F?). We didn't even stop. One Memorial Day they said there were 50k in the park and it didn't seem as bad as SFOT on any given day, but we'd never seen it this packed so we found something else to do.
  8. very funny snyyyper... Does anybody have a clue what I'm talking about? Horse collars are bad enough...why do SLC's have "side" restraints too? With a 52" coat size, I'm used to getting my chest crushed, but pinning my arms to my ribs was rediculous... Are they all that way?
  9. I've only been on Serial Thriller and the only problem I had with it was the was the way the harness came down around my shoulders. Why in the world would the make a restraint that encapsulates your body?
  10. I have high blood pressure, and for a long time I was afraid to even get on a coaster. When I finally took a chance, I can honestly say that I felt better having ridden it. Now I refer to them as therapy. Maybe it's just adrenalin, but who cares, my blood pressure is lower, my heart rate is lower, and I have a sense of euphoria that can last for several days. One day at SFOT I was feelling rotten but didn't want to act like the "old" man... half way up Titan's lift hill, I began to think "this is a really bad idea". By the mcb, everything was great, and I was ready to take on anything. Inverts are the exception. As much as I love them, my body feels the strain of the g's when my blood gets flung out to my feet.
